Has anyone cancelled their order or jumped to another carrier?

Considering cancelling my preorder from ATT and just signing up with another company, has anyone done this recently? did you have ot cancel your preorder forst before signing up with another carrier?? Getting real tired of ATTs sh!% and im considering changinf carriers.
 
I get your point, but iOS means nothing if you can't get the damn phone in the first place. Going to the Apple store and getting the phone you want is pure luck. Some may have to drive 1-2 hours to an Apple store with no guarantee of getting a phone.

honestly, I have a galaxy s3 right now and before that I had an iphone 4 and 3g before that, I have had both and both are great phones. I wanted to switch to the 6+ bc it seemed to have best of both worlds (minus sd card support unfortunately but I was prepared to sacrifice this) but at this point it's weighing on me whether the price of switching (waiting an unpredictable amount of time) is worth getting exactly what i want or not

Ordered 6plus 64gb silver on 9/12 from an AT&T store with an estimated shipping date of 10/31 - 11/11. I have no faith that i will receive a ship notification by 11/11, i was just wondering if anyone has gone past their estimated shipping date and if so what happened?

If i hit 11/11 with no ship notification i plan on cancelling my order and just testing my luck checking stores everyday

when i first started checking this forum people were missing their shipping windows off and on and they would get set to backordered but i'm not sure what happened after that

That's why they have a nice feature that you can purchase online and pick it up in store. That's what I did. Apple store is about an hour and 20 minutes from me. Worked flawlessly. FYI, one Apple Store in Indiana (or was last I checked).

I hate to be blunt but... Use your brain, use your resources, and stop blaming other things when you could have had one already.

this is a lil uncalled for IMO, I tried my best, I'm not always in a spot where I can make the reservation online. You don't know my situation so don't comment on what you dont know.

Most went to back order and shipped the next day

Ya I hear you ..I guess it all depends on where you live
..I'm in the northeast ..so there are plenty of apple stores around ..but even with the dozen or so stores, I had to get the 128gb version as opposed to the 64gb I had planned on buying

..but IMO that's infinetly better than staring at a December ship date w/ ATT
 
I would have cancelled and bought from Apple a LONG time ago, if I could. Unfortunately, I have a Premier Business account, so I cannot upgrade from Apple. Even before I ordered from AT&T, when checking eligibility with Apple I was told that I had to call AT&T.

What is there to know? If you want a phone, either wait around for AT&T to get phones from Apple (it's not like they can force Apple to send phones quicker) or refresh iStockNow. You seem to have the money for the phone because you gave AT&T the ability to take money out of your account as soon as it ships, the time to check iSockNow fairly often, and time to post on the forums. What is there to know? Don't get upset because you had your toes stepped on and heard a hard truth.

Get over the "my situation" like you're in some third world country. It's a phone for crying out loud.

..you will run into issues tho, but a knowledgeable Apple rep can fix it.

You'll likely get this thing called an STI error, which will either 1.) resolve itself or 2.) require that the Apple rep call ATT and have them manually fix it

..idk what it is that they are "fixing", but after an hour or so everything was working fine and I walked out the store with my new iPhone in hand
 
Well. I just got a call in reply to my email from ATT's Executive Appeals office. They're looking into my order and the gentleman said he would call me personally with a more accurate shipping date. Gave me his direct number also.

I'm shocked.

Hmmm... That's very interesting! If you don't mind me asking, who pays your monthly bill, you or your company? In my case, my company pays the phone bill and I pay for my device. If that's the same for you, I will give it until tomorrow, which is the last day of the shipping window, then I'm canceling and going to an Apple store if it doesn't ship.

I pay for the bill and devices ...I just get the corporate discount

LOOOOOOOOONG time lurker here. Ordered my 6+ 64GB Space Gray through AT&T Premier Business (over the phone) on 9/23 with an estimated ship date of 10/31-11/11. I am in day 7 of my shipping window and have seen no change in the status of my order online or via the 877# since day 1. So please add me to the list cause I have a feeling I will be here for awhile longer. Oh one more thing, I'm SO SO SO SO SO sorry Gingersnap3813! You should have had your phone weeks ago! :confused:

Order online and select the in store pick up option. I've done 2 this way.
 
Ordered a 64GB, SG Iphone 6 Plus on 10/19/2014 in store. I am expecting a long wait and was given an initial shipping window of 11/26 to 12/08. I received a follow up email on 10/25/2014 which gave me the same shipping window as before (11/26 to 12/08). I ordered via next, and the transaction appeared as pending on my credit card statement up until today. When I logged on my credit card account, the transaction has now disappeared. I will be supremely annoyed if my order was cancelled for some reason.....

It likely wasn't canceled ..ATT cant bill you until they ship they device
the charge you saw come up and drop off was a "pending" charge to check for available credit

...this is all normal
 
I have been lurking this thread for the past month.

Order Date 9/28
6+ 64GB SG
Shipping Dates = 11/5-11/14

Been on backorder ever since.

I got an email today from idevicechecker that a 64GB SP 6+ was in stock at my local bestbuy.

I went to bestbuy as soon as they opened. They only had one 64GB SP 6+ all the rest they got were 16GB SP 6+ phones. I lucked out. I had him hold it in hand while i called 611 to cancel my ATT order.

So get this when the lady on phone went to cancel my order she said it has already been canceled. WTF? I just checked online "pending shipment" and 877 number and got the "backordered" . So i dont know if my order was canceled and ATT wasnt telling me or if the lady didnt know what she was doing.

She then said it would take up to 4 business days for my phone to go back to "Next" upgrade availability. I about lost it rigth there in the stor but kept my cool. She was was nice and said "let me ask my manager about that, you need that phone now and it wont be there in 4 days". She came back and got it approved or whatever and i was able to upgrade at bestbuy.

The kicker? ATT is doing a deal where if you upgrade at bestbuy using the "Next" program you get a $50 bestbuy giftcard which you can use to pay the tax on the phone.

My wait is finally over. I will never order from ATT again.

Good luck to everyone, I hope all your phones ship soon. I would also suggest to sign up for notifications with idevicechecker. I would have never of thought I would get my phone from my local bestbuy today.

Here is what I don't get... Tons of people must be canceling orders right?
I live in SD with 5 stores I am willing to drive to all within 40 miles. I see the stock is massively fluctuating, this week especially, so one could deduce that those of us that have been waiting 4 weeks or longer would have moved up in the so called "queue" by now so WTF?!:mad:
At this point I don't care I am going to those 5 store tomorrow and buying all the stock, i kid, but I will get a poop color 117 if I have to. Any Color 64 or 128 so over this bullshizz:mad:

I fear canceling my 9/30 order and having something go wrong...

And I'm finally in my shipping dates but no movement..
 
I got 4 days until the beginning of my 11/10-11/19 shipping dates begin which really means wait until after the Thanksgiving holiday to maybe get an email that it's been canceled

I'm really surprised by there being no movement last night or today... I feel bad for the people at the end of their shipping window, but if the earlier orders are any indication there will be a push on the final day and you all will get them. I hope!
 
Bizarre.

I checked the order status page the same as I've done a billions times since 9/23... all of a sudden instead of my ship dates it said "Pending Confirmation." I checked it again a few mins later and it went back to my normal ship dates.
