I have only seen three people on here get the gold 6+ and that on the two threads I have been on since 9/12 and my wife being one of them. I think gold is the new unicorn

i received a 64gb gold 6+...ordered space gray, so back it went. still waiting for my replacement.
 
So my pain of waiting has finally ended after a fashion. When we ordered I had to pay the difference of my Next Installment off, sure ok, no problem, happy to. Well as I've said before, everything for my fiancé's stuff went through without a hitch, well turns out mine was more of a mess than I thought. I had been given one of the dreaded 11/9-11/27 date ranges and I was going to have to sit and wait. Well when I got the most recent bill I had to call cause I was charged for renewing for another two years and lost my Mobile Share Value discount. Called one day and was on hold for 2 hours with 4 reps, and got no where. Now yesterday I get a text that my order was canceled. Um ok, WTF right? so I called in, spent another 2 hours on the phone to find out that my Next payoff wasn't applied correctly and it was showing me as ineligible. So I ask the question, where did that money go, and they had no idea.

So the next part of this story, I said well if you're going to cancel my preorder, make my line eligible so that I can go into a store, I know some place that has a 6 in stock. I was going to step down from a plus to a regular 6, which ended up being fine with me. The first rep I had messed around for a while, got a supervisor, who didn't talk to me at all, he messed with my account. I watch my eligibility the whole time, on my phone and had a store rep check it too, it never changed. What did change is that my bill spiked several times, I've got a bill coming due in two weeks, it went from the usual $250 all the way up to $700 before it finally landed on $279, ok fine I'll pay that whatever. Eligibility never once changed. The rep checked in a few times, and nothing.

So, guess what, they pass me on to, and I couldn't make this up if I tried, a manager from the Special Circumstances Dept. Has anyone ever heard of that? Regardless of the title, this guy knew his way around the system, I was very impressed. Whatever he did, he made sure I was eligible, stayed on the line till it was done, made sure everything was right. I was very impressed. My only question is, I was on Next, and was supposed to send my Galaxy S5 back, he never mentioned it, nor did he say anything when I asked. When I called CS this morning, the woman had no idea, and just said to take mine and my fiancé's phones to the store and that they would make notes. I'm hoping this doesn't turn out to be another disaster.

Thats the end of my preorder story, Next year, its either preorder from a place like Best Buy or directly from Apple. I will never do a carrier preorder again.
 
My iphone 6 16gb gray order that was originally scheduled for a 9/25-10/7 shipping date was placed on backorder on 10/7 but last night they updated the shipping date to 10/9-10/17.

Not sure if this is good news or bad news. Kinda upsetting knowing that they will nonchalantly change the shipping date bact by 2 weeks... whats stopping them from doing it over and over?

Ditto here, dates changed the same way. Time will tell how much longer this drags out..
 
For anybody who wants to take their issues up the flagpole, the CEO's department looks to repsond quickly. Emailed them yesterday and got a call today. Not sure what they will do, but they said they are looking into my issue.

I got a call from AT&T's "Office of the President" about my 11/9-11/27 ship date yesterday. (I ordered it at a store around noon on 9/12.) They said my ship date is tied to regional warehouse availability and basically just a crapshoot. The reason some people who ordered after 9/12 already have their 6+ is purely due to having a better warehouse assignment. It seems your ship date is based on where you live in the U.S. So, not first come, first served.

That is pretty much what I was told at the 877#. I was also told that when people cancel they move up others "randomly".


So basically I would have to be living in the right area and be lucky; so living in a small rural community in WI and never having won any lottery, I am totally doomed. :(

That actually makes a lot of sense to me - its sorta of a bummer because almost definitely I will need to wait until November for my phone as the Boston area warehouses I have heard are not that great. I highly doubt I will be "randomly" chosen either lol

May I please have the email? I am going crazy here, not only because I really want my new phone, but bc my old one is dying on me and I will soon be phoneless :confused::confused::confused:. I pre-ordered 2 6+'s 128gb Gold on 9/12 around 5 am EST. original ship date was 11/07-11/27 then it changed to 10/31-11/11 and has stayed there ever since. I attempted to cancel my order in go to an apple store and get the phone, ATT did not allow me to, stating that my order was at the warehouse and was waiting to be shipped, but my shipping dates were accurate. I spoke to about 10 people in a span of a week, and even attempted to try to get help through twitter. Ugh this process is so exhausting:(:(:(:(:(:( What happened to the good old days that one would order something and actually get it? :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::
 
Order Cancelled

Well, I feel compelled to add my own case of woe.

