Yeah I pre-ordered a 6 Plus 64GB space gray through ATT within mins of being live on the 12th and was a bit impatient as I cancelled my pre-order on the morning of the 20th, the day after launch. I tried my luck with apple stores and lo and behold I got lucky and was able to reserve the same model at the willowbrook apple store (i live in houston too) at 8 pm that night and able to pick up the next day. I at first paid the money i was charged to pick up in store (since the apple store does not allow pick up for NEXT orders) but I just went in this saturday and was able to have them reverse the contract to next and got all my money back. I feel for you man it sucks feeling in limbo but i suppose i just got lucky

It's all good. I got a CSR on the phone to cancel it and went and bought a silver 128gb at the Apple Store in Baybrook. Typing on it right now #. Love this phone.
 
Hello, i'm considering leaving T-Mobile for AT&T and I see that the iPhone 6 Plus that I want is in stock at my local Apple Store. My question is; Can I open a new account with Next at the Apple store, or is it only for existing customers?
 
Stuck in backorder STILL on the 877 number. I got my first email from AT&T at 12:45am PST on the 12th. Still says between 10/2 - 10/13. My order is SG 128GB 6+ which seems to be impossible to get. The local stores have silver and gold in 128gb 6+ for AT&T and Verizon. Also phone comes in ****** at my house so thinking about switching to verizon but I still have my sisters phone stuck on NEXT so I'd have to keep it or pay it off. If my phone doesn't ship by the 2nd I'm canceling and gonna pick up at the Apple store.

Do it. I order at 12am on 9/12 with ship date of 10/2. Canceled last night and was able to pick up at apple store 10 minutes later. #attfail
 
My iPhone 6 + has been in Louisville since Sunday at 6:33 am with no update - 3 days! Very frustrating.

Anyone in the same boat?
 
Here's my situation:

I ordered my iPhone 6 on 9/19 and received a shipping date of 9/30-10/9. It's still in processing, and haven't received a word about it yet. When I call the 877 number it says "we couldnt find info on your order.", but online and the website has the info and "prepared to ship" and "processing" statuses.

Anybody else's have this "problem" with the phone line? If it makes a difference I am a premier customer
 
Pre Order / Order Fiasco

I have been following forums up and down on the internet about this pre-order / order / fiasco with AT&T. Seems like people (Premier and Non-Premier) with orders back to the Pre-Order day are still with the Processing / Preparing to Ship / Backorder status. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, seems like no one would like to provide information about WHAT IS GOING ON at this "Order/Warehouse". Looks like there is no logic order to fullfill the iphones orders. You can find phones on some AT&T stores, Apple Stores, some people are receiving their phones, others don't. What have you done AT&T? This iphone 6 waiting list feels very arbitrary to me. :confused:
 
I know how you are feel. I Ordered mine on 9/12 at 7 am. I received confirmation email at 8:25 am. My shipping date was 10/31-11/7. I ordered 6+ SG 64GB.
It finally went to processing in 9/26 and I received on 9/29. A month before it was due. Just hang in there. I was constantly checking the 877 #. I was like a madman

So what is AT&T's return policy for phones ordered online. If I decide the Plus isn't for me, can I return it to a retail store? And is there a fee?


According to the att website, you can return an unopened apple iPhone to a corporate store or call att to setup return shipping with no restocking fee. I'm going to try to take my two back to the store today. We'll see what happens.

There's a re-stocking fee for iPhones. Talk to the manager, most of the time they'll waive it.

Same thing in NY. Ordered 6+ SG on 9/12 at 3:48am EST via AT&T after trying for 40 minutes to get in the Apple Online Store with nothing but their sign that they'll be right back.

Confirmation email says received at 4:13am stated that order was placed at 3:13am Central (4:13EST).
Status email received at 9:01am with 10/02-10/13 ship dates.
ZERO movement since then. Tried to cancel yesterday but customer service told me the cancelation will take up to 24 - 72 hours to reset my upgrade eligabllity. Didn't want to roll the dice, and of course CSR had no answers for any of the unanswered questions on this thread I've been reading for weeks.

They tried the "it's almost October 2nd, so you must be excited to get your phone in 2 days." Clearly I didn't have the right person on the phone as she read my estimated ship dates as in hand dates? Got a call 10 minutes later from someone at At&t, and couldn't hear what department he was in. I think he said retention as he wanted to know if there was anything they can do for me. I told him he could get their guarenteed first come first serve orders to actually take care of the pre-order customers who stayed up all night and are used to waiting on line or preordering for years now. I was nice and told him I couldn't imagine how difficult this was to manage but it's been 2.5 weeks and others who ordered hours, days, week(s) after me have received their phones. He didn't say anything to deny or deflect or even apologize. His response was, "Is there anything ELSE I could help you with?" I literally started to laugh.

