I got the exact same email as you (and I ordered exact same model as you). However, checking my status page still has the "estimated" wording. It said my estimated ship range has changed from 9/24-10/3 to 10/9-10/17. Hmm.

My status page on the website states the exact same thing as yours but I was more interested in the wording in the email that made it sound definite instead of estimated. I tried calling the 877# and it still lists it as backordered. To me it sounds like the identified the issue and are working hard to resolve the extended delay in our model. If they didn't send out that apology email I would assume they are just dragging us along but I feel a bit more optimistic now.

May I please have the email? I am going crazy here, not only because I really want my new phone, but bc my old one is dying on me and I will soon be phoneless :confused::confused:. I pre-ordered 2 6+'s 128gb Gold on 9/12 around 5 am EST. original ship date was 11/07-11/27 then it changed to 10/31-11/11 and has stayed there ever since. I attempted to cancel my order in go to an apple store and get the phone, ATT did not allow me to, stating that my order was at the warehouse and was waiting to be shipped, but my shipping dates were accurate. I spoke to about 10 people in a span of a week, and even attempted to try to get help through twitter. Ugh this process is so exhausting:(:(:(:(:(:( What happened to the good old days that one would order something and actually get it?:mad::mad::mad::mad::

My 10/13 -10/15 estimate for the space grey 6 64 gb has been been pushed to 11/06 - 11/26.

That's kind of ridiculous.

All this sounds horrible. Especially the prolonged wait even for 6.. Customer service sounds horrible not knowing what there talking about and all the cancelled orders the least they can do is credit your next bill or something.

going to vent here.... If you ordered yesterday don't get pissed off that you are not going to get your phone for 4 weeks (the ATT website clearly says it is going to be 4 weeks.) Some of us ordered on the 12th and are still waiting patiently (my dates say Oct 13 - 22). Expecting to order on the 8th and receive on the 11th is what is REDICULOUS!! not ATT saying you will get it in November. ON another note. If your estimate is Oct 31- Nov 11 DONT rant and rave that you have not received your phone on Oct 9th and start asking for the number and email to the CEO of ATT.

Pre Order is just that an ability to order before release. There has never been (since the 4 anyway) an implied contract that you will receive your phone on launch day. When you placed the order it said when to expect your device BEFORE you clicked "order" If you didn't like the dates DONT CLICK ORDER. expecting the dates to move up is great and trust me I am hopeful my dates will change as well but man don't get frustrated with ATT if your estimate has not come and gone.

sorry but the last few posts just got under my skin. Rant over.

It all depends on color, capacity and model you have ordered, and whether or not you're a premier customer or not.

I was informed by AT&T that premier customer inventory is different from non-premier customer inventory, and this is why so many premier customers are screaming in rage after preordering on the 12th, and seeing people that ordered after launch date get their phones.

I preordered a 128 GB Space Gray iPhone 6+ on 9/12 at about 7 am CST. My order has stayed on "Preparing to Ship" status since the 16th, and my estimated shipping window has lingered on 10/31-11/11 since then.

The original estimate said 3-5 weeks (I think?)

If I end up having to wait till November 26, that would be 7 weeks for them to ship. You don't think that's a bit much?

There's light at the end of the tunnel, guys. I promise. It's worth every second you wait, every second you impatiently check online/877#, every disappointment when you check and it still says backordered. Believe me, I went through it all day, every day, for over a week. You'll get it, you'll love it, you'll realize it was worth it.... promise!!

Now you're just being cocky... Oh... Wait... that's your username... nevermindthencarryon!:)

While I somewhat agree. The problem is that att seems to have the longest wait time among carriers for an iPhone 6( all carriers have delays with the + model). Nobody who ordered a 6 last month should still be waiting for it to come in with no movement on their status etc. Regardless of the time stated when ordering, att should make a more concerted effort to get you your phone and keep you up to date and also keep the CS reps well informed so you don't get BS replies and still left clueless afterwards. I'm a satisfied tmobile customer and if you hop over to the tmobile thread there might be a couple people leftover but barely anybody still on that thread is waiting for an iphone6 there all discussing there experiences for an iphone6+. Also if you go back a pages and what not you will read how people with order cancellations and problems upgrading were all credited some sort of cash towards their next months bill and what not. Also they were in contact with the CEOs exec. Team and getting definitive answers. So maybe contacting the CEO of att is the way to go at this point regardless of what phone you ordered.

It's Called Fly Paper

That's why I have a plethora of security cameras clearly visible around my home. While only 8 are real, the remaining are decoys the ne'er do wells don't know that. They just think I'm the crazy guy who doesn't want anyone on his property.
It's called Fly Paper.. :)

I have had many iPhones delivered from Apple (though AT&T or not). In every case it is always FedEx and always "signature required". Seems like common sense from a liability standpoint (for the FedEx).

These two websites appear to give slightly different information, which one is most people following?

Thanks much :)

Call the toll free #, I have the same status and I am backordered. I anticipate I will get it by thanksgiving unless I decide to cancel & just directly order from apple shortly. Btw my order is for a 64 GB 6+ Gold

My iphone 6 16gb gray order that was originally scheduled for a 9/25-10/7 shipping date was placed on backorder on 10/7 but last night they updated the shipping date to 10/9-10/17.

Not sure if this is good news or bad news. Kinda upsetting knowing that they will nonchalantly change the shipping date bact by 2 weeks... whats stopping them from doing it over and over?

So what you want them to do? Not tell you it's moving out. Squeeze CEO harder, maybe more phones will materialize from an orifice? You do understand ATT doesn't produce the phone, right. Wait six months. Probably get it three to four days after ordering then.

I would assume its good business practice to not send customers misleading or bad information. I completely understand that they cannot forsee the future and may not know exactly how/when Apple will ship the product but I would assume as two very large companies that they had to have some type of communication to get fairly accurate shipping dates.

Instead, I've already recieved 3 different emails since my order has been placed stating "Don't worry, you'll have it delivered by xx date! :)". If they can't meet the dates (because they aren't creating the phones as you stated) then they really shouldn't be sending out these high-hope emails that they know they can't live up to. If most local stores were out-of-stock, I don't feel many people would be complaining as much either.

Hi everyone! I've been lurking this thread for a while and decided to finally post :) I ordered my 6+ gold 64gb on Sept 20th and I've been processing ever since, estimate is 10/29-11/7 so I've got some time. Just wanted to join the conversation and have some company while waiting!

What is upsetting is, if they are telling the truth of course, hearing reports of people ordering on the 1st of oct, and they already have their phones. Through what means i have no idea.

Interesting, I ordered the same time as you, but I'm 10/13/14 - 10/22/14.
