64 gb iPhone 6 Plus Black (2 yr Contract)

My estimated shipping date is 11/9-11/27, which is insane, as I was told 3-4 weeks at the store. Otherwise, I would have ordered through AT&T.

I have an issue with the fact that I want my next plan to renew every mid-September, but this whole November delivery date is going to screw that up. Is anyone currently ordering the pluses through Apple and getting a much earlier delivery date? Or are all of the pluses "backordered?"

Oh, and my credit card was charged for both phones, which makes no sense since they haven't been shipped out...
P6+ at Apple was 3-4 weeks a couple hours ago. I have double ordered now and will cancel my AT&T order if I get my Apple order first. I was willing to wait until October whatever for the phone but after CC issue I got bumped to November. No thanks.

I have been successful with getting an iPhone on launch day for the past three years. This year doesn't look too stellar for keeping that track record. Would anyone who is complaining about an October ship estimate like to trade for a lovely November ship estimate?

Anyone else get charged the wrong amount?

I got just the regular 16 GB one, which is $199.99. I live in Mass, so the tax should be only $12-$13 more (6% tax). Yet I got charged $240 and this is the actual charge, not a hold it seems like. The initial charge was for a buck and that went away for the $240.

And it cant be the upgrade fee because that's supposed to go on the first bill, not upfront. I talked to 3 different reps and they claim they cant do anything cuz they cant see the full order yet. All they said they can do is make record of this until later on.[/QUOTE

You're probably taxed on the full amount of the phone, not just the subsidized portion.
 
9/12 3:45 AM - ordered 64 gb iPhone 6 space grey via AT&T.

Confirmation email said delivery 9/19.

Order status late last night on their webpage went from delivery date of pending to 10/13 - 10/31.

Ugh.

Called support, 90 minutes on hold later, AT&T cancels my order.

Used iPhone reservation to reorder with apple, delivery of 9/19.

AT&T. Never. Again.
 
I ordered 2 minutes after the store opened on att.com since apple.com was down. My ship date is Oct 2 to Oct 13 for the 6+ slate/grey 128 GB.
 
I ordered the 6+ 64gb at 11:49PM Pacific on thursday night and my status is preparing to ship and expected ship date 10/2-10/11.

I got first email at 11:50pm and the second email at 11:52pm. Then a text the following morning saying my order was sent to our warehouse for shipping.


Hopefully it's just a cluster and not actually correct. I've yet to miss a release day delivery.
 
When I log into AT&T and do look at the orders there is no link to cancel preorder. Are you referring to the Apple site? I bet there is one there, but not with AT&T. I also checked the email link for order status and that also has no cancellation order. I'll just keep both on order for now and deal with it later.

I logged in from the confirmation email I received. Do you have an Order ID? I can send you the link. It should look like the below image.

So question for those who have preordered via ATT before. I've always used Apple and never had ATT as even a carrier. Throughout the whole process it said my phone is going to be delivered on the 19th. Then received 2 emails since saying they are preparing for shipping between 9/17-9/18 with delivery on 9/19.

My question is, do you guys think I'm in the clear or will I be one of those ATT horror stories where ATT emails me and changes the delivery date?
 
When doing a pre-order on AT&T's site I specifically remember reading that they would place a hold on the money with your credit card/bank until the phone ships and then it will go through.
Mine is listed as "pending" with my bank as it should.
They charge tax as many online stores are beginning to do as the state and gov are starting to crack down on online sales tax, if there is an AT&T store in your state technically they should still charge you tax online.

If you want to cancel a pre-order done on the AT&T site you have to call unfortunately

Yup. You've got it right. My CC didn't get processed due to a billing address error (didn't match my address with AT&T service) and I called back today and was given a November 9-27 est ship date. I initially had the early October date. Pretty disappointed but oh well. Ordered a second pair of phones through Apple today with my upgrade eligibility still working there (Order is "processing" with estimate ship date 3-4 weeks).

Pretty astonishing that AT&T would bump me like that as I ordered at 2:55am
5 minutes before the official launch. I must have had one of the first phones ordered at AT&T.

I really think its a BS date. I was charged the tax for the phone. How can you charge so early for a phone shipping two months later. I hope the people who were charged for the tax will receive their phone next week or at least ship soon. If AT&T holds 51 dollars on my account for this long, I will never pre order again.
 
I really wouldn't trust the "status" on the AT&T site. One of my phones, the one that's supposed to be here on 9/19, still says "pending" but I already have a shipping tracking number and it's actually moved.

I had a hold for the tax etc, but it fell off today (24-36 hrs later)

First was the $1 hold, then the $72 which stayed on all day yesterday.
 
I'm sure I've been screwed on getting mine even though I ordered at 3am on the dot and it went through like the wind. No troubles at all.

Unfortunately I got an email yesterday saying there was a problem with my card (I have no idea why as that account has a crap ton of funds in it). Regardless I called and gave another card which worked. All that said I'm sure that's bumped me back and I have no idea where I stand other than being in processing. Sucks because I had an estimated delivery of the 19th, wasted my time getting up at 2:50am, etc etc. I don't care if I get the phone right away but I will care if I get bumped back a month only in that canceling an order and getting my upgrade status back can be a HUGE pain.

Such is life lol!

If you ordered the iPhone 6 you should be okay. Its the iPhone 6 Pluses that are shipping late. Its like last year when the Gold iPhone came out. Once again, Apple probably didn't manufacture enough models. This is really annoying. I'm sure a lot of people will say "If you don't like it, go to Android" or something crazy like that but Apple is a great company, why not make a ton of models ahead of time? Is this some sort of marketing strategy to always sell out in a few hours? I know tons of people want the device, but jeez I really feel bad for the people who ordered before midnight (11:45PM PST for example).
