iPhone 6 (not +) 64GB Silver

Ordered in store 9/26. "Preparing to ship" status on the website. 10/16-27 ship date.

Any ideas of when I'll actually see it?

Ordered the iPhone 6 16GB in Silver in stores yesterday (9/30). The rep told me it'll be back ordered for 2-3 weeks and my est. ship dates are 10/20/14 - 10/29/14. Kind weird though cause online AT&T says 7-14 days so I don't know what to believe.

I just hope it'll come in before the est. ship dates :) (being a bit too optimistic here)

There's no apparent logic to their shipping. I'm 10/2-13 ship date and placed my order minutes after the preordering began. Since then I've seen many people who ordered much later (in some cases days) have their phones ship.

i ordered on the 27th at a local ATT store and my ship dates are 11/5-14.. preparing to ship for a long time now.

I ordered my two iphone 6 64 GB Space Gray phones from AT&T website on 9-18-14. I got estimated shipping date of between 10-17 and 11-06.

The order status page on the website moved to preparing to ship within an hour, but the estimated shipping dates remained the same.

I then called the 1-877-78-8870 after a few days and got the message that my phones were currently on back order and that the estimated shipping dates were 10-17 thru 11-06.

The website never changed from preparing to ship, but on 9-26-14, the 877 number moved them from back ordered to processing. Then on 9-27-14, I got my text message letting me know that both phones had shipped.

I got one delivered by Fedex on 9-30-14 and the second one that I had ordered first was shipped via UPS and I got it yesterday.

In my experience the 877 number was the better source of movement on your order.

Good luck to everyone, so far I love the new phone.

I'm genuinely happy for you, but it irks me that I stayed up late to preorder my phone and people who ordered nearly a week later get theirs first. Dammit AT&T!

Hey gold/128/6+ people: I did it. Cancelled my AT&T pre-order, was eligible for upgrade immediately (I checked while still on the phone), and grabbed this exact phone from a local Apple store. I was in and out in about an hour (I was shocked to see how many scalpers were still in line, cycling through multiple times).

I was able to get it as a Next phone, no problem. Setting everything up at home now.

Anyway, ultimately it was quick and easy and they had the phone at several local Apple stores. Check yours!

I placed an order through my company, who confirmed it was placed with AT&T on 9/22. I was told 3-4 weeks, but was not given any dates or tracking information. Ordered a 64GB space gray iPhone 6. Don't mind waiting, but would, at a minimum, like to know an expected ship date. Hoping sooner rather than later.

Observations

Been lurking a few weeks awaiting delivery of my SG 6+ 64GB (ordered 9/15) and have come to the following conclusion:

If you've ordered a 6+ and have checked the standard places for signs of your order moving:

www.att.com/wirelessorderstatus
877.782.8870

and it isn't moving AND you have the option to pick it up from the Apple store:

1) Find a store with it in stock: http://www.seaturtle.org/idevice/
2) Cancel your AT&T order
3) Reserve and schedule pickup via apple.com

A majority of the new phones coming in appear to be going to stock Apple's own stores/orders...a smaller part appears to be going to the various vendors, of which AT&T is just one (and even with AT&T, some portion still appears to be going to their stores).

Some of us (phone's bought through employer managed business accounts, some permutations of AT&T NEXT plan, etc.) have no other option but to wait. About all we can do is watch the shipments arrive and hope one is ours:

PS - For those that have ordered the iPhone 6 (not the 6+), you are more likely to get your phone soonish...but you may also want to consider buying directly from Apple.

By bottleneck, do you mean as it applies to the 64GB models? i.e., are 64GB models slow coming out?

No, I mean the reason they got their order shipped is that they ordered the 64GB model, which is apparently a lot more common than the 128GB.

I see. Thanks for the clarification. Should be good news for me then.

One reason I have not cancelled and gone to the Apple store yet is for the iPhone 4S trade in value, which is a $200 statement credit. So I'm holding out for that.

Here in western NY, the local Apple stores have all sizes of 6+ in gold and only the 16Gb or 124Gb silver. No space grey at all.

Seems like they're out of space grey which is kinda what i wanted but i can live with silver. it's going to get thrown in a case anyway.

I was in the same boat... now i have to wait till oct 3rd to be able to use my upgrade to buy my phone from the local apple Store... which has had stock of the plus the past few days... all I can do is buy the phone for 549 or full price... or watch and wait till the 3rd when I'm sure all will be sold again ugh lol

Here is something that might entertain you while We all wait

I tried to do just as you suggested, but when I tried to reserve one, it wont allow me to do a personal pick up with att next....it seems the universe doesn't want me to get my phones.....:( :( :( :( (dramatic I know but well, I got nothing else :p:p:p)
I ordered 2 6+'s gold in 128gb on 9/12 and have shipping dates of 10/31/11/11 with no change in weeks. Live in NY

premier

What is so good about premier? With Premier, could I order through the Apple Store. Ordered 6 Space grey 64GB on 9/25 via att Premier online store

Premier refers to one of two things: a corporate-owned account (CRU), or an individually-owned account associated with a corporate discount (IRU). In both cases, the main benefit of Premier is that you receive a discount on your service as part of the deal the company negotiated with AT&T.

I am pretty sure CRU people (which stands for corporate responsibility users) must order their devices through the AT&T Premier website. They can't order directly through Apple.

IRU people can order directly through Apple, or through AT&T. They sort-of have a Premier-experience: some of their website experience is through the Premier website, but other parts of it act like normal consumer.

There is some indication that Premier users are getting their shipments from AT&T sooner than non-Premier users. It's not clear whether that includes both CRU and IRU accounts, and we don't necessarily have enough examples on this thread to say for sure that this is happening.

Ordered 9/12 schedule 10/13 to 10/22 actually arrived 9/29. Love it, Space Gray 64 gb, performance very good, battery life is phenomenal compared to my quickly retired S4 Actve, I mean night and day different. Been carrying all week in my tight front jeans pocket. Climbing in my SUV, riding my bike, etc. ---- no bends, no problems, and mind you my jeans are tight enough they pocket dialed 911 at least 2 dozen times when carrying the Samsung. Coworker got the Spigen Neo Hybrid, keeps the slim look and ads structural rigidity to the phone if you're still worried, I did order one myself.

The time will quickly pass, you'll have it and you'll love it!

I have an IRU account and I also am the CRU. So there should be no problem if I ordered through target?

It sounds like you have two phone numbers, one paid by the company and one paid by yourself. If you order for the IRU line, I think you'll have no problem. If you order for the CRU line, I think you will have problems.
