I ordered on 9/20 and my order is still on back order with an estimated ship date of 10/29/14 - 11/07/14.


I ordered on the 13 and mine is on back-order for a delivery date of Nov 7 - 25. It would be awesome if it got moved but since this whole pre-order process seems like a real cluster, I am not banking on it lol
 
Ordered my 16gb silver 6 in store on 9/15. EST ship date 9/24-10/3, still on backorder. My current phone is pretty much unusable since I cracked the screen a couple weeks ago. Have a friend who ordered hers 4 days after and got it yesterday. Sigh.

I joined specifically to vent about how irritated about the situation I am in, just like everyone else here it seems.

I placed my order for two iPhone 6+ at 3:01 am on the 12th. One for me in Space Grey at 128 GB, and the other for my fiance in Gold also at 128 GB. Went to bed and everything seemed fine. We both had gotten the emails stating that we were looking at a 10/2-10/13 arrival. Now I am no stranger to launches and I totally could have lived with a week or so after the official date, but what has happened so far has just royally angered me.

The next day around 5pm I recieved and email that my order had been canceled due to not being eligible. Now, I should have stated that I was also doing early Next, and had to pay off $260 on both my line and hers. So I quickly resubmitted my ordered only to minutes later getting an email saying that I already had a submitted order. I called in, I know the 12th calling AT&T big mistake. I called on my lunch, I only get a half hour but it took 2 hours to get someone on the phone, when I did, I explained everything, the rep was super helpful. I also should mention I am a premier customer due to a discount from where my fiance works. This super nice rep fixed everything told me I had the same order date and info, and I was good to go. Also had him check on the other line and everything was fine.

So that evening on my way home from work, I get an email from AT&T saying that if I don't pay the past due balance on my account my orders will be canceled. First off, we've never been late, we always pay well before our due date. So I payed what balance was on there and called AT&T again to make sure everything was fine. I knew I was only talking to a regular AT&T rep as it was after 10 on a Friday night. I knew I was going to have to wait till Monday to call Premier again. Called Monday only to find out there were closed, I called all day, same recording to call again the next business day.

I called on Tuesday, talked to another Premier agent, she verified all my order info, and made sure that everything was fine with my orders. I get an email not 20 minutes later with new shipping dates. My fiances stayed the same but mine was now 11/9-11/27. I am very ticked off now. How did I get pushed back so far. I feel that the first come first served is a line of bull. I think someone really dropped the ball on the whole situation.

So, still waiting, I have tried the 877 number many times, funny thing is, it tells me for my line that I have two open orders now. No change in dates or anything. I did get a bill from AT&T today that says I owe and upgrade fee as well as losing the Mobile Share Value Plan discount on my line. I want to call and get it correct as that adds $65 to my bill, but I'm worried if I do that some how my order will end up being pushed back even farther. I've been tempted to cancel like a lot of people have said, and just get whatever I can find in the store, what worries my about that is I'd feel like I'm settling.

So, I vented a little, nice to have a place where others are in the same situation as I am.
 
Yes I did..I was in the 11/9-11/17. Did you order the plus?

Yes I ordered the 6+ 16GB Space Grey and also in the Premier group. I think it's awesome you are getting yours already.....


I am as excited as you will be once you get yours... I think the space greys are on the belts...they are focussing on the gold models now since they went....white, space, and now gold....Soon the world will be calm with all the +s in the air
 
So I went to cancel my preorder at the store and they told me that I'd have to wait for the phone to get to me and then send it back since it's 'In progress', which the screen showed. So I tell them if that means it's already being shipped to me then why would I want to cancel and return it. They confirm that in progress means that's it's on the way. So I tell them cool and leave. I call the 877 number and it still says it's on backorder. So I'm basically stuck in limbo with att while apple stores around Houston are starting to pop up with 128gb. LAST TIME I EVER PREORDER THROUGH AT&T
 
Update: I caller att after I left the store and the CSR Nancy canceled my preorder for me. Great lady and extremely helpful. I then ordered my 128gbbin silver from the apple store in Baybrook. YES!!!!!!! Going to pick it up tonight or tomorrow.
 
I refused to check in with the kind 877 Lady until right before heading to bed last night. Backorder. Nothing new.

