AT&T Pre-order status

I think it's showing backorder because ATT doesn't have any 6+ phones in stock from Apple yet, but will arrive tomorrow or tuesday. The group that says backordered will be the first on the list to get phones assigned to them.

Mine still says 10/2 and my order confirmation time is 11:52pm. I've yet to see any change to backordered.

I wish. I've tried about 20 times. I click that button, it asks me to confirm that I want to cancel, then when I click confirm, it kicks me out to the order status page that asks for my order number and zip code. Repeat. No email confirming the cancellation and the order is still active.

I made a cardboard cutout to test between the two sizes of iPhone 6. The 4.7" isn't much of a change over the 5S and wouldn't be worth the upgrade. The 5.5" dimensions were not as "big" as I thought. Plus, it'll replace my iPad Mini 2 that I sold earlier in this summer. Yes, it'll look a little silly and will feel awkward at first, but it'll be great as iPhone/iPad in one form factor.
 
I pre-order on the AT&T website at 2:44am EST on 9/12, and I'm pretty sure I was among the first ones (I haven't seen anyone with an earlier time). Ordered 2 iphone 6, 1 16gb gold, 1 64gb sg.

I received a text from AT&T at 9:00am on 9/12, saying:

Congratulations! We have processed your order xxxxxxxxxxxx and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment. You will be notified when your order ships. Got to <www.att.com/wirelessorderstatus> to check order status.

Since then, and without a change, both phones have showed on the order status page as "preparing to ship" with a shipping date of "09/17/14 - 09/18/14" and an expected delivery of 9/19.

Even though I was among the first to pre-order, I do not have a tracking number yet, and nothing shows in My choice. My guess though is that we'll all ship around the same time.

ordered a 6+ 64gb SG at 2:40am EST backordered 10/13 to 10/22 it used to show 10/2 to 10/13 until today

Got my conf email at 2:43am est
 
for the love of God. Lol you iPhone 6 people are definitely getting your phones on Friday or before if you ordered at 12 A.M or closer to around that time. it's the iPhone 6 plus people that should be freaking out right now.

Thank you. I don't even know why the 6 users are on here, if only to brag. You're all obviously getting your phones on Friday unless you ordered at noon.

I want to hear updates from 6+ users, which so far is getting next to nothing on shipping numbers.
 
Finally able to call the 877 help number.

Ehhhh even though my status on ATT.com says "preparing for shipment" with 10/13-10/22 dates, my 6+ is on backorder according to the automated message.

Dammmmmn it!

Nope. Not there either.

I think the lesson is: as far as shipping info goes, it does not really matter at this point how early you pre-ordered (at least for the non-plus). I think the info we're seeing is a bit random and I'm sure everyone in that first batch, whether they already have a tracking number or not, will get their phone on 9/19.

Just sign up for fedex delivery and if you see your stuff then they made the order complete if not just wait till monday or tuesday
