AT&T Pre-order status

I traded in my old unlocked AT&T iPhone 4 for $200 at a local corporate store in September, right after the original promotion started but before I'd ordered my new iPhone 6. After receiving my new phone a couple of weeks ago, I got the email with the trade-in promotion codes. Just got back from my local AT&T corporate store after trading in a second iPhone 4 (this one a Verizon unit) for another $200 promotion card.

I had previously been told that AT&T will allow 4 phone trade ins per year, but wasn't sure that they'd do more than one under this promotion...
 
Just found a 64gb space grey 6 in store on istock. Cancelled my order w/ship 10/30 to 11/19. Picking up tonight.
 
This is the most I have seen since launch.

Been a lurker here for a while. Curious if anyone who preordered on the 12th are still waiting for their phone on ATT?

I am a premier customer with a business account so had to order through our rep. We gave our order to our rep a few days before the pre sale and was told it would be placed when pre ordering opened up. I received my order confirmation 9/12 at roughly 3pm eastern time.

Ordered two 6+'s 128gb space grey. ETA was 11/9 - 11/27

Who knows how I got such a late delivery but I had to sit and wait. From day 1 my order was in 'preparing to ship' status. Found phones at my local apple store 2 weeks after the release but ATT would not cancel because my order was in progress.

Received the email that my order has shipped this past sunday 10/26. Phones will be here tomorrow. Man that was a long wait, but my order was shipped before the estimated date (which was way too far ahead for pre ordering day one). Wanted to share this with everyone in case it helps.

Anyone who preordered day one still waiting for their phone?

Finally my 6+. 128GB SG has moved from back ordered to preparing to ship! Ordered on 9/13. Hope it comes before the end of the week! Can't wait to play with my new iPhone!
 
Good news to everyone waiting on a Space Grey 64 GB IPhone 6 plus!! I ordered my phone day one on 9/12 at 9:30 am CST and got the shipping window of 11/9 - 11/27 as many people have. My secretary called to check on my phone and the rep told her that those phones are all coming in and they have an internal goal to have all of them out by 11/9. This morning I got an email with the shipping details. Finally my phone and many others are on the way.

Has anyone seen AT&T's new commercial where a customer comes in and the employee answers his question before he asks? Stating "Yes, we have the new iPhone"

Does that seem weird of AT&T to do?

So they advertise that they have the new iPhone in hand so that people can come in to make an order for one to receive in a few weeks?

I got lucky and was able to do a store pick up for an iPhone 6 SG 64GB at Apple store in Columbia MD. I was getting tired of waiting for ATT to deliver the phone. Waiting for the 6+ for wife is still on going.
 
Update:

Ordered 6+ 64GB SG on 9/12

Shipping confirmation received just this morning via text and email.

Glad to finally see movement.
 
The only reason I ordered from AT&T was so I could get the guaranteed trade in of $200 for my 5 and not have to deal with craigslist. I had to wait a couple weeks after launch because of my upgrade date. Ordered exactly a month ago on 9/29 and have been 'preparing to ship' ever since. It's not the end of the world waiting this long, but it's unbelievable that a company this big screwed up supply so bad.

Congrats!. The only 6's I've seen within an hour of me have been the 16 GB ones. :(

It seems like bunches of 6+'s are coming in now (finally), but not many plain 6's... and the silver/white ones are rare. I only ordered silver because I really didn't care about the color and AT&T said those would be delivered earliest.... (sigh). It really does some like they're pretty incompetent.

Really?! I ordered my SG 6+ 64GB for the same reason but I'm trading in a 4S (16GB) and they're offering the same ($200). I would have expected them to give you more for a 5. I ordered mine on 9/16 and no word or changes on the 11/9 - 11/27 shipping window... :(

Yeah I'm getting screwed because the 5 got discontinued since the 5S was so much better. I bought the 32GB version on launch 2012 thinking I could sell it for at least $300 since I sold my 4 (16GB) for $250 when the 5 launched. The resale value just got destroyed when the 5S was announced. It wasn't like that for the 4 and 4S... Carriers and retailers know the 5 isn't worth anything. I hope it isn't like this for the 6, but I have a strong feeling that the 6S with 2 GB RAM and probably the flush camera and even bigger battery will kill the 6 and 6+ just like the 5S did the 5. So that's why my phone that is 2 steps ahead of yours (double storage size and a year model newer) still gets the same trade value.

I would have held out another year and got on the 'S' cycle but my 5 is on it's last leg. my battery and lock button are both defective and eligible for free replacement but the closest Apple store is 4 hours away and I can't send my phone off and not have a phone for who knows how long.

Ditto here. My 5's lock button was intermittent and the volume down button completely dead... 4 months out of warranty. The home button died on the iPhone 4 that I had before that one... out of warranty, too. If the 6 isn't any better, I'm jumping ship. Especially after the pain of this iPhone 6 shipping disaster. It's not like I was particularly hard on my volume buttons :rolleyes:
 
You do realise they will mail you a loner 16gig phone when they fix it up., or they may even mail you a refurbished 5s identical to your existing model. Give applecare a call.

My iPhone 6+ SG 128 order has changed from backordered to Processing on the 877 number at some point in the last 24 hours. I originally ordered here in North Carolina on the 14th of September through AT&T premiere website, two days after preordering started. The 877 still states the same Nov 9-27 expected shipping range, but at least it's no longer saying back ordered for me.