On 9/12, I was up at 3 AM Eastern to order two phones. After the same delay everyone faced, I finally got my phones ordered. My SG 6 and my wife's gold 6+, both at 128gb. Order confirmed within 5 minutes of shipping, both phones to arrive 9/19.

A few hours later, I get a notice that there is a problem with the order -- my bank, apparently concerned about nearly $1,000.00 in charges at 4 AM, decided to decline payment. After getting that straightened out, my 6 was still shipping normally, but the 6+ was delayed until the end of October. Again, nothing you haven't already seen.

Ship date moved up to Oct. 2 to 13, which was exciting. Then, during a particularly bad week this week, I got online to see if my wife's 6 Plus had shipped.

Imagine my surprise to find that the order was cancelled.

After spending time on both chat and with tech support, I was told both times that the error was on the part of AT&T, and that they had no explanation for why it was cancelled. Both initially stated that it was because the # associated with the phone was invalid, but when I pointed out that I've been paying a bill associated with that line for 10 years, they looked a little deeper and discovered I was correct. Then things got weird.

The person I spoke to on the tech support line said, "I see what happened, and I have no protocol to follow on how to deal with it. My hands are tied. The best I can do is reorder now, and give you free shipping."

Well, that's not good enough. So now I'm waiting for a call back from the "escalation team" to figure out what they might be able to do. And it's been two days since then.

So basically, AT&T cancelled my order for no reason that even THEY can figure out, but they can't do anything, yet, except tell me to go to the back of the line and start waiting again.

That's, well, irritating to say the least. :mad:
 
Do I have to give up my old iPhone for AT&T Next?

I am signing up for AT&T Next to get an iPhone 6+. I assumed that I could keep my iPhone 5s bought on a 24 month plan 1 year ago. Does anyone know if this is true?

My new AT&T Next monthly payment is steep. I assumed one of the reasons for the high fee was for me to pay, over time, some of the remaining months in my iPhone 5s 24 month contract.

Same here, Iphone 6 16gb silver. My original dates were 9/24-10/3, now 10/9-10/17. Well, at least they actually sent some sort of an update. Just wow.

I'm non-premiere so I almost gave up on seeing my phone before November, but lurking these threads gave me a sliver of hope.

877 number always gave me a backorder status even though their web site said processing. Lo and behold, this morning at 9:31AM ET I received an e-mail saying my iPhone 6 plus (Silver, 128GB) was shipped and on its way! Delivery scheduled for this Saturday (USPS).

Posting so anyone else waiting for this specific model will know that there are shipments out there. Good luck!

6+ SG 128, ordered 9/12 @ 02:56 AM CDT, status changed to "shipped" sometime last night. Had 10/2-10/13 ship dates. Non-premier.

I wonder which of the neighborhood kids or transient ne'er-do-wells who walk through the neighborhood will end up with my phone after the post office leaves it at my doorstep.

That's why I have a plethora of security cameras clearly visible around my home. While only 8 are real, the remaining are decoys the ne'er do wells don't know that. They just think I'm the crazy guy who doesn't want anyone on his property.

It's an automated status check that gives you the option to talk to a person. Doesn't really give you much more than you already know about your order.
 
This morning I just recieved an apology email from ATT stating that they were experiencing and "inventory restraint" on the iphone 6 16gb silver and that it will ship by 10/17. Interesting that they flat out stated that it will ship by that date, instead of the typical asterix and a footer note stating that it was an estimate and could change. Sounds like they are getting things in order now.
 
Just called the number, according to the automated message my gold 6 16gb is on backorder, but the status update page is saying its going to ship by tomorrow.

I got the exact same email as you (and I ordered exact same model as you). However, checking my status page still has the "estimated" wording. It said my estimated ship range has changed from 9/24-10/3 to 10/9-10/17. Hmm.
