The second gives the date range and 877# which says backorder.
The first one says in process and zero for back order.
Was just wondering why there are two different websites.
Follow the 877 number, even though it's a bit depressing to hear "backordered." I ordered the same phone as yours (iPhone 6, silver, 64 GB) on 9/20, and had the same results as you before this last weekend. On Saturday, I received an email from AT&T, "Information about your AT&T plan". Suspecting that something may have changed, I checked my order status through the 877 number and the status had changed to "processing", followed by my expected shipment dates (10/9 to 10/20). Nothing changed on the two web sites.
About 24 hours later, I checked with the 877 number again, and the status had changed to "shipped". (I'm not sure whether the tracking number was available yet at the time. I then received another email from AT&T, "Your recent ATT order status", with news that the order had shipped and providing the tracking number (FedEx).
When checking the tracking number, FedEx reported that the item had been picked up on Sunday, but it didn't arrive at FedEx until the following afternoon. It shipped out from Fort Worth early Tuesday morning and was dropped off at my door at 10:37 a.m.
When I had a chance to see the "pick sheet" for the delivery, I discovered that the phone had been entered onto my account early Saturday morning and "picked" later that morning. I figure that's what prompted the first email. Hopefully, this will give you an idea of what to expect and what it might mean...
