Does anyone know the difference on the AT&T website between "Preparing to Ship" & "Pending Shipment"? My estimated date is the same (10/13-10/22) but the status changed to "Pending Shipment" earlier today. I called the 877 number & it says backordered, I called the 866 number & it says "order received". I placed my order at 3:02am (12:02 CA time) Friday morning. So frustrating not having any accurate info from AT&T. :confused:
 
Very odd. I haven't changed any names, just next to my name in my list of names there was an option for name variations, i was able to add Adam as a variation, which is not even close to mine.

Don't try to change, just add a variation

Still same error. It fluctuates between error 1028 and 1029. 1028 being that my nickname is already in use and 1029 being the system is not available, try again lster
 
Where is this mythical "cancel" button? Anyone have a screenshot of it? I don't have one on mine but I'm not logged in either. I can't create an account until my service is active. This is the first "personal" phone I've had in a long time.

It's on the Premier order status...Premier meaning if you have a corporate discount. Mine disappeared today.

i believe the difference is nothing.

if you go to the att order page there are 2 options. one to check with just phone number and one to check by logging into your att.

i get on result in one search, and the other when i login.

Order confirmation email said: 14-21 days

Since changing to the 10/13-10/22 date, nothing has changed on premier or regular ATT site. Today, on the premier site, the Cancel Order button has disappeared (like most people's so far). On the ATT site, within the last 30 minutes, my Item status, which has said preparing to ship, has disappeared and the Tracking Number has updated to Pending Shipment. This leads me to believe that there is a label out there with my name on it and a phone coming to me very shortly.
 
looks like you also got 2 different order numbers. The original order then the 2nd order number with your telephone number in it.

now i dont know where does that put us in relation to having it shipped out to be received on launch day. :confused:

Yeah, I have no idea! I mean, we placed two orders - one was the iPhone 6+ space gray, the other was the iPhone 6+ silver - both say gray? And then you're right; the top order has the phone number in it. The second one does not. :/ Crap.

Also, when I logged onto the ATT site to check on my iPhone, the Item Status went from Pending to Preparing to Ship.
 
This is a good idea. I have 5 lines on my account. Are you sure we can regain eligibility if we return the phone after we receive it? It would be a nice back up considering my boyfriends phone isn't supposed to get here till Late Nov. I would so wait in line for a phone this week. Also if we get the phone under someone else's line, can we switch it to our number and give them back the eligibility once we return the first phone ordered....questions to wonder.

I called and asked about this Friday afternoon. The rep I spoke with said yes I could return the phone or decline delivery but she recommended I return it to a store to be sure there were no issues. She also said it can take (but not usually) 3 days +/- for the upgrade status to revert back. I'm still not sure I'll do this just yet but at least it's an option.
Oh, and yes you can call and switch the lines/phones around anyway you like. I have done this before with my wife's phone.
 
Anyone have their "cancel preorder" button disappear? I ordered a 6+ 64gb, ship date 10/2-10/13 and I used to have a "cancel preorder" button but it has disappeared. Any thoughts? Thanks.
 
It looks like folks are getting tracking numbers without the shipping estimate dates being updated, so that means those estimates are worthless. I created a new form to help track when phones are being shipped to help estimate when other phones will be shipped.

My cancel button is gone as well today. I also received that unformatted order confirmation email during the night that a lot of other users got.

Got that email too early this morning. It said bascially nothing new on it. Was actually puzzled why I got it.
Got it for the iP6+ silver, but not the ip6 silver.
