First a disclaimer:
Im NOT advocating for AT&T. I simply find it unacceptable for a company to get bashed due to guesswork and erroneous assumptions.
You are speaking as though you are an insider with AT&T and know exactly how their system is structured. If you didn't think that way you wouldn't be making the accusations around specific scenarios which you're guessing about. Everything you've posted about above has a logical explanation which is not obvious to you. It can't be because there's two sides to the story.
Apple goes silent over technical problems with their products. They are no different.
If I walk into an Apple store and buy the same model of phone I've been waiting for, there's an easy explanation, its no different at the local AT&T store. 5 minutes prior to my arrival the person who ordered that phone arrives, there's a problem that cannot be resolved like his financial picture has changed, suddenly that phone is no longer reserved, but available for the next customer that wants it.
This is but one out a vast array of explanations for various situations.
Just called the Dragon Lady and she told me that my Silver 64GB 6+ had shipped. Checked UPS and it's in Fort Worth...shipping to Dallas. Should have it tomorrow.

ATT premier customer here, ordered a silver 64 plus through ATT on 10/10. Given 11/19-12/01 as a shipping window. I'm in the southeast region. Been stuck "processing" since day one and 877 days back ordered.
Hope more of the silvers will be pushing out soon!
Well, 3rd day of my ship window. Nothing to report but more frustration.

But it shipped from Fort Worth to Fort Worth (where I live). It's literally sitting in the FedEx depot 5 miles from my house but won't be delivered until Monday. I called FedEx about picking it up and they said that there has to be at least one attempt for delivery before one can pick it up.
Dangit!!!
I would call back; have on more than one occasion had them "hold at depot" with zero attempts at delivery.
Well, I'm less than an hour away from being officially into my shipping window of 10/31 - 11/11. Nothing has changed up until now. Ordered 3 64GB iPhone 6 Plus' (one of each color) on 9/23 through my local AT&T store. Fingers crossed!![]()
