The original estimate said 3-5 weeks (I think?)

If I end up having to wait till November 26, that would be 7 weeks for them to ship. You don't think that's a bit much?

With over 14 million orders, no that's not too much. They whipping the Foxconn folks as hard as they can. No breaks, no lunch, four hours sleep then back at it. Wouldn't want an Apple customer to wait any longer than necessary.

Is it an Ebola cure, maybe a heart or liver to replace a failing one. Food and water for disaster zone? No? It's a what? A phone, to replace one you already have, yup that's too much all right.

ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 128gb silver on 9/20 with a ship date of 10/29-11/07. Item status preparing to ship is the only status update I've seen.

I ordered the same day and phone you did. I have the same shipping dates too. I ordered the iPhone 6 Plus 128gb space gray. when i call the 877 number it says backordered and when I call the 866 number it says temporarily out of stock. :(

The second gives the date range and 877# which says backorder.

The first one says in process and zero for back order.

Was just wondering why there are two different websites.

Follow the 877 number, even though it's a bit depressing to hear "backordered." I ordered the same phone as yours (iPhone 6, silver, 64 GB) on 9/20, and had the same results as you before this last weekend. On Saturday, I received an email from AT&T, "Information about your AT&T plan". Suspecting that something may have changed, I checked my order status through the 877 number and the status had changed to "processing", followed by my expected shipment dates (10/9 to 10/20). Nothing changed on the two web sites.

About 24 hours later, I checked with the 877 number again, and the status had changed to "shipped". (I'm not sure whether the tracking number was available yet at the time. I then received another email from AT&T, "Your recent ATT order status", with news that the order had shipped and providing the tracking number (FedEx).

When checking the tracking number, FedEx reported that the item had been picked up on Sunday, but it didn't arrive at FedEx until the following afternoon. It shipped out from Fort Worth early Tuesday morning and was dropped off at my door at 10:37 a.m.

When I had a chance to see the "pick sheet" for the delivery, I discovered that the phone had been entered onto my account early Saturday morning and "picked" later that morning. I figure that's what prompted the first email. Hopefully, this will give you an idea of what to expect and what it might mean...

Is the 877# everyone keeps talking about 877.782.8870? I tried it today for the first time and it says that "order is being processed". Online it says Preparing to Ship since day I ordered ( 23rd Sept). What are all stages it goes through on phone and online?

Your phone will ship soon. When the 877 number changed to processing for me, 12 hours later my order shipped with an email notification.

I'm bummed...

One of the local stores (local if you consider 4 hours round trip local) had a 6+ Gold 128G in stock, and I waited... Now NONE of the stores have ANYTHING in the 128 available...:(:eek::apple:

Should have pulled the trigger when I could have.:(

Is the international market draining the 6+'s?

Thank you! I hope so.. Today was the first time I called the 877# and I didn't hear 'backordered' status but directly 'is being processed' status, so was a little confused.

So my estimate shipping date changed from 10/20-10/29 to 10/09-10/17.
I ordered on 9/30, iPhone 6 16gb Silver.

I'm gonna take this as a good sign? The 877 number still can't find my order but the online status updated so yay?:p

Same thing with my gf. Hopefully this means movement very soon.

I just called the 877# and it is still saying "back order", so I decide to hit zero as instructed to get more information.

The person very emphatically told me that my phone will definitely get shipped out on or before Monday 9/13.

It makes me hope but i need to see some indication that it will happen.

My 128GB SG 6+ should arrive Saturday, so I'm going to quit my bitching and sign off of this thread. I wish you all luck in getting your phones quickly!

They have told me the same thing. I'm just hoping they are right.

I ordered on the 13th and I have shipping dates of 11/9-11/27 same exact phone color and all. Smdh

Hella Funny

going to vent here.... If you ordered yesterday don't get pissed off that you are not going to get your phone for 4 weeks (the ATT website clearly says it is going to be 4 weeks.) Some of us ordered on the 12th and are still waiting patiently (my dates say Oct 13 - 22). Expecting to order on the 8th and receive on the 11th is what is REDICULOUS!! not ATT saying you will get it in November. ON another note. If your estimate is Oct 31- Nov 11 DONT rant and rave that you have not received your phone on Oct 9th and start asking for the number and email to the CEO of ATT.

Pre Order is just that an ability to order before release. There has never been (since the 4 anyway) an implied contract that you will receive your phone on launch day. When you placed the order it said when to expect your device BEFORE you clicked "order" If you didn't like the dates DONT CLICK ORDER. expecting the dates to move up is great and trust me I am hopeful my dates will change as well but man don't get frustrated with ATT if your estimate has not come and gone.

sorry but the last few posts just got under my skin. Rant over.

I registered just to tell you thanks for the laugh... I have been creepstalking the threads since I ordered a Gold 6+ 64 on Oct 1.... I knew better than to complain but the funnier posts are a great time passer so thanks.

It's called Fly Paper.. :)

I have had many iPhones delivered from Apple (though AT&T or not). In every case it is always FedEx and always "signature required". Seems like common sense from a liability standpoint (for the FedEx).

Common sense went out the window as demand doubled over the last release. Common sense to me would be as another poster suggested Pony Express at this point all shippers should be shipping iphones WHATEVER IT TAKES

do you mean october 13th?

Another morning, another disappointment from AT&T. Website still shows my Space Gray - 128 GB - iPhone 6 Plus with a date of 10-13 to 10-22 (no movement) and the 877-782-8870 number still shows backordered.

I emailed Ralph de la Vega, President and CEO of AT&T. Waste of time. (ralph.delavega@att.com)

My name is Tina Kite and I work within the Office of the President for AT&T. Our job is to resolve issues on behalf of senior leadership for the company. I will be your point of contact on this issue through resolution. To ensure that I have a full understanding of your requested resolution, I will be trying to reach out to you over the next few days, or feel free to call me at 916.979.7439.

For those that ordered a 64GB SG 6, there is hope. I received my shipping confirmaiton this morning. Should have it on Monday. I ordered on 9/22 for those keeping track of ordering/shipping. I did contact the CEO's office via email earlier this week and spoke to an escalation officer about the situation. Not sure how much that helped, but the phone is on it's way, which tells me they have them in inventory. When I spoke to her yesterday midday, they did not have them in inventory.

I emailed the President and CEO of AT&T but I think that will be fruitless. This has just been a fail at so many levels. While I'm sure it generates great media buzz with the demand for the product at such a high, what it does to the customers isn't good for AT&T or Apple.
