AT&T Pre-order status

Shipping Date Change

During my entire order process there was a little icon of a truck and the tag line "Your Apple iPhone 6 will arrive on September 19th"

During checkout, the same icon appeared, but the tagline changed to include the model of the phone I had ordered.

Now when I look at the order status i see:

Apple iPhone 6 Plus - 128GB Preparing to Ship We're preparing to ship your item, and it will be sent to you on or between the shipping dates we've provided. 10/02/14 - 10/13/14* 1

I ordered the phone the minute the ATT site let me in, and received my confirmation that my order was place @2:03 AM (CDT).

Tried calling AT&T about the delivery date change. I got the automatic response of "our call volume is very high right now, due to this we cannot take your call, goodbye."

Same delivery date here. Spoke with AT&T via chat on their web site after trying many times, they were useless/worthless. Basically said that is the new ship date due to it being backordered blah blah.

Yep AT&T screw up, if you don't complain to them nothing will happen so might as well try to complain like I did.

Well, if it makes anyone feel better. I've had this same thing happen the last 2 years when placing orders with AT&T. Currently I have a ship date of 9/23-10/2. The dates will change and move from ship date ranges to actual ship dates as their databases update. I think, at least if you got the 6 and not the 6+, anyone who ordered on launch day will get their phone fedex on the 19th.

I think AT&T does this to under-sell and over deliver their customers expectations. Imagine how ******* you would all be if the inital e-mail said "Will deliver on the 19th" and they ended up delivering first week of October?
 
I've had two preorders cancelled, trying to preorder an iPhone 6 (silver, 64GB) on a "no-contract", full-price option. I went to a reseller AT&T store today, who told me to go to the AT&T Corporate Store, and when I got there they told me that I "couldn't" preorder it with no contract, that I had to try to buy it on day one in-store if I wanted to do that.

Might just call AT&T and/or Apple to see if this will even actually be an option.

You do realize they won't be losing anything cause many like me cancel AT&T orders and order them through apple but phone is still tied to AT&T. So they won't be losing anything unless your switching carriers and I for one won't be going anywhere because AT&T works great where I live.
 
I placed 2 orders at 3:03am est... iPhone 6 64gb Space Grey & Silver... Checking my order status today, they both show pending shipment on the 17th or 18th for delivery on the 19th.

Looks like the majority of the order issues getting pushed back revolve around the 6 Plus... which makes complete sense because Apple had a large backorder by mid morning yesterday. It's exactly like the 5s, all AT&T stores on launch day last year had ZERO gold and silver phones... Apple was the only place to get them, and they only had a few on hand at stores launch morning... If you want a Plus, you will unfortunately have to wait it out, or play the goto the apple store every morning game.. which sucks.

you would have been better off purchasing it through the Next program and then paying it off in full.. which is the same thing.
 
Had a horrible time with order with AT&T seems they missplaced orders from 3am-9am Friday is why the ones who ordered early now have new ship dates. Luckily Apple still had some in stock for preorder so I told ATT to cancel my orders and went that route. I will NEVER preorder with ATT again.

For one of my 3 phones I received an email from UPS (via UPSChoice) that a package is due to be delivered on 9/19. I'm assuming its for the iPhone 6 4.7 gold ordered at 12:40am. If I look on the AT&T order status page its says its still in "preorder processing" UPS tracking shows it in Hodgkins, IL, US. Further proof that the order statuses and updates are inaccurate right now.

AT&T Free Msg: Congratulations! Your order has been processed. You will be notified when your order has shipped. <Replies are not monitored>

When I check my order it says preparing to ship, but it says ship date 10/31 - 11/11. This is crazy!
 
This is just BS. I ordered between 1210am pacific time/310am eastern time and 1220am/320am on att.com
Originally it said ships between 14-21 days business.

Now I check order status and it says will 10/31-11/11 shipping. That's closer to 30-40 business days.

iPhone 6 plus 64gb gold.

What even more BS is I ordered 64gb iPhone 6 plus at 345am eastern time/1245am pacific time from ipad apple store app for my wife and hers will deliver by September 19th.

please don't tell me it was in gold for your wife. That's gonna make me sad because I ordered the same phone from ATT and my shipping date is yours. And I ordered at 12:00 AM. if only I had waited an extra 45 minutes for Apple
 
On the AT&T chat right now asking why my card got charged for the phone a month before it is supposed to ship. Man, they are WORTHLESS.

I wanted to order that exact same spec phone for my wife on the Apple Store. At around 12:30am PDT the Apple Store app said it was unavailable, so I spent 20 minutes ordering it on the AT&T website with est. shipping date 10/13 - 10/22.
In the morning I find out the 6+ is available again on the Apple Store app with 3-4 weeks shipping estimate.
I would have rather ordered it direct from Apple but I am loathed to cancel with AT&T and wait for my upgrade eligibility to reset.
 
I pre-ordered a 6 plus 64Gb Space Gray @ 4:50 AM EST through ATT, got the order has been shipped to warehouse texts everyone else got with a delivery estimate of Oct. 13-22 however the status is "Preparing to ship" (maybe to warehouse and not me)?

Anyone else with a plus actually see an estimate of Sep 19 that ordered around same time?
The store had a sept 19 eta when I ordered, however it was right before the shipping dates got pushed back. I'm still hoping it gets here sooner :)

On people asking about card charges, it says when you order they will place a hold on the amount of the order with your bank until the phone ships. I believe a lot of people were just in a hurry and did not read all the infos

- No delay indicated (which would make sense for time of order).
- Email from AT&T (delayed):

It'll probably deliver on launch day

Back when I pre-ordered the iPhone 5 at an AT&T store, the associate said it would be 14-21 days, which I thought was weird since I was one of the first people in the store to pre-order. I complained saying that "I might as well have waited on launch day than to pre-order!" Lo and behold, the AT&T store contacted me on launch day and told me my phone was ready for pick-up.

So I'm thinking the same thing is going on this year, just sit back and wait! :D

No it was for silver for my wife. Honestly. Any color 64gb was available with ipad apple store app at 1245am pacific/345am eastern time.
