When I dropped it and my home button on my current iPhone 5 stopped working, I dropped it again to fix it. Seriously, just hold it a foot or so above the floor and let it fall flat with the screen up.

Unfortunately, there is no home button - it had gotten a bit loose then one day jogging, it just disappeared. But thanks for the tip!

Order update:

I finally lost patience with AT&T (9/23 order for the 64GB 6+) and contacted their chat agent online. I told them that I know their standard response is not to cancel orders, but that I have seen feedback from forums that this can and has been done.

They said to contact a policy specialist to talk more about it. I was going to do this later in the day, but lo and behold, less than an hour later my order was shipped!

I'd like to think it was because I threatened to cancel, more than just being coincidence :)

Ordered my 64g Silver 6 on 10/20, had a shipping window of 11/18-11/28 and just got an email that it has shipped.

Long Time Reader, First Time Poster (LTRFTP)

So, I've been watching these forums for a while now and wanted to be added to the list of disappointed:

Ordered in-store (Corporate)
iPhone 6 Plus SG 128GB
Date: 9/20
Original Shipping dates: 10/30-11/7
Emails: only one on 11/7 stating that the demand is high
Ship to Location: Home (HI)

Unfortunately, I was in WA at the end of October and, while knowing that orders have either been shipped before or well after their given shipping dates, did not actively seek out a phone while I was there. Of course, it was only seconds after getting back to work that I found the iStockNow and iDeviceChecker websites.:mad: Oh well

PS: I only just got my account unlocked since it was originally tethered to my college email address which is now locked out. At least the MacRumors Forums CSRs can do their job, reliably and on time!

Soooooooooo I just got off the phone with the retention department. The CSR "assured" me, "Sir, I see on my end your phone should be shipped out this upcoming week".

Meanwhile my shopping window was 11/5-11/14. I don't understand how/why they can see different information than us. When I check my online status and call the 877 number both statues say Back-Ordered.

Hopefully she CAN see something different though. I just want to get my phone! It literally feels like forever. Lol first world problems, I know.

Cancel and get at Apple Store

Ordered a 6 Plus (128gb Space Grey) on September 22nd from AT&T.

My estimated window was Oct. 28 thru Nov. 10.

I have gotten two emails, one on Nov. 8 and one today Nov. 13 from AT&T stating they are not sure when inventory will be in stock and I am listed as Back-Ordered. Even though they are sending emails, I always check the wireless order status page via AT&T's website and all I have listed there is Back-Ordered.

So aggravated, I just want my phone. :'-(

I had the same order date. I gave up signed up on Tuesday for in stock notification website. I got email on Thursday that same phone as you was in stock at my local Apple Store, called AT&T cancelled my order (talked to a supervisor to reinstate my upgrade eligibility), and went to Apple Store picked up my new iPhone 6 + 128 Space Gray. End of story.

My iPhone 6 took a little longer than 7-14 BUSINESS days that was quoted but including weekends it only took about two and half weeks. Not too bad. That was for a 128 GB SG iPhone 6.

Yea if it's from Apple then it will be 7-10, my wife got hers in 7 or 8 I believe. Can't say the same for AT&T though.

That was from AT&T. My wife's and I's shipped together( hers- 64 GB SG iPhone 6). It wasn't any big issue. I wonder how they prioritize the shipments. It can't be on a first come, first serve basis.

I would like to know this as well. I am three days into my (estimated) shipping window and no changes yet in the status. Meanwhile I have read at least two other accounts of persons ordering the same device I did on the same day I did (or later) and they have already received theirs. :(

Just another data point for you guys to consider:

Order for new account placed on 11/9/2014. 2 iphone 6 ordered, 16gb gold and 64gb slate, in addition to 3 SIM cards for existing basic phones.

Original shipping window was 11/19/2014 to 12/01/2014.

Received tracking number on 11/16/2014. Expected delivery date 11/19/2014.

I bet AT&T prioritizes new customers over existing ones. With existing customers, they keep collecting the monthly service charge no matter how long your delivery takes. With new customers, they can't bill anything until the phone is activated - hence the incentive to get it out ASAP and start billing.

Ordered Sept 29. Still waiting

Ordered mine on Sept 29. TBD to my local ATT store.
Delivery date was no later than today.
Well, my order has now been put back further with no date for shipping.

