From what I see, a lot of ip 6+ orders have their estimate shipping date on 10/2-10/21 (including me)...

It makes me scared that AT&T will push the shipping date further when 10/2 is coming.

I'm also worried about that. But... I'm more worried about going to AT&T and wasting my time from 4am till like 8 when they open just to be told hey we only have 6 iphone +... Considering there was 10 people in line at 6pm...
 
I've talked to multiple MGRS for AT&T... they can cancel it in store. Don't cancel it, go to the store and wait to see if they have one for you.

So i just went to the AT&T corporate store, not an authorized reseller and an employee said UPS trucks have been coming all day to their store and they have about 80 units of iPhone 6 ONLY and I am able to come in the morning, cancel my preorder and get the iPhone 6. I'm only doing this because i don't have a phone and i can sacrifice the huge screen size. The plus is a huge phone and i don't want buyers remorse with the huge screen. So problem solved! i'm excited. I'll be there around 5AM since it is on the lower end of town and everyone goes to the cleaner north stores.

I ordered immediately after 3AM EDT, credit card charged at 3:05, confirmation at 3:06AM. My iPhone has changed to shipped in the past 20 minutes.

128gb, iphone 6+, space grey!

I was pulling an all nighter anyway because this
is the busy season for me and I work 100 hours a week in August and September, so I also ordered a regular 6 for my sister, who didn't want to stay up. It shipped yesterday.

This is extra good for me because I'm traveling non-stop through the end of the year and coordinating where to ship the device to was a real problem.

Yup! That's what i was told. He said last time for their iPhone 5 launch they didn't exhaust their inventory until about 2PM (considering it's the lower end of town)and that i should be having an iPhone 6 by the morning!

Then why such early shipping dates and people already getting tracking numbers? I have seen people with tracking numbers that ordered theirs friday afternoon...and I ordered first thing and got diddly

Blows my mind that there are so few iPhones going around. I know apple likes to push it out a week following the announcement but I would have really liked to see them make the decision to push it back even a week just to build up supplies. :apple:
 
Don't hope if the status is not shipped. You are not going to get your phone tomorrow if it ins't shipped. People in here just try to comfort themself with hypothesis. Be patient and you will get your phone eventually. It is just a phone and you don't need an iphone to stay alive.

That's what I was thinking. Apple is a smart company, they should have known it was going to be a huge release and they knew how many phones they had. They should have waited till the end of September to release it..

My support saga

This is what I emailed to ATT support today, I also cc'ed the CEO

"Just wanted to inform you of the absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had with any company.

Where to begin...
I woke up at 3:00am est friday the 12th to preorder my new iPhone 6 for me and my wife.
Ordered Phone 1 first then Phone 2.
Got email confirmations later that day that phone 2 was processed successfully and phone 1 (which was ordered first) was declined (don't know why).
Called 866.499.8008 used the automated system to retry the card said it was processing. Late into Saturday it was still processing so I called the same number back, they are closed weekends (of course). So I called the main ATT support to get no where and be told call the 866 number back monday.
Called 866 monday waited on hold for 1.5 hrs finally spoke with someone that said he would push the order through and it would be fine. I wanted to be sure that my order shipped on time as if I had ordered it on the 12 so it arrived the 19th along with my other one. He told me emphatically NO phones are arriving the 19th they ship on the 19th and the shipping windows that were quoted at 3:00am est on the 12th were 10/14-10/21. He obviously had no idea what he was talking about.
Tuesday order had still not processed. Called 866 again went through automated card update again. Waited on hold for only an hour this time to speak to someone. He at least took down my card info and ran it. It showed up on my debit card while I was on the phone so good news. I verified with him that this was an update to the previous order not a new order and that I would get the early shipping time since I ordered it first thing. He confirmed.
Log in to my orders on att.com and it is a new order placed on the 16th not shipping till 10/21-11/4 more than a month late.
Talked to someone on live chat wed morning to see about getting it bumped up but he was no help and told me to call in. No way I was spending more hours on the phone; so tired of arguing I was willing to let it slide.
Balancing the checkbook wed night and the charge for the phone from the new order created on the 16th had disappeared. Called 866 (yet again) to hear the automated voice saying it was pended due to a problem with the card. I'm furious at this point.
Called 866 (yes...again) on hold for another hour (again) to talk to someone that spoke almost no english and congratulated my for having the "correct" name. She was unable to process my order and created a ticket for a supervisor to call me back, supposedly...still waiting for that call.

Meanwhile the fist phone I ordered still is in nowhere land and the second phone I ordered will be here tomorrow.

It's completely ridiculous that it is THIS hard for you to take my money. All I want is to be charged for the phone and get it ASAP (not a month from now)."

Was called by a "service" rep later that said she would try and get it expedited but that never happened. I will be canceling my order for phone 1 tomorrow and placing it through another source.
 
Anyone get a 10/13-10/31 shipping date range, no shipping to warehouse text, and get a tracking number by any chance?

Told that if you are stuck in the 10/2 ship for a plus, date thats the date, will not be shipped sooner you will not receive an earlier shipping notice. You can cancel and take your chances in line tomorrow for a miracle left over device, will be difficult to cancel your preorder in store. So be patient in 2 weeks u will have your miracle device. I ordered a 64 GB silver 3:05 shipping date 3/2...
 
Quick AT&T question. If you just came off your 2 year contract with AT&T and upgraded using AT&T next for the iphone 6, do you qualify for the $100 bill credit deal going on right now?

Try this one...ordered my wife's gold 6+ phone first, clicked check out and it went through and I received the confirmation. I then went to order my phone, the system had a hick up before I could finish. I reloaded the page and ordered my silver 6+ phone, clicked checkout and received the second confirmation notice. Woke up the next morning and I had gotten two emails from AT&T, i was happy until I read that my wife's phone never went through and I had apparently ordered two silver phones, which i did not. AT&T customer service was useless, i have been hung up on 3 times, once after waiting for 50 minutes and was on hold for 1.5 hours, so I took a nap. Their customer service not only sucks due to the launch, but any other time. they are lucky where i live they provide the best coverage.:mad:

This has already been proven false. Plenty of people who were stuck on 10/2 received tracking today.

It is amazing that people are still calling CSRs hoping that there has been some impartation of knowledge and the reps now know something. They know nothing. It has actually been pretty sad in how wrong they are over and over.

Not directed at you but I swear some people call CSRs until they finally hear what they want and then they take that as gospel. Bizarre times we are living in.
