Hi there! I've been lurking for a few days (more like 2 weeks). I'll share my story quick. I ordered on 9/12 shortly after 3:00 AM EST. My confirmation email came later that morning, 8AM or so. Followed by 2 text messages at 8:50 PM and 10:50 AM. All signs pointed to 10/31-11/11, until Saturday (the 13th) and they changed to 10/13-10/22. I went on with my business for the remainder of the weekend, and checked my order status Subday around noon. I noticed it was moved up to 10/2-10/13. When I called the 877 number this past Tuesday, my status went from 'back ordered' to 'processing'. I received shipping ingot yesterday evening and am writing this from my iPhone 6+ 64 GB Gold. However, I am incredibly grateful for FedEx tracking! I was home this afternoon and saw the truck go by and then leave, they didn't come anywhere near my house, so naturally I panicked! I pulled up the tracking number and FedEx claimed that it was delivered to my door?!?!?! Needless to say I went from door-to-door searching for my phone! Seriously, FedEx...you nearly gave me a heart attack today!!

I talked to my UPS guy today and he said they ABSOLUTELY CANNOT LEAVE IT ANYWHERE. THEY WILL KEEP IT AND EITHER TRY AGAIN OR YOU CAN PICKUP AT LOCAL UPS WHAREHOUSE.
Think I just peed a little. 128 SG + just shipped. Hang in there guys

Ordered 64 SG + same as above. It's beeing shipped fedex. Got info from them at 7am

Everyone that's still waiting for a tracking number......When you do get it, can you let us all know what part of the country your in so that we can get a good idea what areas of receiving shipments??? I'm in Boston, ordered 323am on the 12th. 6 Plus 16/SG with a 10/2-10/13 shipping timeframe.
They didn't, I'm confused why. Someone said that if you use the NEXT upgrade they charge your account instead but I'm not sure if that's true. I ordered two phones, one regular 6 I was charged right away for taxes and received in Mail on 9/19. My 6+ is the phone I just received today...that's the one I haven't seen a charge for yet.
The 6 that you got, got charged right away because they knew it was definitely going to be shipped the 19th. NEXT installment does goto your bill, but it is strange you haven't been charged the taxes yet. I'm still awaiting my preorder with a 10/2-10/13 ship date. When I get charged the tax, that's when I'll know it's about to be shipped. Taxes need to be paid up front regardless of NEXT or not.

What's up dude, still frickin waitin huh?? This is ********. See people who ordered right after me at 330am or 345am still waiting is ok with me. But seeing people who ordered that morning or even days later already get there's??? Makes me wanna call ATT again and flip on someone.

That person got both the phones he ordered. I still have the money being held on my card as an authorization. When it ships, it'll be taken. Same thing with the i5. I HOPE LOL

Seems like a bunch of space gray shipped out today.
I could order a phone today and have the same estimated ship time that I have now even though I preordered. So frustrating. Hoping for some luck in the at&t lottery!! First come first serve luck to anyone who ordered before me!

Not sure about UPS but I know fedex does not. Left mine on the front porch today(6+) and did the same with my wives on launch day (6). Both shipped fedex.

It shipped tonight and I will have it tomorrow. Originally, and even earlier today, the shipping estimate was 10/10-10/21.
Four days from order to receipt. As much as AT&T has screwed me over in getting this done, they certainly exceeded expectations on this interaction.
Note that my order *never* said backordered, it was always "in process" or "Preparing to ship."

Found something interesting out today. Ever since I placed my order on 9/20/2014 I have a pending charge on my debit card for $57.00. I asked my debit card company how long these "pending purchases" stay on the card. They said it retailer specific. The rep checked my account and told me the funds will be released Sunday and that I should check with who I made my purchase from just to be sure the transaction went through ok. So I started an online chat with AT&T they said the transaction is fine and that I am in the clear. The AT&T rep. also said my iPhone is "expected to ship in October take that for what it's worth." lol So I wonder if my phone will ship this Sunday since that's when the pending purchase is suppose to go away. It sounds like AT&T holds the charge until the item actually ships, then they charge your card.

I've been lurking here too. This morning my order was changed from backordered to in process, then around 9:30 pm it changed to ship, and in another hour the order status showed UPS as the carrier with a tracking number. When I got the notice that it shipped I called the 877 number and they said they'd have shipper and tracking # in 3-5 days, which was kind of preposterous.
I'm a premier customer, and I ordered the 6+ 128gb SG on 9/12 at around 5:30 AM. First was 10/11-10/29, then moved to 10/2-10/13, so maybe it seems like the people moved to the 10/2 window really are getting their phones delivered very soon.

It's not easy to forecast demand for new category of product. I lived thru a painful product ramp before where the forecast was off by factor of 10.
There are always issues that would delay ramp of new product plus some mis-forecast of device. But return rate of 6+ also have been much higher that is why a lot of 6+ date are being moved up except Gold.
With China launch, gold will be harder to get as that is color of choice for chinese. I am not surprised that gold 6+ has been hard to find.
I am just happy that I got lucky when AT&T opened queue early. Apple also came thru for me too. I am glad I am not with the fruit company anymore because we wouldn't be allowed to order the new device.
after many disappointing days waiting for my 6+ and many calls to customer support with no positive results, I ended by cancel my iPhone 6+ , went to apple store , waited for 1 hour and got new none bendable iPhone 6 SG , the phone is very sold and its easy to hold and type with one hand as in iPhone 5 , may be in year or two when Apple fix the bending and wireless issue i will move to the plus. thanks to everybody and good luck guys.
It depends on what the shipper (At&t) pays for. It cost the shipper more for sig required. Just leave the driver a signed note if u want it left on porch.

Fedex just leaves it on your front porch. UPS you have to sign for it
I got on the ups website and changed the delivery to hold it at the ups facility which is relatively close to my house. Feel much better about that option.