So I checked this morning, again no movement on the 877 number or the website. Apple Stores in my area have stock today of other phones (more variety than I've seen). Called back AT&T, got a very nice CSR who had me stay on the phone and asked me to pull up my account as she did the cancel. She canceled the order and I opened my account, the upgrade eligability was reset. Thanked her, went back to Apple's site, and completed my pickup order for today - 6+ 128GB Silver.

I'm no fortune teller, but I would suggest that those who ordered 6+ 128GB in SG, give serious consideration to canceling after checking availability of other phones in their area. There is nothing to indicate that particular SKU is or isn't going to be available in any kind of significant quantities, between 10/2-10/14. So before the potential rush of angry people who are waiting on that SKU starts to effect the ability to cancel and get into a different colorway, I gave up and will be picking up my phone today at Apple.

Good luck to everyone here. This is a quality thread with good people trying to help each other out with intel. Nice to be following something where the hating isn't a deterrant to try and find out what's going on. Again, good luck to all of you still waiting.

Yopu have to call and cancel. The CR should be able to release your upgrade eligibility as soon as you cancel. I literally was ordering from apple while she was cancelling my order
 
I ordered two 64 gb iP6's in SG and I should be receiving them today. Sadly, I found out over the weekend that I get terrible AT&T service in my home. So, it looks like I'll be sticking with T-Mobile for now to make sure the Wi-Fi calling works well. If not, we're moving to Verizon. $$$ =(

Get a cell repeater for your home. I just did. 5 dot signal strength. Zero cost becuase ATT knows my area at home for cell coverage sucks. Just call them and complain - ask for the repeater. Delivered overnight free.

I been looking around since this thread first started. My situation is very similar to you guys. I ordered 2 128gb Gold 6+'s on 09/12 at 5:00am EST and got my confirmation emails at 9:00am and the texts the next day. My original shipping date was 7-14 business day. Then on the confirmation email it stated 11/11-11/27, a couple days later it went to 10/31-11/11 and has stayed there ever since. I tried going to the store and cancelling and they wouldn't allow me, tried calling and noone picked up the phone (we are premier customer's since we get a discount through my bf's work) , I been calling the 877 number and it says "backordered" and on both premier and att order status page, says "pre-order proscessing". I am in NY and it seems like noone is getting their 6+'s through att. The Verizon and Sprint"s customers that I know all got theirs already. I tried going through twitter and all I got was a DM from an @attcustomercare representative, that after two days of searching found my order, but said the shipping days were accurate. I have had the iphone since it first came out, it is the first time I pre-order through att and have such a horrible experience. :mad::mad:
I just became an att Next customer with our grandfathered in unlimited data, but I am wonderfing if it would be better just go somewhere else....

Thank you for keeping me company throughout all this ordeal. It was good to know I am not alone. Anyone in the NYC area having the same problem? :( :( :( :( :( :(
 
I ordered on the 13 and mine is on back-order for a delivery date of Nov 7 - 25. It would be awesome if it got moved but since this whole pre-order process seems like a real cluster, I am not banking on it lol

Huh that's interesting - I ordered a 6+ last night through ATT and website is showing 11/07/2014 To 11/18/2014 expected date.

well by the end of the day we all get screwed by ATT one way or another

I think ATT will probably delay my order and I'll probably cancel it.
 
I really wish there was someplace nearby me where I could conceivably pick up a 128GB Plus, but without an Apple store, it seems that my options are limited. Places like Target and Best Buy have very limited stock, as does the AT&T store. When we went to Best Buy looking for a phone for my wife, they said that they literally only had one 16GB iPhone 6 in Space Gray. She wanted white, but we decided we'd get it. But when they actually looked, it turned out that they had already sold even that one. So chances of getting a Plus in the configuration I need seem very slim.

I actually thought about taking a road trip to a Chicago suburb, since it looked like there were some available at Apple Stores in the area, but that seems a little extreme. It's a 2-3 hour drive.

Truth -- I think the supply will eventually catch up with demand - I am just hoping that time comes by mid-late October instead of Thanksgiving.

northwest suburb apple stores have some supply of 6+ when i checked. the one on michigan ave has some supplies as well

They can try to charge me a restocking fee all they want, but when their website says otherwise, I'm going to put up a fight.
