Oh you have no idea lol. I am constantly getting emails from class forum pages from my nursing instructors and other assorted school emails.
 
Did anyone ever see the episode of South Park where cartman was waiting for the Nintendo wii to come out? That's what some of you are reminding me of right now :)

I've preordered every iphone to date from att the second they went live on their site. Every year it's been the same, I've received a bogus ship date and then I get my phone on launch day. I placed my order this year at 1:47 am central time and I have a delivery day of 10/2 thru 10/13. I have no doubt what so ever that I will receive my phone on launch day. From my experiences with preordering from att the dates they give you mean nothing. Odds are if you are one of the lucky ones to get one on launch day you might not get a shipping notice until it's almost on your door step.
 
Yeah if my phone hasn't shipped by Friday morning, I'll just wait in line at my local AT&T store, have them cancel my preorder and I should be able to get the unit I want there.


Customer Care told me I couldn't cancel, I could only return it once I got the device. AT&T retail store said the same thing.
 
I tried to call all day but couldn't get through to anyone. So I went to the store and the agent there told me it wasn't canceled and couldn't be canceled. FML!

Don't trust reps in stores. All though he may or may not be right this time, the reps over the phone can help a lot more. I've been told several times I couldn't do something by reps in the store only to find out the reps over the phone could. I always call now. Reps in store suck!
 
just talked to an ATT agent

we all know by now they either tell us what we want to hear or not.

she said 'Your order is set on schedule for shipment, so you should be getting it soon." Then came back and said "Your phone will be there on the 19th....Best news I have heard since Friday...Cant open 'My Choice" cause they cant verify my address that I have lived in for years...

I got a 6+ 64gb SG, ordered on 9-11 at 11:52pm

This is honestly so true! Especially with early upgrades!! i had to have a rep call the store to prove them wrong

Posted this earlier. I believe this is the email you get when you buy a new phone. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe you get this after new IMEI and sim are attached to your account and the upgrade process is complete. Searched through my emails and see all my old ones for all my devices. I got two of these emails this am, I ordered two iPhone 6 Plus's ten minutes before midnight launch.

Athina : After reviewing the information you supplied I see your chatting in regards to your shipping date. Any order ordered on 9/12 or 9/13 should be receiving their orders on 9/19. Customers are seeing pushed back dates because our system is on a default setting and when the website was getting a lot of orders put in, it automatically pushed the dates back. You should have nothing to worry about and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Received the same email, but I assumed it was due to a change in the wireless plan through AT&T. Did you recently make any changes to your plans?

Reps at stores want you to cancel/reupgrade with them. Remember they don't make commission off online orders so anything they can say to get you into the store to make a purchase Most of them will say.

4mill online orders = 4 million commissions the carriers don't have to pay. Essentially for every online order a sales rep cries a little.
 
Nice. My cancel button also disappeared. 6+ 64gb space grey, shipping dates 10/2-10/13. Hopefully we get a shipping notification tonight.

The fact that the rep noted the order was flagged with FedEx two-day shipping has me hopeful that we get some sort of tracking number tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

See thats what mine says as well...

I expect by tomorrow night they will show as shipping with track #'s

or on Fedex or UPS sites if you search correctly.

Thats the good thing with fedex and UPS, once a label is created it shows up on their system and can be viewed by the shipper and person receiving the package.

Bottom line to me is no matter what ATT says if it aint in the fedex or UPS system in aint comin'

On a side note, I don't know if this was mentioned before but I think the quality of information given is based on whether the rep is based in a United States call center or one overseas.

No offense to foreign CSRs, but most likely the CSRs based here probably have a phone on ordereven themselves, so they know what the hype is about and what folks want to know.

I could be way off base though.
 
worst week of my life

My order has been stuck on "preorder processing" since I ordered at 3:03AM EST Friday. This is the worst week of my life. I wish I was never born.

I just got an email "Information about your AT&T plan" with a customer agreement for Next. My other line installment plan doesn't show on it though.
 
Cancelled my order in store today because my radio shack can guarantee me one on launch day..checked my credit card statement and they had a field day charging my credit card..I only have one line but apparently I'm receiving multiple iPhones now...good thing this wasn't my debit card or anything

Apple reps are Americans. I've seen apple job postings and they are work from home jobs for phone and chat based support.
 
I've ordered with AT&T in the past and I know that the dates given are as just a generic answer because they get so many orders. I ordered at 2:53am EST. An iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey and an iPhone 6 16GB Gold. iPhone 6 says delivery the 19th where iPhone 6 Plus says the 10/13/14 - 10/22/14. In the past I've ordered and go through the stress of "I stayed up so late to order it and now I may not get it on launch day?! I HATE THE WORLD!!!" and then launch day comes and POOF! Everything is right with the world! When I did my iPhone 4 I actually got it a day early.

I love my iPhone as much as anyone on this forum and cannot wait to get my phone. This year I haven't gone through the emotional roller coaster though. I think because as much as I want this phone, I'm willing to wait for it because it will be the biggest (not just in size) upgrade I've ever done and I'm just in awe.

I talked with an agent and apologized for being one of the crazy iPhone people they have to deal with, I can only image how many times an hour they are getting harassed. He told me exactly what I was expecting to here and what I think a lot of us are hearing. Your order will be there 19th and the date is just auto generated due to the volume or preorders.

None of this is stoping me from checking my order status every 4 hours. But I must say I've stayed incredibly calm through through what is normally Hell Week for waiting. Truth be told I'm more excited for my Mom. She is getting the iPhone 6 16GB Gold I ordered. She is coming for an iPhone 4S and this is going to be monumental. She saw the phone and instantly said "I WANT THE GOLD ONE!" Knowing that the order status for hers is 100% the 19th is really awesome because she is so excited.

So at the end of the day all I'm gonna say is I'm not worried about my order arriving on Friday. I'm 90% sure it will, just from past experience. I've ordered every iPhone and gotten them all launch day. I think we should all just lay back and relax and wait for our amazing phones and share our excitement with others!

The CC I used for the deposit was closed by my credit card company due to fraud. I called AT&T and they cannot update/change the credit card that will be used to charge, even though the order hasn't gone out yet. The rep said that if it gets denied (the CC), they will just cancel the order and not contact me.

I called my credit card company and they said since AT&T did a pre-authorization (which they still show pending in their system), there is a very good chance the system will still let AT&T charge my old credit card number since it was tagged as a valid charge.

I guess I'll know once AT&T attempts to charge and ship.

Either way, the IP6 SG 64GB is still 7-10 business days out, so it's not a huge deal if I don't get it right on release date.

In fact, if they do cancel the order, I plan on heading down to the AT&T store on Saturday (which I know will be crazy) to just look at the phones in person.
