AT&T Pre-order status

Wish AT&T would just keep it simple. First ordered first shipped. I've seen people that have ordered after me get theirs. Also people walking in and getting same phone. Well before a lot of people get theirs.

There's no rhyme or reason to this process. 1st time I have ever ordered online through AT&T. Last time also.

Heh, AT&T would not have been my first choice but they offered me the best deal for trade in including allowing me to trade in both my phones (apple would only do one and didn't give me near as good value and I'd have to try to catch one as it came in because they'd only give me an apple gift card if I ordered it and I really don't need an apple gift card). I know they have a reputation of getting less phones in and a less happy experience getting the phone overall.

But, in the end, it worked out for me but that's cause I got the lucky end of the draw and got my phone out of order (they seriously sent me it shipped email an hour or two after they sent me an email confirming my order and telling me it would be 2 or more weeks before they'd ship it).

I wonder if their system is buggy and if your order comes in right before some come in it tends to immediately just send it to the orders that just got entered in as they get more phones in....
 
Hey guys, now that I have been throughly screwed by ATT I need to keep tabs on when the iPhone is available, do you guys know that website that allows one to check when they have stock? I saw it posted here before but now I can't find it... #########
 
Also check applestoreinventory.com as well as idevicechecker.com. Ship estimates are all over the place with no rhyme nor reason so trying to check actual inventory is a smart move.
 
What I wish is that AT&T had told me that they couldn't ship the iPhone 6 Plus prior to my leaving on vacation on 10/17 when I ordered it on 9/12. Instead, they said that the iPhone 6 Plus 128 GB Space Gray had a shipping date of 10/13 - 10/22 but that was overestimated and they were sure it would be delivered prior to that.

IF they had told me that they weren't sure that I'd have the iPhone before we left, I would have stood in line at the Apple Store on 9/12. Then I'd be shooting my photos with my iPhone 6 Plus instead of with my iPhone 5s. My DD12 would be using an iPhone 5s instead of her 4s. Her 6-year-old sister would be using an Otterboxed 4s instead of a Kodak point & shoot.

I'm on Day 7 of my 10/13 - 10/22 window. Same ******** for me. Can't wrap my head around why they can't just ship in order by date. Would the easiest way to satisfy everyone. No more walking in and walking out with what someone has had on backordered for well over a month.
 
AT&T Pre-order status

I am hoping that we haven't heard anything because nothing much happens over the weekend. We should see some action tomorrow.

Hope I am not setting myself up for more disappointment.

AT&T Pre-order status

So for kicks, I stopped by the AT&T store that I had ordered from. He looks up my order and says oh the silver 64 has a 7-14 day lead time. I politely mention it will be 4 weeks this Tuesday for me so way past the 7-14 days.

He says well it will get shipped out Monday or Tuesday. I asked him what are the chances that I will get an email on Wednesday saying my shipping dates have been moved back. To which he replies that he has never heard of shipping being moved back this late in all the years he has worked at AT&T. - ha, must be nice to be in denial.

I decided to walk out of there before I lost it.

Just venting. :)

I'm 4 days behind you, patiently waiting. For some reason, I thought I read somewhere that most orders are shipped early in the week. We'll see what the next couple of days bring.
 
I have officially given up on AT&T. I walked into a local Apple Store this weekend and picked up the 6+ 128GB Space Gray phone I want on the Verizon network. AT&T has lost this race to a rival network.

We ordered 5 phones and once I receive mine, that will be 3 different shipments that they came in. The 1st two shipments (shipment 1 ordered 9-22 - 6/64/silver and 6/64/SG then shipment 2 ordered 9-23 6/64/SG x2) both came on Thurs or Fri I believe. Looks like shipment was initiated on a Wednesday. Sweet Jesus if I don't get mine this week I guess I will have to just tape my 5 into my new 6 case and pretend :D

I don't think I will get an email bc it's all ordered under my husbands company (AT&T Business Account) so I'm having to just check the website and 877 number all the time. If I had to look for an email too I don't know what I would do! I will be patiently waiting to hear you got an email :)
