I really need to stop checking the AT&T site and the 877# and wait for the email or the end of my shipping window, whichever comes first.
It's too frustrating otherwise.
It's really hard not to check... It really sucks waiting for a 6 as if it were 6+ ....
Well, my status proves this to be false. Ordered at 8:05 EDT on 9/12 and it has said Preparing to Ship since that day. The 877 still says "backordered." I'm five days into the estimated shipping window, no sign of movement.
To make matters worse, we leave for WDW today. I really wish that I had my bigger iPhone with the great battery for taking photos and videos of the kids. #AT&T Fail.

I liked this only to sympathize with you. BTW, DO NOT REFORMAT YOUR MEDIA CARD AT WDW!! Like I did. Lost 4 days of pictures because my dumb arse didn't know I could still save them. Try to have fun and take your mind off this whole fiasco. Don't let it ruin a great time!
I had great ideas about getting mine 64Gig 6+ to shoot pictures at my trip to WDW too but to no avail. I got back yesterday afternoon. The good thing is, my iphone 5 & wife's 5s did take some great pictures & videos of all of us.
The mine ride in magic kingdom wasn't worth the 60 min wait
, but that is my opinion. Soarin' in Epcot was great. I never got to do the Toy Story ride in Hollywood studios, 70 min wait and couldn't get fastpasses at all.

Day 5 into my shipping window and no change from "preparing to ship" on line and "backorder" on 877#. (yeah I know I said wasn't going to check any more)
On the AT&T Forums people are posting same issues and some peoples orders have even got cancelled, it's a mess.

Yeah, if they have to order it for you you have to pay with a CC and get the credit for use on accessories or your AT&T bill. It's not just an AT&T thing. Apple is the same way (if you have to order you gotta pay for the phone and get apple gift cards for your trade in). AT&T at least let me trade in two phones which is why I went with them (as well as I got more credit for my phones and I don't need apple gift cards where I could use the AT&T credit on my bill). i was told it shouldn't be too hard to grab an iPhone 6 when one came in if I was diligent so if it weren't for being able to trade 2 phones and more credit I would have tried snagging a phone from apple when it came in.
Same here! I was really hoping to see some sort of change for either of us this morning but who was I kidding??? # Is anyone seeing changes during the day or are most status changes occurring late at night? Both portions of our order that have shipped have been at midnight and at like 4am. If things are only changing at night maybe I could talk myself into only checking the status in the morning...maybe....yeah right! Haha
We back up our media cards and iPhones/iPad to our Macs every night in the resort. Start out with fresh media cards or camera rolls for the next day.

We plan ahead so that we already have Fastpasses for all three of those. Love those magic bands.
We all say we aren't going to check but you know we are weak. I keep swearing that I'm going to dump AT&T but I've been with them this long.
We are keeping an informal list over in the AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only) thread (current list is in post #11714). It looks like you are about 4 hours behind that last filled order for a 6+ 128 SG.
For people who got their phones already, what changed first? The 877 status or the att website status page?
I'm not sure for mine woke up at 2:38 am on the 14th and website was changed and had tracking 877# went to processing on the 13th at 1:30pm

Shipped yesterday, will be delivered on 10/20.
I ordered 6+Sg 128gb on 9/20. It has been preparing to ship on 10/29-11/7 since day one.
Don't know why my date is before yours.
What? I ordered the same device as you on 9/19 and got a 11/9-11/27 shipping date. I don't get it.
Pretty much same here... two days into my shipping window (10/15 - 10/24). I ordered an iPhone 6 White/Silver (64GB) on 9/25, specifically because the AT&T estimated lead time was one week less than the space gray one.
To make matters worse, I traded in my iPhone 5 at that time and have been living with a 5 year old flip phone (ack!). Frustrating!... Ah well... it's only a phone.

I posted late yesterday. I just happen to stop by the Apple Store because my team got me a gift card for Bosses day and they just happen to have an iPhone 6 plus in stock. I had ordered it through AT&T three weeks ago and I was going to have to wait three more weeks. Wish everyone well on getting their order.

i ordered a 64gb gold 6 on Sept. 29, since my Iphone 4s quit working on the 28th, and this phone only had a 10/6-10/8 (6-8 day) shipment wait.
On Oct. 1, the ship date was changed to 10/10-10/21, this concerned me since i don't have a phone. so i called. the customer service rep promised me i was getting my phone on the 10th. even when i said "you mean 'as late as the 21st,'" she replied "no, you'll have it on the 10th." ok, sounds fine.
since i didn't get a notice about shipping by the 9th, I called back, and the lady basically said the earlier promise was a lie. my choices were to wait, or cancel, and try to get one in stores. this is my fault for not checking the stores first, but annoyed, I cancelled. Called around, and everything was 2-3 weeks. So re-ordered the next day, with shipping date now 10/29-11/07.
i called to see if i could get bumped up to my original revised shipping date, and they escalated it to a higher dept. who would call me back. i called after 5 days of not hearing anything, and they were still "reviewing" my case, and to wait for a call. I called back after 8 days, and the customer service rep had an answer about my escalation ticket - "we don't have any control over shipping dates, since it is automated, so can't escalate shipping."
