well been stuck in preparing to ship since day 1, my wife ordered hers on the first friday you could back in sept, got her gold iphone 6 16gb in a week.

my silver Apple iPhone 6 - 16GB just changed to:

The estimated shipping date range for this item has changed from 10/14/14 - 10/23/14 to 10/09/14 - 10/17/14.

Another morning, another disappointment from AT&T. Website still shows my Space Gray - 128 GB - iPhone 6 Plus with a date of 10-13 to 10-22 (no movement) and the 877-782-8870 number still shows backordered.

Same here for my 64 silver 6. Att assured me that it will shipped Monday 10/13. I will wait "patiently" until then to see if anything changes.

Monday is Columbus Day and I don't know if that delays anything.

Keeping my fingers crossed for myself and all others still waiting.

In addition to 3 emails to executive group, I also put in a BBB complaint. They have until the 9th to respond.

The Atlanta BBB has 22,755 complaints within the last three years against AT&T. They have a B+ rating.

Satisfied Customers Tell Three Friends, Angry Customers Tell Anyone Then Encounter.

In AT&T's defense, they can't satisfy the customers when they promise things that they can't deliver. I'd love to see AT&T announce that they will not be releasing the iPhone 7 until they are assured of adequate quantities.

I'm starting to get seriously annoyed. I am seeing people who ordered the same phone as me (iPhone 6+, 128GB Space Gray) on or after I did (9/12/14, 6:00 AM CDT) already getting their phones. Why am I still stuck in backorder limbo? I very much doubt that the 10/13/14 ship date is anywhere near reality at this moment.

AT&T has done nothing to manage my expectations, which is leading to me getting angry over something as trivial as a phone. Just be honest with me, AT&T. When will my stupid phone ship, already?

OK, I feel a little better now after venting, but I'm still annoyed! :p

Thought I'd jump in and say hi, I've been living over in the Tmobile thread. Lots of angst there as well, but Tmo is at least giving people substantial credits to make up for the waiting.

Hang in there all, they will get here eventually (but I know waiting sucks).

I emailed Ralph de la Vega, President and CEO of AT&T. Waste of time. (ralph.delavega@att.com)

You complained because the phone hasn't shipped before they told you when it would ship? I must have missed something - I'm not current on the entire thread.

What did you complain about? I looked at your previous posts but didn't see anything specific.

It's not the waiting that upsets me, I understand that Apple low-balled their estimates on the demand for the larger models.

What irritates me is AT&T's handling of preorders. ALL preorders should be fulfilled first before folks that came in and ordered after launch date on the 19th.

When we made our pre-orders on the 12th (At least for the premier customers), we received the following email message:

Your iPhone has been reserved. All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Your order may be subject to AT&T eligibility and credit requirements. If we have any questions about your eligibility or your order, we will contact you via email.

Items in your cart may be held until all items in your order can be sent in one shipment. Preorder items will be shipped as soon as they are available.

We're not told that premier customers are getting their stock from a different channel. Instead, we're seeing people that ordered phones after September 19th getting shipped to them while we're still waiting for our preordered phones to come off of backorder.

Either AT&T should get rid of the preorder system all together, or they need to stop filling newer orders and take care of the preorders first... even if they have to juggle stock between channels (my opinion, which is probably worth diddly over squat).

I'm relatively new to the forums here. Most of my complaints are on AT&T's forums.

My complaints were about the misleading "First come, first served" mentioned in the email sent to premier customers that preordered, about being told 5-7 days, then being told our orders on back order, all the while seeing people that ordered post launch date on the 19th having their phones delivered. I also complained about premier customers not being told that their phone orders were being fulfilled from completely different stock.

I understand the supply and demand issue, but AT&T could have, and should have handled this whole preordering affair better.

Hopefully this means more supply from Apple? Or more likely, longer wait times for us :D. I think more than anything, they will get Sprint's supply - they are the only carrier I have seen carry stock for more than a few hours.

The reason Sprint has so many is there aren't nearly as many people on Sprint with iPhones.

Credits for waiting? That isn't likely to happen at AT&T.

I'm fed up that I ordered early on the first day pre-orders were available and still don't have my iPhone almost 1 month later. Yet, people who have ordered after me, are right now texting, emailing and posting from their phablet. The fact that they even gave us dates so far out is ludicrous. But I'm one of the lucky ones. I don't have an ETF. I can express my displeasure by taking my dollars to someone who can provide it.

I ordered thru premier and I am waiting for two iPhones, I assume like everyone else. And a side note is they do hold your complete order, because I have two non-iPhone's in that order that have not shipped yet either.

AT&T Pre-order status

That's quite ridiculous to hold on what is now available to make a complete order.

I just found out today that ordering through a corporate store is yet another channel, so those getting theirs before me maybe a different channel.

Talk about a logistic nightmare. :(

Oh well, I know after we get our devices we will forget this nightmare but in the meantime it's great to have company in my misery. Lol

I ordered two phones through Premier and they did not hold up the orders. One shipped when ready and the other is in backorder.

I would disagree ordered two 128g 6+ one for me and one for my wife. My wife has hers got it Wednesday. Both ordered at same time

So what I've gathered is that it is a complete crap shoot as to who gets what when. No wonder people are mad. I think if they were just more forthcoming with information, people wouldn't be so worked up. I know AT&T didn't produce the phone, just want to be kept in the loop better than what has been demonstrated so far.

Idk it's been 1 week since my order was placed and the other two phones are galaxy s5's and I am sure there is plenty of stock for those two. Maybe its a good thing because I am porting numbers from Verizon. If they ship those two phones, I would have to activate them and be forced to pay two carriers until I get the two iPhones and close my Verizon account completely.

lol After posting this my S5's now say backordered in my order status and the two iPhones say preparing to ship. It's strange that this was the last day of the estimated ship date of the S5's as well as the iPhone 6 I ordered, then the statuses change to this. My iPhone date was extended till 11/3 - 11/21. At this rate the 6s will be released about the time we get our 6.

Gotcha. It does seem rather "messy". :)

So last night they changed my estimated ship dates from 10/20-29 to 10/09-17 but now they changed it back to 10/20-29.

wtf....

I only ordered the 6 in 16GB silver so I don't understand why it's taking so long.....

Hey at least yours is moving around, mine is stuck in 11/9-11/27, at times I feel like just cancelling and order it directly through apple. But then, I have waited this long may be my phone is just around the corner ;-)

Finally my 6 16GB silver has shipped! Ordered on 9/18 with original window of 9/29-10/8. Obviously it didn't ship on time, but at least it is only 2 days late. Good luck everyone!
