they need to send more to the people that already ordered them before ANYONE walking in off the street to score one...
I agree. Luckily, that no longer affects me. Now gather around, everybody. It's update time!

I type this from my shiny new space gray 6 Plus! The Apple Store didn't have any 128s so I got the 64, but I doubt I'll miss the extra space too much.

Just a note for you Premier customers: if your business account is set up using a tax ID number thing instead of a social security number, the Apple Store is /not/ set up to handle that. We got around the issue by paying the full upfront cost of the phone without any plan, and then activating it (and canceling our old order) through AT&T.

Good luck to all of you who are still waiting... And for the record, that istocknow.com/live website seems to be very accurate, at least in my case. So I highly recommend canceling and getting it through Apple.

I am a long time AT & T customer who needs to give my 5S to my son. So, I ordered a new iPhone 6 last night. It is scheduled to be shipped on 11/20. Keeping my fingers crossed it is here by Monday!

Update: new iPhone 6 was shipped last night, should be here on Friday, 11/21.

This is CRAZY ! Seems like AT&T is dropping the ball. people ordering phones NOW are getting them before some people who ordered their phones in September.

Crazy ? Perhaps it's just corporate mindlessness.

I've lost count of how many posts I've seen on here of folks ordering weeks after me (and the others from mid Sept) and getting their phones delivered.

Either way, I am giving it til the end of my ship window, 11/27, then I'm gonna cancel my order, and cancel my AT&T service (2 lines) place an order with Apple directly, and go to another carrier. Done with this BS.

I just feel bad for people, I ordered Oct 11th, and I'm getting my phone tonight. I see people ordering from way back in Sept, and getting their orders cancelled or shipping dates changed, etc. And then I see people ordering from AT&T NOW, and getting their phones in 3 days, just makes no sense.

I figured I was getting my phone sooner because I ordered a 16 gb, and I know most people are ordering the 64 and 128 gb. Over the years, this is the 5th iphone I have ordered online from AT&T. I have never waited longer than a few days for a phone. (My phone is shipping from Ft. Worth TX and I am in Arkansas.)

It still isn't fair, and I hope no one thinks I was bragging about getting my phone faster. I can't imagine waiting that long.

Just got an update for my wife's iPhone 6 order through AT&T.

Iphone 6 64GB Silver:
Ordered on 11/3 - will ship within 21 - 28 business days they said
The order status had it estimated to ship anywhere from 12/3 to 12/8

I just got an email today telling me it has shipped 11/20, and fedex tracking has it expected to be delivered to me on Monday 11/24.

I think most of us who are waiting aren't particularly mad at those who have, or will soon, received their phones. I'm sure we're all just venting frustration.
It's not the fault of those folks. It's all on AT$T.

Ordered on 10/23 in an AT&T store. Estimated ship dates are 12-3 to 12-12. What a bunch of crap. I'll NEVER order another phone from AT&T. There is no rhyme or reason to when people are getting their phones. I suppose this is really Apple's fault though. They must ship phones bought on the apple website before orders from carriers. And it really makes me mad that some people are walking into Apple stores and getting one.

Ordered this Sunday, 11/16 on ATT's website.

iPhone 6 128GB Space Gray
As of 30 minutes ago, its status already changed to Shipped!

Definitely a surprise there!

Amazing I ordered the same phone on 9/27 with a shipping date of 11/5-11/14 and I am in back order hell. I spoke to a AT&T rep today and she said I should cancel my order and go to a store to buy one. I told her how can I buy one in the store when they do not have them.

You could cancel and then reorder. The shipping times have been updated. It seems like they don't care about the people who ordered in September. If phones are shipping out in 2 business days now, why would you continue to wait?

people who ordered in september

Have you guys still not gotten your phones!? Jeez. Unreal. I just got back to this thread from back in september. What have I missed!

I could but I would loose my 200 credit for my trade in of my 4S

What a Joke ATT&T

Same here

Mine as well, The estimated shipping date range for this item has changed from 10/31/14 - 11/11/14 to 12/12/14 - 12/19/14.

Funny that apple just improved their shipping estimates yesterday for the better and AT&T tacks on another Month.

What JOKE!!!

I'm not laughing.

I don't think anyone is, just amazes me that with the new shipping window, countless calls to ATT including their executive but yet it still is going to take 90 days to get a phone.

You could custom order a car and get it quicker.

We should ultimately be mad at apple for creating artificial scarcity in the first place. Maybe AT&T isn't doing a very good job of procuring units from Apple; maybe Apple deliberately withholds units from carriers. Either scenario is plausible, but reasons don't matter to customers - only results and facts. The end result for me is that I'll never order from AT&T again. In the back of my mind, something is saying "this is exactly what Apple wants. They have done this all on purpose". Another voice says "you have a lot of experience with AT&T, on the business and residential side. They repeatedly show their ineptitude in every facet of business, and you should not be surprised that they have bungled this up".
The long wait for my phone has turned me into a loquacious imbecile, turning cartwheels of imagined dialog over and over in my mind while suffering from occasional bouts of rage-induced teeth-grinding fits that probably cause my co-workers to think I've gone mad. Perhaps I have.
Meh. Just a phone and it'll be here sooner or later. (later)

I have thought about the Apple vs. AT&T conspiracy theory. I just can't believe it. I own a MacBook Pro, 2 iPads, 3 iPhones and an Apple TV. Why would Apple want to punish me just because I'm stupid enough to do business with AT&T?

I don't really know, but the evidence leads me to the conclusion that they are indeed punishing folks for ordering phones through carriers.

But like I said before, there is no way to tell if Apple is the cause or if AT&T has botched the ordering process horribly. I tend to lean towards the latter.

It's the same with all the carriers, not just AT&T. I'm with Verizon and just got delayed for a second time. Went from 10/31 to 11/21 to 12/12. I'm not really believing the 12/12 either. Ordered 10/13.

I'd not be surprised at all if Apple was withholding orders to carriers to insure supplies at their own stores.

Delays when ordering through any carrier places the blame at Apple's feet, not necessarily the carrier. It absolutely infuriates me when someone walks in an Apple store and gets the phone I've been waiting 5 weeks for. There shouldn't be a single phone shipped to a brick and mortar store when there are people that are waiting in the virtual line. It honestly doesn't make any sense, business-wise. We are guaranteed money - why stock stores when the item in question might sit for a while? In this case that might be a moot point due to the popularity of the iphone, but the scenario does nothing to bolster the confidence of those waiting.

Update!

Order iPhone 6 64gb silver @ at&t retail store on 11/8. Got shipping window 11/18-11/28.

Phone shipped on 11/20 and arriving on Monday. Hopefully sooner.
