I posted this in the other AT&T thread, but FYI...

Just checked the 877 number my phone has been on "backorder" and today moved to "being processed." My wife's phone is still on "backorder."

However, it did still say that delivery date for my phone was still 10/2 to 10/13.

My phone: 64GB SG 6+, wife's phone 64GB Gold 6+.
Ordered about 1:10 MDT, my confirmation was time stamped 8:36 UTC, her's is about 2 hours later even though she completed her order as soon as mine completed.

Still no UPS or Fed Ex activity, but hey, any movement is welcome.

I just called this number now and have a similar situation. I have been told repeatedly mine was on backorder but now it says it is being processed. But, like you, my shipping dates are still 10/2 to 10/13. Small movement but hopeful it means we may see a phone soon.

Ordered 6+ SG 64 GB at 2:05 CDT. Confirmation came in a few hours, prob because I was premier and going with NEXT upgrade.
 
I did the @ATTcustomer care on Twitter last night. Got an immediate tweet. Later got a call from someone really nice and basically said the pre-rehearsed speech. I was nice to him as I know it's not his fault. One interesting thing he told me that I have yet to hear since I've been on this thread (since day 2)...he said "your package will be coming by DHL"

I asked him to please repeat that and he indeed said DHL.

Go figure. I think the only carrier we haven't heard yet has been the Loomis Fargo peeps.

It could happen....I guess....if you believe them. Le sigh...
 
So I called the 877 number a couple days ago and it said back ordered. I called a few minutes ago and it says my order is being processed. How long does it typically take to go from "being processed" to "shipped"?

Ordered a 6+ 128gb SG at 3:02am EST with confirmation email received at 5:58am.
 
Just received email stating my two iPhone 6 16g space gray phones have been shipped and will arrive tomorrow via FedEx! I pre-ordered my phones on Sep 13 via AT&T website. Estimated ship date originally stated 10/13-10/31.

I did make a couple calls to AT&T customer service to update my plan and was given outstanding service. I could have updated my plan via the website but wanted to make sure I was receiving my discount due to being a military veteran!

I must say it has been a great experience with AT&T...no complaints...
 
New Shipping Info from AT&T

Hello, all:

For those of you like my wife and I who are "caught" in the "10/2 - 10/13" shipping date range regarding a 6+ (ours on order is 128 SG), I've found out some interesting information.

While we had always assumed that the first email that we received on our orders was, in fact, the actual *time stamp* that AT&T has in their system (and, hence, our waiting spot in line), this is not actually technically correct.

We had emails from orders allegedly placed at 2:55am and 2:59am ET on 9/12/2014. However, the gentleman with whom I spoke at the 877-782-8870 line stated that AT&T *unofficially* (I'll explain) began taking orders at 2:48am ET on 9/12/2014.

Unfortunately for us, this was a glitch in their system. Those of us who ordered prior to the 3:01am ET window were essentially put into a "secondary" queue of orders, which was subsequently put into the "primary" queue of orders that *officially* began at 3:01am ET.

Further, the guy stated that 6+ models were sold out at AT&T *within 4 minutes* of 3:01am ET.

He also went on to say that those who actually had time stamps of around the first several minutes (I forget the actual time frame said) actually had their orders fulfilled by launch day.

Then, there was another set of orders that were (are) fulfilled in the "second wave," which is currently occurring this week.

Allegedly, the "third wave" of orders (in which he said that mine are placed) is expected to be fulfilled sometime during next week.

I profusely thanked him for this information and expressed bewilderment as to why this information was not more fully shared with other CSRs.

Why do I trust this information? To me, all of the evidence on this forum as well as AT&T's own forum appears to parallel what this gentleman spoke of, and really makes sense for why the system really is first-come, first-served, *but only if you waited until 3:01am ET* to actually make your order. Else, your order (our orders) had been appended in some way to the "primary queue" of orders. Also, the recent posting by someone else in this thread with info from the "uppers" at AT&T further confirms what was going on.

I hope this helps explain what was going on. It does for me. Obviously, the proof is in the proverbial pudding, and we'll see if the shipping coincides with this info.

