Has anyone seen AT&T's new commercial where a customer comes in and the employee answers his question before he asks? Stating "Yes, we have the new iPhone"
Does that seem weird of AT&T to do?
So they advertise that they have the new iPhone in hand so that people can come in to make an order for one to receive in a few weeks?

For people whose phones have shipped already, how soon did they ship after the status changed to processing?
Congrats!. The only 6's I've seen within an hour of me have been the 16 GB ones.
It seems like bunches of 6+'s are coming in now (finally), but not many plain 6's... and the silver/white ones are rare. I only ordered silver because I really didn't care about the color and AT&T said those would be delivered earliest.... (sigh). It really does some like they're pretty incompetent.
Just a friendly reminder that Apple makes the iPhone not AT&T.
I'm wondering how people forget about that.
Once Apple iPhone's are completed at the plant in China it's Apple that has them shipped.
I'm wondering how many people are confused about that.
All this AT&T bashing for what reason?
Did you know AT&T can only buy these from Apple? There's no other sources.
Until Apple ships iPhone's to AT&T, there's nothing that can be done.
My third iPhone 6 + from AT&T is being delivered to me tomorrow. Each year I buy mine through AT&T without a problem.
It's rather surprising that so many people are confused. I'm happy with my three purchases. This time around.
If AT&T could deliver phones on a FIFO basis *and* be able to give narrow estimated dates that they meet, I think there would be a lot less AT&T bashing. Both of those can and should be within AT&T's ability to control.
All, I have been lurking quietly, went to cancel my 10/16 6+ SG 128GB order and pick up one locally after several alerts from Istocknow, when I went to cancel my ATT order it actually had a shipped status with tracking, so ordered 10/16 and delivery on 10/31. I did go through my premier account which I don't know if that helped or not.
Glad to hear the earliest ordered are going out. All for first come first sent.got an email last nite with tracking number saying shipped.
ordered 9/13 6+ SG
THIS is the point. I don't think it's Apple's fault that AT&T seems to have no logical prioritization to their distribution process, or an accurate view of their supply chain.
You'll get one person that gets a certain model after 2 weeks, and others that wait 4 weeks for the exact same phone.
You can walk into an AT&T store in one city and walk out with a 6 Plus 64 GB (admittedly, rarely) while others that PRE-ordered on 9/12 waited a month... and others are still waiting.
I'ts AT&T, not Apple, that told me "order the the silver one, it's only 2 weeks back-ordered, the grey is 3 weeks".. and, "these are conservative estimates, they should show up earlier" then said, "uh... well... the silver one is now 5 to 6 weeks"... while the grey ones are rolling out.
It's AT&T, that didn't send a single update until after my two week original window had passed... and then simply sent, "we've updated your delivery date"... not even a, "sorry, dude, we're trying".
It's AT&T that told me, "You have to trade in your iPhone 5 by September 30th if you want the $200 trade-in deal". I've been rockin' a 6 year old Pantech flip phone for the past month. Now I assume I'll have to call up and bitch to them to remove the $30 per month data charge since I'm not using it. Because they certainly won't offer it (well, I strongly doubt it).
Now I'm SURE they have reasons for all of this, but communications on it hasn't been their strong point for the past month.
I've been an AT&T customer since the Cingular days and I'm not USUALLY an AT&T basher, but it's my OPINION that they've really bungled this one.

Ordered on 9/27
Silver 64 GB 6 (website showed Preparing to ship,") shipping 10/16-10/27
Gold 16GB 6+ (Preparing to ship), shipping 11/5-11/14
Ordered on 9/30
SG 16GB 6 (preparing to ship), shipping 10/9-10/20
SG 16GB 6+ (preparing to ship), shipping 11/7-11/18
877 number says "back ordered" on all four.
Ordered all 4 from a brick & mortar AT&T Store.
The two phones ordered on 9/30 were delivered on 10/29 via USPS from Kentucky.
The Gold 6+ ordered on 9/27 will be delivered today (10/30) via UPS from Ft Worth.
Still waiting on the 64GB 6 which has a revised shipping date of 11/01-11/14.
The 64GBs definitely seem to be the rare ones according to istocknow. Very few in the country.
