I actually did this. The canceling took a matter of minutes, very painless. s far as the credit card goes, I'm still waiting. I was told 3-5 days... Also i didn't have an upgrade so I can't speak for that.

ATT just updated my billing to reflect charges for one time upgrade charge. Shipping info has been changing back and forth between shipping and pending. I expect to see a tracking number tomorrow.

Thought I would share some good news...I JUST checked my order abs it has shipped. FedEx tracking number was included. I ordered mine on the 12th in store around 9am PST. iPhone 6, 64g, SG. I have read this thread all day and saw people who got their tracking numbers who ordered later than I did. My original shipping window was 10/13-10/31. If you didn't get yours and you ordered around the 12th just keep checking. Looks like they are updating the shipping statuses as soon as they can!

Today at 5:00 PM I got the notice that FedEx had picked up my iPhone6 64 GB space gray phone at 6:16 AM this morning! Delivery on 9/19 before 4:30 (FedEx guy always delivers around noon in our little town). Ordered the thing at 5:30 AM or thereabouts PST on the 12th, go an initial ship date of 10-13 to 10-31. It changed on Monday and all is well. What made it difficult is that the leather Apple case came today. Was nice to see the size difference, though. Much larger phone.

Hang in there pal. I ordered mine at 3:26 am (EST), received shipping info today. As it turns out fedex had picked up the shipment on the 13th itself, from Fort Worth TX. Yours may also already be en route.
Ordered my iPhone 6 64GB Space Gray through AT&T Premier website at 8am west coast time on the 12th. Status on AT&T website right now says expected ship date 9/23 - 10/3 (updated from 10/13-10/31 on Tuesday night). However I just got an e-mail from UPS My Choice that says that I have a package from AT&T that is going to be delivered 9/19 by end of day! What a pleasant hump-day surprise!
Your post inspired me to check UPS My Choice… YES YES YES!!! The same end-of-day message, for Friday.
Neither of the AT&T sites I've been checking over and over have changed; they still show the same 9/23-10/2. Thank goodness I signed up for UPS My Choice, and thank you for posting. Good luck to everybody – it feels great!!

I've been lurking here the past couple of days, and I thought I would share my experience in exchange for all of the hope and comfort this thread has provided.
I ordered my iPhone 6 64gb (Space Gray) online a little before 9am PST on 9/12 (I was online at midnight, but I was not eligible for an upgrade... turns out my bill was ONE DAY past due).
My order status on both the regular and Premier pages has given a shipping date of 10/13 - 10/31 ever since, with absolutely no changes. There was a hold for the upgrade price of the phone on my debit card until this morning, when it dropped off.
Just a few minutes ago I received a notification via UPS MyChoice that there is a shipment scheduled from AT&T on Friday! Both AT&T order statuses still give no indication of shipment... and both still give a shipping date of 10/13 - 10/31. For what it's worth, I'm in Los Angeles and my order is shipping from Memphis.
Don't give up hope! I'd all but thrown the towel in, and was preparing to go into the local AT&T store on Friday morning to see about getting my hands on one and canceling my online order. But if all goes well, I should have my pre-order in hand on Friday after all.

same phone just SILVER instead...ordered the same time, NO info...says "preparing to ship"
Ok guys, here's the deal. I went through the exact same thing when ordering the 5 two years ago. I was on the same boat as everyone that ordered right around midnight pst. It took me about a day to get my confirmation and my order status said "back ordered" the entire week up until launch day. I was upset and anxious and I bombarded att and apple with calls, but you know, it's not going to make a difference. These people have so little confrol of where these units are going and can't tell you anything different than what your order status says. These phones are flown straight from China to the fed ex and ups distribution centers. The sheer amount of units being moved is kind-boggling and it's very easy for an order to not show on your status page. I ended up getting my iPhone the day after launch, followed by all of my shipping confirmations and att congratulation emails a WEEK later. So don't worry people, if you ordered your sometime on the 12th, you will get your phone this weekend. So leave the poor reps alone, they probably are getting the same exact call every 5 minutes. If getting it on launch day is such a priority then just take your chances at retail, but at least you know here you're guaranteed one ASAP. (Again which is Friday or Saturday)
Ordered my 6 64GB Space about 3:30am EST. ATT site still says Preparing to Ship. I go to UPS and look under mychoice account, I have a delivery from ATT coming. It is sitting in Memphis coming from :MDC PROJECT2-DF(AT&T MOBILITY).

I really don't understand the logic of cancelling a sure thing for a slim chance of picking one up at the store. At least wait and see what happens at the store first and if you get lucky after camping outside at the back of the line for 24hrs THEN cancel your online order. Unless you're cancelling because you don't have the credit or cash to afford two phones at the same time until one gets refunded then why the hell are you buying an 800 dollar phone in the first place? If you cancel now and don't get one at the store wouldn't that guarantee you not getting this thing until after october? Just saying that I'd take my chances with a preorder that has a oct/nov date any day especially since these dates are looking very likely to move up. Am I missing something?

The 6+ 64 Gold is showing early November. I just spent half an hour on the phone with ATT Business and they said that they didn't expect it to actually take this long, and that they were being conservative on the shipping estimates. Still kind of annoying...When I ordered the phone I was told 2-3 weeks, which is a far cry from 6-8 weeks.

I can confirm that mine is the same situation, premier order starting with 1016 and no updates. On mobile it shows my order was last updated on Sep 12th.
Ordered 6 SG 64GB at 1pm EST Friday (Next/Premier). Out of nowhere it updated an hour ago from 10-15/10-30 to shipped and FedEx tracking # for Fri 3pm delivery Western New York.

Well AT&T must have heard me talking about them, they finally sent me the shipped email. It would have been nice for them to let me know 3 days ago when they actually shipped it.
Same boat as all the early preorders. 16gb iPhone 6 plus gold. Ordered at 2:55am eastern time on 9-12. My order status was saying the 10-2 ship date from the very first email that night. Today it switched to shipped with an arrival date of 9-19. Really excited now!
LOL-maybe if you were awake with the rest of us, you would have seen it too. Again,just happy its on the way.

So I was like most posters on this thread wondering about the ATT order system shenanigans and when i actually would receive my 3x 6 64's. I ordered on Friday, around 6 AM CDT. All week only one phone showed processing for delivery around 9/23-10/2. The other two ordered immediately after the first one had delivery dates of late October and then on Monday the estimated shipping date moved to 9/23-10/2.
Even on Monday UPS showed the first shipment arriving on Friday with nothing for the other two. I just checked UPS (having checked previously 2 hours ago) and lo and behold I have three 6 64's being delivered by end of day.

I'm loosing hope. I ordered my iPhone 6+ 128 GIGS 6 minutes after presale time and I am stuck on: READY TO SHIP with dates being stuck on 10/2-10/13. I'm trying to be patient though!! I know it's just a phone but UGH!!!
