Seems the whole country had just been littered with iphones, all carriers, all sizes, all colors. The tracker websites are all green.

I think it has a lot to do with location and population, metro DC has very few and silly me thought I'd avoid the 'hassle' of ordering my wife's 6+ through AT&T.
For the iPhone 6+, at larger memory sizes, except intermittently they are still extremely hard to get. For a 128gb 6+ SG, for either AT&T, or Verizon, trackers this morning were showing exactly one Apple Store with stock. (The Apple store with AT&T stock was in central California; the Verizon stock was I think in Mississippi)
For the 6+, non-16gb, AT&T has likely not even delivered all orders for the 1st week (9/12 to 9/18). Aside from people who win the "shipping lottery", very few from week 2 onwards have gotten any communication, let alone what they ordered.
Now if you were just looking at the regular 6, that is a different story.
So at least for AT&T, there is still a huge backlog.
One of the MANY, not the few. Day 44 of the wait, shipping window day 7, for a 6+ SG 128gb, ordered on 9/21.

As a comparison point, I just checked the Verizon forum for posts about shipping iphone 6+ devices. They are talking about 6+ phones ordered the first week of October as shipping this week.
That puts Verizon about two weeks ahead of AT&T.
Not if you are looking for 64GB or 128GB. I think this is where the issue is. Apple figured everybody would go with the standard 16GB, so they cranked production on those. However, for just $100 more you get 64GB or 128GB for $200, when you spread that over 18 or 24 months with AT&T NEXT, it makes sense to go ahead and get the larger capacity.
I ordered 4 phones, a 64GB 6, and the others were 16GB 6/6+. The 64GB was the last one to be delivered, after 38 days. So, if you're looking for the larger capacities, you might as well be ready to wait.

Ordered my phone in store 9/20. 6+ 64GB SG. Swiped for payment in store and have approval number on receipt. Card expired right in the middle of my ship dates. AT&T won't update the card bc they can't change the order. Pending charge disappeared off statement today, order changed from back order to processing this afternoon. No charge on credit card.
Two reps say the order will cancel, three say I have nothing to worry about. Why can't I get a consistent answer? Ship days were originally 10/8-10/20, then they moved to 10/29-11/7.

I had a rep tell me if you are on the next plan it was possible they may put the charge on your bill. Anyone?
It's just too bad I signed a two year contract. And decided to go that route since it ended up being about $50 cheaper than spreading it our over the courses of any of the next plans.
Just terrible they can make changes to an order on their terms, but their consumers cant make a simple date change to a darn credit card.
I hope they don't do to you what they did to me, similar situation happened to me, except mine was 128 6+ Gold. Att cancelled my order when the card that expired wouldn't go through after the original charge had already been taken off. Long story short, they wouldn't put me back in line, I had to go and order with apple for an delivery estimate of 11/14-11/21 I had originally pre ordered on 9/12 at 5am EST and gotten a shipping window of 10/31-11/11. Still waiting on my pre ordered 6+
Stopped back by to see who was still waiting for their iPhone 6 Plus. It's worth the wait.

Ordered 9/29 SG 64GB 6+ Ship date of 11/6 - 11/17. I've been on 'Preparing to Ship' since day 1. Came back to this thread looking for good news, but it looks like I'll be lucky to get mine before 2015.
