They can try to charge me a restocking fee all they want, but when their website says otherwise, I'm going to put up a fight. Image
I thought u can get no restocking fees within 15 days if the package is unopened

Ordered in store 9/26. "Preparing to ship" status on the website. 10/16-27 ship date.
Any ideas of when I'll actually see it?
I ordered my two iphone 6 64 GB Space Gray phones from AT&T website on 9-18-14. I got estimated shipping date of between 10-17 and 11-06.
The order status page on the website moved to preparing to ship within an hour, but the estimated shipping dates remained the same.
I then called the 1-877-78-8870 after a few days and got the message that my phones were currently on back order and that the estimated shipping dates were 10-17 thru 11-06.
The website never changed from preparing to ship, but on 9-26-14, the 877 number moved them from back ordered to processing. Then on 9-27-14, I got my text message letting me know that both phones had shipped.
I got one delivered by Fedex on 9-30-14 and the second one that I had ordered first was shipped via UPS and I got it yesterday.
In my experience the 877 number was the better source of movement on your order.
Good luck to everyone, so far I love the new phone.
The key is that he/she ordered 64GB models. That's the real bottleneck here.
By bottleneck, do you mean as it applies to the 64GB models? i.e., are 64GB models slow coming out?
No, I mean the reason they got their order shipped is that they ordered the 64GB model, which is apparently a lot more common than the 128GB.
I placed an order through my company, who confirmed it was placed with AT&T on 9/22. I was told 3-4 weeks, but was not given any dates or tracking information. Ordered a 64GB space gray iPhone 6. Don't mind waiting, but would, at a minimum, like to know an expected ship date. Hoping sooner rather than later.
I can confirm that 6 local Apple stores are now carrying the 6+ in all sizes, except the grey.
Here in western NY, the local Apple stores have all sizes of 6+ in gold and only the 16Gb or 124Gb silver. No space grey at all.
There's no apparent logic to their shipping. I'm 10/2-13 ship date and placed my order minutes after the preordering began. Since then I've seen many people who ordered much later (in some cases days) have their phones ship.
Been lurking a few weeks awaiting delivery of my SG 6+ 64GB (ordered 9/15) and have come to the following conclusion:
If you've ordered a 6+ and have checked the standard places for signs of your order moving:
www.att.com/wirelessorderstatus
877.782.8870
and it isn't moving AND you have the option to pick it up from the Apple store:
1) Find a store with it in stock: http://www.seaturtle.org/idevice/
2) Cancel your AT&T order
3) Reserve and schedule pickup via apple.com
A majority of the new phones coming in appear to be going to stock Apple's own stores/orders...a smaller part appears to be going to the various vendors, of which AT&T is just one (and even with AT&T, some portion still appears to be going to their stores).
Some of us (phone's bought through employer managed business accounts, some permutations of AT&T NEXT plan, etc.) have no other option but to wait. About all we can do is watch the shipments arrive and hope one is ours:

PS - For those that have ordered the iPhone 6 (not the 6+), you are more likely to get your phone soonish...but you may also want to consider buying directly from Apple.
What is so good about premier? With Premier, could I order through the Apple Store. Ordered 6 Space grey 64GB on 9/25 via att Premier online store
Premier refers to one of two things: a corporate-owned account (CRU), or an individually-owned account associated with a corporate discount (IRU). In both cases, the main benefit of Premier is that you receive a discount on your service as part of the deal the company negotiated with AT&T.
I am pretty sure CRU people (which stands for corporate responsibility users) must order their devices through the AT&T Premier website. They can't order directly through Apple.
IRU people can order directly through Apple, or through AT&T. They sort-of have a Premier-experience: some of their website experience is through the Premier website, but other parts of it act like normal consumer.
There is some indication that Premier users are getting their shipments from AT&T sooner than non-Premier users. It's not clear whether that includes both CRU and IRU accounts, and we don't necessarily have enough examples on this thread to say for sure that this is happening.
I have an IRU account and I also am the CRU. So there should be no problem if I ordered through target?