I bet you are right. I am a new customer and as stated above, I ordered my iphone 6 silver 64g on 10/20 and got it yesterday.

Don't know how true that is. I don't get hit with any extra monthly service charges and I ordered 2 phones Oct 11th. Got the first phone Nov 13th.

On another subject,Oddly enough, my 128 gb Space Gray 6+, had shipping dates of 11/19 to 12/1, yet got a shipping email with tracking number TODAY (11/18). The 64gb silver 6 I ordered on the same day, Oct 11th, had shipping dates of 10/30-11/10, and got shipped 11/9 (received it 11/13). There is no rhyme or reason for this stuff guys. You'd figure the 128gb space gray 6+ would take longer to ship, but it shipped earlier than the 64gb silver 6 when you consider the shipping dates provided.

Anyone left here who ordered a 64GB SG 6+ in September. I ordered 9/24 and am still in backorder hell. I've seen people who ordered the same phone in the second half of October get delivery already....

iPhone 6 128GB Space Gray

Ordered this Sunday, 11/16 on ATT's website.

iPhone 6 128GB Space Gray
As of 30 minutes ago, its status already changed to Shipped!

Definitely a surprise there!

I ordered a 64GB SG iPhone 6 on 10/6 and it finally shipped yesterday. According to the tracking number, UPS will be delivering it tomorrow. What really ticks me off though is that my roommate ordered a 64GB Gold iPhone 6 this past Friday, and he received his phone yesterday. He walks into the same AT&T store orders an iPhone, and gets it literally the next business day.

I'm not happy with AT&T. I placed an order Thursday, 11/14 for a space gray 64GB iPhone 6 and my estimated shipping date is 11/25-12/2. As of yesterday the website shows that the phones are shipping in 2 business days!! They're shipping phones out of order. I know someone who ordered on Sunday, 11/16 and their phone shipped today. I should have waited a few days I guess!!

iPhone 6/ 16/ SG

I am a long time AT & T customer who needs to give my 5S to my son. So, I ordered a new iPhone 6 last night. It is scheduled to be shipped on 11/20. Keeping my fingers crossed it is here by Monday!

Ordered 9/23, still nothing, still backordered, ridiculous. Called and cancelled finally... it's been real. I'll walk into the Apple store and get one at my leisure, I'll never understand how they botched this so badly.

Just get it at the Apple Store

I originally ordered from AT&T on 9/29. It was supposed to ship between 11/6 and 11/17. Instead, I got an email on 11/14 saying that the order was cancelled and giving 4 possible reasons why. I called and it turned out my bank had changed my debit card and I neglected to tell AT&T, so they cancelled. I fixed the problem and AT&T assured me that the phone would ship by 11/17. Received an email from AT&T on 11/17 saying that they would ship between 12/16 and 12/26. I called to fuss and threatened to take my business (4 devices) to another carrier.

On 11/18 (today) I went to the Apple Store in Pleasanton, CA. They had the 6 Plus, Space Grey, 64 GB storage in stock at the store. 30 minutes later, I had a new iPhone.

Yay Apple, boo AT&T!

Ordered 6+ 128gb SG on October 11. Shipping window 11/19-12/1 starts today. I am NOT expecting it to ship within that window. This could end with me becoming a Sprint customer after 18 years with AT&T.

Yea, they are screwing us both Apple and ATT.

Hummmmm, I think you hit the nail right on target. Also anybody who has been grandfathered for unlimited data gets a back seat in getting a new iPhone. Even apple won't sell you one or Att. Very good point.

Yep, I ordered the same phone, main difference is my order date is 9/19 and have a shipping window ending 11/27. At this point I'm pretty sure you'll get your phone before me, just because I've lost all confidence that ordering through AT&T is a first-in-first-out affair. So it looks like I might very well be canceling today and getting a 64gb one from the Apple Store instead.

I dunno. I ordered mine on 9/28 and it changed from "estimated to ship" to backordered. I have a feeling I should just cancel it and wait for the iPhone 7.

The most annoying part is that I KNOW there are AT&T stores and Apple stores that occasionally get a 128GB iPhone 6 Plus in and sold immediately - they need to send more to the people that already ordered them before ANYONE walking in off the street to score one...