This morning while coffee was brewing, checked the 877 Lady at 7:30AM MDT. Backorder has been changed to processing but the ship dates are the same as my previous info, 10/31-11/11. Having seen a number of comments of 24 hours to eight days in processing before shipping, I was not going to get hopes up.

I checked my email about 10AM and behold ..... a FedEx email (time-stamped at 9:41AM) notice of overnight shipment from Ft Worth TX. (Thanks to forum people suggesting signing up with FedEx Delivery Manager and UPS My Choice services). No email or texts from AT&T. I called the 877 Lady again and she said my phone was shipping and provided the tracking number, with shipment to arrive by 2:00AM on Oct 2. FedEx tracking says it will be here by 8:00PM Oct 1.

Using my phone number to check status at att.com/orderstatus still shows a cancelled order for the 16G but my order numbers (using either the 16269 or k004 order numbers) provides shipping notice along with FedEx tracking number. AT&T has one screwy system.

I placed order for: 2 - 6 64G SG and a 6+ 64G SG on Sept 12 about 10AM MDT thru AT&T website, under Next 18 installment plan.

Immediately received order confirmation emails for each of the three orders stating delivery of 2-6 64G phones in 21-35 business days and the 6+phone within 35-42 business days. The order process asked for credit card info because taxes were prepaid charges with the phone orders. The order form online and confirmation emails showed no additional charges though. I went online to check my credit card info and it was there, that I see how much I was charged for the taxes for each of the three iPhones.

I realized I messed up 6+ order and called in to get the order changed to proper specs. That call went in immediately after I hit the confirm button on web site. Order was changed by CS rep and I kept the original order number 162693###.

Later in the day I check ATT online account info and notice that the two 6's are processing for shipment and the 6+ is cancelled. I called in the check on the 6+ and was told that yes, the 6+ 16G phone I ordered by mistake was cancelled. I was told that the 64G 6+ order needed to be "released" for processing so the CS rep did that during our call. I was told that now the 64G 6+ was processing with the order having been released to "the Warehouse". I was told the 64G 6+ order should show up in the next day or so in the online order status site. All of this still under my original order number 162692....

After that CS call, I checked my online credit card info and see that I was charged $34 for something as it was a different amount than with my original order - $45 prepaid tax mistake. I had not discussed my credit card info or given that information when I talked with the CS rep.

If I used the order number when checking on my 6+ phone order, I did eventually discover that it was "processing" with a delivery time frame of 10/31-11/11. If I did the order status check online using my phone number, it would show my status as a cancelled 16G phone order and no information regarding the 6+ 64G.

The status on the two 6 64G SG phone changed to processing and preparing for shipment a couple days after placing the orders on 9/12. Those phones arrived on 9/19, with standard ATT service type emails being received when the phone shipped but nothing stating the phones were shipping. There was no tracking information sent with those emails either.

In the meantime, I discover the nice 877 Lady and start checking status of my 6+ phone. The 877 Lady tells me that I have "two active orders" attached to the primary order number. I am given choices to check each of these orders. The first order turns out to be the cancelled 16G 6+ and the second is the active order for the 64G SG 6+. The secondary order numbers are 9 digits and start with 714 for the cancelled phone and 715 for the 6+ 64G phone.

By Sept 19th, the pending tax prepayments for two 6 phones go through as charges on the card and the two pending prepayments ($45 and $34) for the 6+ drop off.

Since the $34 charge on my card was close to what the Next plan would be, I wanted to be sure that all the information was confirmed and correct regarding how the 6+ was suppose to process for payment of the phone. I had fears that ATT might try to charge me $850 when they prepared to ship out my phone.

I called CS and discover that when the phone order was changed from the 16G to 64G phone, the information as to how it would be paid for fell off the order. The CS rep tracked down the various fragments of information between order department, sales and customer care. The order department then had the Next 18 info attached to my 6+ phone order. I was then given the "master" order number for my phone order which started k004. That CS rep said that order number would allow people in the different departments to easily find my order in the system.

There have been no shipping or tracking notice emails or text messages received from ATT regarding deliveries of any of the three phones. I received a FedEx email notice of package enroute as a service provided by FedEx Delivery Manager for my 6+ phone. The ATT 877 782-8870 provided the most current and complete information regarding the phone orders. The website was hit and miss but did finally provide tracking numbers once phones were actually shipped.

