Here's the latest on my Friday confirmed delivery for my 4.7" 64GB space grey  It's interesting to watch how they are staging these phones for delivery. It's been scanned in since the 15th, and is said to be "next day air" but is just shifting around from TN and KY for the last few days getting ready for delivery tomorrow to NC. Anyone else with their phones coming from Memphis showing theirs in KY now? :apple:

I ordered a iPhone 6 plus 128 grey 25 minutes before launch and received the confirmation email by 20 minutes prior to launch.... this morning I got the "we are still planning on shipping your order 10/2-10/13' email......Here is what frustrates me, if your inventory is so restricted that you can't meet the orders of people who place their orders 20 minutes before actual launch... then you should probably not waste everyone's time, keeping them up until 4am.

Backordered

I ordered a 128gb 6 SG at 9:08 am CST and never got a tracking number. Fedex insight and UPS my choice showed nothing, but that seemed normal. I just called 877-782-8870 and it said it was backordered even though my status says preparing to ship 9/17-9/18.

This alarms me because others have ordered the exact same phone AFTER me and have tracking info. Most everyone that has called the number has gotten a tracking number.

Hey everyone.

Ordered my IP 6 64gb Space Gray on 9/12 around 8:30 PM EST. When I ordered it, it said shipping Oct 13-31. Which was whatever. Got a text saying order was processed and sent to warehouse for shipping on 9/13. on 9/14 it said backordered online for a few h ours, then back to t he Oct 13-31. I checked it over and over.

Checked this morning and it said shipped with a scheduled delivery of 9/19! However it is shipping to my parents house since I'm in school, so I won't get it until my dad visits on the 21....but I'm still getting it! I guess there is hope for those who ordered with a preorder

What?? Has your card been charged?? I ordered 9/12 at 8AM EST. No tracking.. All it says preparing to ship with a date of 10/13-10/22 wtf...

Mine says backordered too. Anyone who called that had backordered, yet got a tracking number?

Don't worry... You're in the same boat as a lot of us are. Same exact situation, every detail.

I got an amazing CSR this evening from AT&T who spent about 25 minutes with me answering all of my crazy questions. Like many of you I woke up last Friday morning at 3 am to order. I did not want to order from AT&T but could not get through to apple at all. I placed three orders back to back cause I could not do them all together. They were submitted at 3:56, 3:57 and 3:58 EST. I did not receive confirmation emails until 5:30, 7:30 and 9:30 EST.

When I spoke to the CSR she explained to me that orders are filled based on when they are processed and not when they were ordered. My two iPhone 6+ phones were the ones ordered at 3:57 am and 3:58 am however, they did not process until 11:50 and 11:55 am EST. It took 8 hours to process my order. I asked her how this was fair that people that ordered at 5 or 6 am are getting through because their orders were processed faster when there was not a bottleneck of people trying to order the phones.

She also explained that the order could not be cancelled because it is preparing to ship. That is why the Cancel Button disappeared last night for a lot of us. It was not that it was shipping rather it was that the phone was preparing to ship. I asked her why an order would sit preparing for order for weeks and she stated that they could ship at anytime and that once the orders reach preparing for shipping they can not be cancelled. That shot my plans of going to Apple Friday morning to attempt to get a phone right in the foot.

While these were not the answers that I wanted it did make sense to me. I will say this. I only went the Next route to update to the new iPhone each year when it came out. Therefore, once all this gets settled, I will be contacting whoever I need to in order to make sure that I can upgrade to the new iPhone in Fall of 2015 even if my NEXT term is not up.

I am still hoping for a last minute surprise shipment that will allow the phone to be delivered by Friday, but I am going to wait it out and see what happens. At least my wife's 6 will be here on Friday. It will allow me to set it up for her. I will also never order from ATT again and may very well switch carriers, if not this year definitely in the Fall.

Here is hoping that my phones are on the flights from Alaska, but if not they will be here within a few weeks. That I can deal with. I hope this may hep clarify any confusion that is out there about how orders are being filled. I think it is such BS that it is based on processed time and not ordered time, but what can you do?

If that were true then people who ordered two phones should have both shipped around the same time. My wife's IP6 had a tracking # yesterday, unlike my order of IP6+. May be that it is just that there is less of IP6+ or they are opening the boxes later, but either way nothing has changed for me since Sunday.

Did you go through premiere? A rep told me when I called that it can't access the tracking numbers from premiere orders...I have been getting backorder as well all week.

I had hope until this morning and still have no tracking info...my 64g SG 6 has been stuck at 10/13 to 10/31 since I ordered without budging. Now
I'm sad...

I would be very suspect of anything the AT&T reps say now. On live chat I've gotten 3 to 4 to 5 different answers about how things work. They simply don't know what's going on over there. And you can cancel your order with AT&T by refusing shipment. So if you still want to go out and get one tomorrow - you can… And then just refuse shipment the day your AT&T one comes. They'll have to give you a refund.

Well yesterday evening I was very surprised to find out my AT&T iPhone 6 order updated to a delivery date of 9/19/14. It was supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks. I ordered my iPhone on the 16th on the AT&T website. So there was quite a lot of time since preorders went live when I ordered. Anyway, I'm very happy to get my iPhone 6 on launch day! :)

My order is for a Gold iPhone 6 128GB. I'm tracking it right now :)

I wasn't expecting it to be here so early so now I have to hurry up and get a case and screen protectors. I wonder what screen protectors will work well with the new curved edges...
