AT&T Pre-order status

It WILL work on the ATT network (if it's not SIM locked) but not on LTE bands.

ALL of Apple's phones are 5-band GSM, but they ship two models in the states. ONE is VZW/ATT/TMO and the other is Sprint.

The question is

1) can you buy it without contract or any other obligation from apple? (I think the answer is no).
2) Is it SIM-Locked? (I think the answer is yes).

Did the employee in at&t who helped u pre order
Tell u that u have to wait 25-30 days?? I ordered in store on the same day and same model as u and got the same date as u as well
 
No change on information online, but I just called in (877 number) and instead of hearing "Your phone is backordered" I heard "Your order is being processed."

I'm hoping for a Thursday Delivery!

All you need is $5000 and an eBay account.

When it's all a write-off and/or your employer pays for it... Money is much less of an object.

Plus, if he buys Applecare+ it's only a $79 fee to replace the thing.

If you got it with NEXT you should have been charged for the taxes on the phone. I pre-ordered 2 iPhones using NEXT and got two preauthorizations (one for each phone) and two $1 preauthorizations (have no idea why) all 4 have dropped from my account. My understanding is that you actually get charged once the phone ships, but I've also heard from people that have gotten tracking numbers and haven't been charged. It's all a mess... there is no real pattern to follow or look for, this whole process has been complete anarchy.

but I wonder how Applecare would take care of it? send you a replacement next year?!?!?!

I know that sometimes that hold a small amount back for these situations, but I can't see them doing that with so many pre-orders to fill.

Guaranteed they have some held back for this. When I got my 4S I had a same-day issue with it (would not recognize the SIM no matter what) and even though they had sold out of that carrier in every GB capacity, they had one for me.

Apple saves, I believe, 4% of inventory at all times to replace fault phones.

Same thing i have been crying over with every video i see...lol

sucks to have it so close but so far away, I HATE ATT lol
 
Sooo.. over the last few days this thread has kinda lost steam. Doesn't look like we have seen the "waves" of shipping notifications going out like we saw on Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully, this will change sometime soon.

I've been lurking on this thread for the past week. My situation is the same as many of you:

Ordered at 3:30 +/- am EST
Ordered iPhone 6 Plus
Space Gray
64gb

AT$T estimated shipping date 10/2-10/13

I hope we all get our phones soon!
 
My online status hasn't changed but when I call it has gone from back ordered to being processed. I hope this means it is getting close.
 
I posted this in the other AT&T thread, but FYI...

Just checked the 877 number my phone has been on "backorder" and today moved to "being processed." My wife's phone is still on "backorder."

However, it did still say that delivery date for my phone was still 10/2 to 10/13.

My phone: 64GB SG 6+, wife's phone 64GB Gold 6+.
Ordered about 1:10 MDT, my confirmation was time stamped 8:36 UTC, her's is about 2 hours later even though she completed her order as soon as mine completed.

Still no UPS or Fed Ex activity, but hey, any movement is welcome.

If you moved to "being processed" I would assume that it is in a warehouse in the US. I don't think being on a plane from China would result in any movement. But this is AT&T, so who really knows.

I think our phones are on one of these planes and that is why it has gone from back ordered to processing. Mine is also a 6+ 64gb sg 10/2-13. Tomorrow is our day boyz.
 
called the 877 number and still on backordered with ship dates 10/2-13 on-line.
64+ grey ... I need a chocolate. :)

The AT&T Executive Office called me today and we got nowhere. What I learned from speaking with Louie, of the Executive Team, is as follows:

  • First come, first serve does not apply to the iPhone 6+, only the iPhone 6 regardless of what the email said
  • Despite the above, phones are still being processed first come, first serve
  • Not a chance anybody who ordered before me, 3:10 am EDT, has received their phone before me
  • AT&T's systems do not show the time my order was processed, only the date. This, despite a Premier rep telling me my order processed at 9:09AM EDT on 9/12.
  • The Executive Team has had no other complaints about orders shipping out of order. My complaint was a surprise to them.

Given this phone call and our discussion, I can only assume the customer service issues which plague AT&T are not only with the CSRs - they extend all the way to the Executive Offices.

My guess is "executive team" is nothing more than near minimum wage US workers with no real knowledge or authority vs. someone from India with no real knowledge or authority.