Been lurking on the ATT threads now since launch, and, like many of you, am stuck in the SG 64 + "10/2-10/13' shipping limbo. No movement or communication since my dates were bumped up early last week. I ordered at 3:26 EST, and got an email confirmation at 7:44am EST that morning. Text confirmations started coming in at 8pm that night, and continued into the next morning (3 in total...I only ordered one phone).

I decided to vent my frustrations on @ATTBusiness and @ATTPremier on Twitter yesterday morning about the bungled launch, and lo-and-behold, I got a call yesterday evening from the Office of Executive Management regarding my complaints. The woman I spoke to was simply lovely - I treated her with respect and made sure that she knew I was not blaming here, and she was very warm and forthcoming about things that I want to pass along to you:

1. ATT is fully aware that they screwed this launch up, and there is an ongoing internal investigation as to what went wrong and how to prevent such a thing in the future. They have been OVERRUN with complaints in the past 4 days, literally drowning in them.

2. As I suspected, based on a pattern I saw, the time that you ordered does NOT matter whatsoever. Your first confirmation email that says your order was processed is the 'first come, first served' basis for when your order got in. I pointed out how this was completely unsatisfactory, and she agreed, saying that ATT management thought so, too. What they will do about it in the long run is anyone's guess.

3. I made a point to explain to her that the $40 'upgrade' fee that appeared on my latest bill was nearly criminal, as I neither have the phone nor have I been upgraded. She agreed, and it was removed.

4. I thanked her profusely for her time, and ended by saying that I would be remiss if I didn't ask her what AT&T was prepared to do to make this better for me, as a long time customer. She waivered for a second, saying that they weren't really authorized to give any adjustments in situations like this (except my activation fee), but she felt truly bad about my situation, and had $100 credit put on my bill. Takes a little sting out of this whole thing for me.

In summary, damn, this whole situation sucks. However, I encourage you to use any means at your disposal to express your displeasure with AT&T (respectfully, mind you) and get credit on your account. You deserve it, and you just need to tell them that.



I found out today, that the reason my iPhone 6+ S/G 64gb hasn't shipped yet was because they needed to verify my shipping address. Shipping is different from billing. I spoke to 3 different reps and they all said that my order was fine and nothing was needed. BUT THEY NEEDED TO VERIFY THE SHIPPING ADDRESS. Ugh. :( They were suppose to call/text/email me to verify it, but the CSR said they dropped the ball.

My iPhone 6+ SG 16 GB has just shipped. It is about time. I ordered at 11:43 PM PST before official launch.

I live in Seattle so hopefully there's hope for more pacific northwest people.

There hasn't been much movement today as far as folks getting email notifications...that we know of. So it's great to hear there is some success out there.
The rest of us must wait...on a good note, it teaches us patience. (If you couldn't tell the glass-is-half-full from where I'm sitting) Happy thoughts, happy thoughts.

Most of us will agree that what we are most upset about is the order that these phones are being fulfilled, some are getting skipped despite being first in line. All of us knew the expected shipment date when we ordered and we also knew that if people waited in line on launch day they could potentially get their hands on an iPhone before us. (If you didn't know this I'm sorry I spoiled the surprise)

So like everyone else, I'll continue to stalk this thread wondering when my iPhone 6+ SG 64gig will ever see the footstep of my door.
Ordered 3:30am, confirmation email 4:something AM. No charge on my credit card yet. 10/2-10/13 expected ship date.

On a good note, I did order my Apple leather case, navy of course from At&t. I used the AT&T buy back program with the additional $100 promotial program, and got a total of $200 for my wife's white 4s 64 gig. That's the money I used to pay for the case...which was way too expensive IMO. I've got to order the lifeproof case for the misses for her regular iPhone 6 but it's not available yet.

Yes, I called. The first ones were not helpful and they just got me off the phone by telling me it was ok.

You are correct. And I'm hearing from some people that if you did Next they don't charge your card, they add it to your bill. I did next, but I don't see a charge yet. But as I said it's only a rumor.

According to att taxes are due right away. So that will be charged. I have a pending charge on my debit card of $57.00.
 
YESSSSS!!! Just logged in and checked on the att website and my status changed to shipped!!!!!! haven't gotten tracking but it now says fedex and ship date of 9/23
