so istocknow just showed stock in for 128s in SG at my local apple store, I tried going and booking 1 online and it wouldn't give me an option to keep my unlimited data plan and wanted me to sign up for a tiered plan. The only reason I am staying with AT&T at this point is to keep my unlimited plan so this is NOT an option for me.

You can try your luck just walking in; then you have the option of keeping your unlimited data. I know this because there was another customer standing next to me getting his phone that kept it.

I've got the same situation. The only reason I got access to the web status is that I used his office number to back into what my order number is. That's not working on the 877 number for me. It can't find my status.

Yeah, thanks I did try this, twice. And by the time I got there they were sold out. So not just as easy as reserve it online and go to the store to pick it up as other people have made it sound like. You have to call, cancel your order, then reserve it online, and if you are ordering more than 1 phone you have to hope you can go back through the same process again before they sell out. So yeah, not just that easy for everyone.
Actually for walk-ins, they bring the phone out first, then you can do what you need to do in regards to cancelling a previous order or whatever. The Apple store reps don't mind waiting.
I guess you may live in an area with only one Apple store in a reasonable distance, which does suck. NYC has 7 Apple stores to choose from, so I guess I'm spoiled in that regard.
Yes, they bring it out but by the time I have gotten to the store they were sold out so it's a moot point. And yes, unfortunately Indiana has 1 store, next closest is in Ohio, KY, or Chicago and with a full time job and young child at home I am not capable of driving 2+ hours to another store at this time. I'm just going to wait. My wife is very set on the iphone and I want her to have what she wants. Hopefully it's just a couple of more weeks for us. Hopefully a LOT sooner for those who ordered before me.
Yeah, that does suck. It wasn't bad for me since I work in Manhattan and there are a ton of apple stores in Manhattan as well. Best of luck!
This some bull*** I have tried to live chat and it mysteriously doesn't work, and I have tried customer service 6 times out of those 6 times I got a hold of a representative 3 times and each time as soon as I said I had a phone order problem they hang up on me (I have said it millions of different ways and nothing) , I called and emailed the sales person who helped me and nothing...what the hell! Talk about avoiding me!

My wife is kinda cool. I bought her a 5S last year, so when she caught wind she could get a 6+ this year, she was like oh ok, whatever when it comes it comes. She has bigger things to worry about than her phone.
