Is it sad that I get happy when someone posts their phone is about to ship? Probably just because that means mine has to be closer... Right, AT&T? Ha No.
 
It's shipping! I posted earlier that today I went from backordered to processing and I just got a notice from Fed Ex!

64 GB SG 6+. Ordered at 1:10 MDT, Contract had UTC 8:36. I'm premiere. Wife ordered immediately after 64 GB Gold 6+. Her status changed after mine today, but haven't had shipping notice for her yet. But I'm hoping hers comes tomorrow as well.

Phone is arriving tomorrow. I know how frustrated you all are, but there is hope. Hang in there, there are bound to be many more heading out soon.

So did we. My ETR is as late as 27 November. I would gladly switch the color, were I able. Will work the phones tomorrow - especially as my wife's (white 64gig Plus) arrived on the day they went on sale generally, and my son's (space grey 128gig) came in today.

By November I will be an Android fanboy.
 
AT&T is giving people who want to cancel their iPhone orders the runaround. My mom cancelled yesterday because she wants the space grey model (she originally ordered silver). It was fine. She cancelled and got the upgrade eligibility back to her account before she was off the phone.

I called today to cancel because I don't want to deal with anymore of their BS. I also want to change from 16GB to 64GB. Guess what I got? More BS.

I was hung up on the first time I called and tried to cancel. I was very nice and asked cordially to please cancel my order. The person who hung up on me told me I can cancel. I gave him my order number, and he hung up on me. The second person said absolutely I can cancel your account. Please give me your order number. I do that. Despite my order status being THE EXACT SAME ONE AS MY MOM's, I was all of a sudden not allowed to cancel. I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was refused cancellation and they would not allow me to immediately cancel. They would only allow me to cancel by manual cancellation which takes 24-72 hours to cancel. I admit my temper got the better of me at this point and I told him it was a bunch of BS (after several requests to cancel my order without BS) and hung up.

I called back. Got someone who said that whoever I talked to was wrong and that I could cancel just fine. He put through my cancellation and I very nicely asked for a confirmation #. He would not give me a confirmation # and instead said that the confirmation # is my order #. Fair enough. I got the confirmation email that my order has been cancelled. But, the status has not been updated on the order page and I am unable to go through Apple.com to purchase. I am furious at this point.

I call back and get someone that said that they only put through some of my cancellation and didn't finish it all. They give me more BS. This makes me more furious. I am keeping my cool at least throughout the subsequent whole thing.

Just a warning: If you want to call in to AT&T and cancel your order be aware that they will likely screw you over and lie to you just to appease you. Be vigilant and detailed when you speak to them, and make sure that they are doing everything you have asked for. Even then, you aren't seeing what they are doing on their screen, unfortunately, so you cannot be sure they are even doing what you ask. Call back and verify, verify, verify.

I wouldn't put it past AT&T to pose as "satisfied" customers on this very forum saying how much they love their new iPhones.
 
for those of you whose statuses changed from backordered to processing via the 877 number keep refreshing!!!!! that was the case for me and low and behold i get mine tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! hang in there!!! too bad att won't give me a free case for the hassle. every single one of us who has had to wait like this should be offered something
 
I'd say the status pages...

The one off of wireless.att.com, and another via www.att.com/order_status/order_status.jsp

one says preparing to ship and the other says processing...why don't they say the same thing, maybe that would clear up a lot of our confusion. Or better yet, actually getting a straight answer from the CSR, I think being a loyal customer for 12 years one would deserve as much

Received my 64GB Silver Iphone 6+ yesterday. Checked my 16GB Gold Iphone 6+ and it now says Preorder Processing Expected Ship Date: Pending Confirmation. This happened with my 64GB before it shipped. Completed both orders by 12:20 AM MST on 9/12

Update
Just checked AT&T website instead of premier and it has shipped. Will be here tomorrow. :)

My order says "processing" on the 877 number when I called just now, but I'm not holding my breath. I ordered mine on 9/19 around 4PM, 64GB 6+ Gold. Website status is "preparing to ship".

I never called beforehand so I don't know if it ever said "backordered".
 
This thread is cracking me up. I was on here last year for the 5s and it was the same thing... I got some crazy estimated shipping date and everyone was pissed. Ended up getting my phone two weeks after I ordered.

That said, I just ordered a couple of 6 (64gb) gold and space gray phones. Estimated 10/2 - 10/13 on the gold and 10/22 - 11/11 on the gray. Funny, Gold was the hot item last year but now it seems gray is making a comeback. Both are in the "preparing to ship" status. Ordered my phones using ATT Next.

Yep, been through this with the 5... same rage and entitlement, and everyone got their phones faster than the estimated dates. But it's still fun spam refreshing AT&T's site for that status change to SHIPPED!

Oh yeah, I've already clicked about 20 times and I ordered less than 5 hours ago. I KNOW the status won't change anytime soon but as you know, its a sickness that consumes us until the brown truck comes rolling up!

Speaking of... I wonder if my status has changed. I'm gonna go refresh real quick
 
So I called the 877 number and for some reason they cannot find my order... But my order pulls up on 3 different att sites. Any clues as to why this is?

I ordered my daughters iPhone 6 plus (64 gig gold) at about 2:20 am central time on launch night and she got hers in the mail today.... She is very happy needless to say!

FINALLLY IT SHIPPED.

Using the premier website it changed shipping time to "pending confirmation" but the www.att.com/order_status/ page showed the tracking #. Picked up at Dallas FW tonight at 9:14pm (CT) and will be delivered tomorrow by 3pm.

Extra tidbit, i live in Southern California. YAY FOR 16GB 6+ SG shipments finally going out!

As of two hours ago. But the fedex tracking numbers isn't activate.
 
The 866 number says processing and sent to warehouse for shipment but the other 877 number says backorder and the websites say preparing to ship. So I'm not sure which to believe xD but I'm going to be optimistic and want to believe the 866 number