It's been a wild ride. And, now, tomorrow, I will have my 6+ 64G SG phone in hand.

non stop lies over and over from CSR at att...

Then last night I find my local stores had my phone in stock..... Then this all started.


im not posting this because I think I'm better then ATT or that I deserve something or anything for that fact.

I am posting this to show everyone just how ATT feels about its customers. I really think that anyone who placed an order on pre order night deserves an explanation as to what happen...

Wait so you live in NC ordered it a day before me and its already shipped? Waaah. I live in NC too ordered it saturday around 1-2pm and its on backorder. I got the 64gb regular 6 in sg. And ny est ship dates are 10/27-11/14

Not only shipped, but I have it:) Honestly, I would expect it to come sooner. Mine was 4 days including a Sunday from time of purchase to arrival. If you bought yours a day after me I don't think you're getting yours at the estimated ship date either.
 
Well, last night my order status on the web changed from "backordered" to "preorder processing". 877 is still backordered, so not hoping for much movement on this.

Haha! After deciding to cancel my 6 plus and order a 6 last night, I just got notification that my 6 has shipped and will be here tomorrow.
 
I ordered two 64 gb iP6's in SG and I should be receiving them today. Sadly, I found out over the weekend that I get terrible AT&T service in my home. So, it looks like I'll be sticking with T-Mobile for now to make sure the Wi-Fi calling works well. If not, we're moving to Verizon. $$$ =(
 
I'm really hoping that the 6 plus supply is a little higher around Christmas.

I was just forced to cancel my 6 plus order and get a 6 instead because I was tired of waiting for the 6 plus.

I want to sell my 6 on eBay and buy a 6 plus in December as a Christmas present to myself.
 
This morning I saw there were some 6+'s available at a local Apple store. Talked with an AT&T rep to see if I could cancel my preorder, which I did. Went and got my phone reserved at the Apple Store. Sweet right? Went to AT&T store to double check everything, paid off my current Next plan (like $100 bucks left), and was assured everything would go okay back at the Apple store. Sit down at Apple with the phone right next to me and started actually buying the phone...it didn't work. Went back to AT&T and the manager took me with him to the Apple store to figure it out. Turns out Apple can only start a brand new Next plan off a contract and can't extend the current one (AT&T had no clue that was the case). Also was because cancelation was still pending...blah...blah..blah...

So, looks like I'll have to be going back every now and then to see if they have any in stock. He did tell me they get shipments of new phones everyday at noon.

The AT&T store manager did give me his card and said he'd get me a free case or credit my bill, so at least I have that going for me..

My husband got a similar estimated date as you did and I got the good October date for the same phone despite him placing the order for his first. We are (business) premier customers using NEXT, too. Borkage was strong for customers in our category. I'm amazed there are still so many preorders in purgatory.

I forgot to add his estimated date bounced forward and back but we did end up getting our phones the same day. His shipping notice did complete hours before mine. We got ours last Thursday.

Yeah I pre-ordered a 6 Plus 64GB space gray through ATT within mins of being live on the 12th and was a bit impatient as I cancelled my pre-order on the morning of the 20th, the day after launch. I tried my luck with apple stores and lo and behold I got lucky and was able to reserve the same model at the willowbrook apple store (i live in houston too) at 8 pm that night and able to pick up the next day. I at first paid the money i was charged to pick up in store (since the apple store does not allow pick up for NEXT orders) but I just went in this saturday and was able to have them reverse the contract to next and got all my money back. I feel for you man it sucks feeling in limbo but i suppose i just got lucky
 
On Saturday 27 September, I upgraded via "Next" to the Black 128 GB iPhone 6 Plus. They told me 2-3 (approx. Oct 11-18) weeks in the store. Before I left the store, I received/read the order confirmation email showing me Nov. 5-14.

Very cool! I ordered my 6+ 64GB SG two weeks before you and I'll get mine after you get yours. :D
 
So what is AT&T's return policy for phones ordered online. If I decide the Plus isn't for me, can I return it to a retail store? And is there a fee?
