I think the lesson is: as far as shipping info goes, it does not really matter at this point how early you pre-ordered (at least for the non-plus). I think the info we're seeing is a bit random and I'm sure everyone in that first batch, whether they already have a tracking number or not, will get their phone on 9/19.[/QUOTE]
very true very true and also this girl i know that work at tmobile told me that all orders that have at 9/?? date will be delivered on 9/19 aka launch day

Anyone else trying to cash in their old phone? Being that the deadline says "Sept 31", are we expected to be without a phone for several weeks? DId anyone else see that they were only getting $100 as the possible cash for iphone 4s?

I think AT&T has done at least ONE thing right so far this year. I thought I was going to have the same problem - I'm on a grandfathered unlimited domestic and international data plan. For the 4s and 5 releases I had such a headache getting the plan added back on that I went into the store on release day for the 5s.
This year on 9/12 when I placed my preorder on att.com, it gave me the option to select an unlimited data plan and then even gave me a confirmation question asking if I wanted to keep my domestic/international version. A nice surprise...I was ready for several hours of my life to be wasted on the phone again to fix it. Oops. Famous last words.
I'm in the 10/13-10/22 shipment for a sg 6+ 128gb. My status changed briefly to "backorder" earlier today, then back to 10/13 - 10/22. Order placed on 09/12 at 6:30AM ET.
I'm still saying wait it out a bit, but I would consider a go phone from AT&T. There's a small restocking fee if you return it, but ultimately it would hold you over for a month.
Can someone tell me why some peoples orders are changing dates? Or is it people are playing games with people's minds? My is still in processing.... and I ordered Sep 12th 2:14 am through apple store app on my iphone. I got shipping 7-10 days ... delivery on Oct 1-7th.
I have a business account so I have no choice but to order through AT&T Premier. I placed my order on 9/12 at around 12:13am PST. I got the order confirmation email saying I would get my phone withing 14-21 business days.
At around 4am, I got an email saying the order is on hold because of my credit card (as we all know this happend to a lot of people.
After trying all day the 12th and 13th, I finally was able to get a hold of premier support today. I was able to update my credit card info and have the order go through.
Downside is that my order will arrive around 11/9-11/27 when I track my order....Pretty frustrating.
Anybody else with a business premier line? Just curious to see how your order is.

I'm still holding to my theory that the majority of the 6+ phones are not in the states yet and inventory isn't guaranteed. As much as it sucks to have a shipping estimate of 1+ month from now, it's in AT&T's/Apple's best interest to under promise and over deliver (no pun intended). I'm not convinced I'll get mine on the 19th (ordered at 12:05am PDT, 6+ 64GB SG) but I do think I'll get it well ahead of my current 10/13-10/22 range.
I bet it's because people are canceling orders or ATT is getting a better idea of what they have in stock. I'm not playing any games. My date truly did change. I'm not sure if I can trust it but it did change.

Since then, my order status on the premier site says "Preorder Processing. Expected Ship Date: Pending confirmation." I've been checking it all weekend but no change. My credit card meanwhile was charged just $1 temp charge.
If something went wrong I'm gonna be really PO'd. My preference was to order directly from apple but the site wasn't cooperating. I wish I had just waited a few hours now. Ugh.

Just FYI, I just checked the standard AT&T order status page (which you can get to from the main AT&T site after logging in to your account.)
My iPhone 6+, sg, 16gb shows a status of "PREPARING TO SHIP" and when looking toward the specifics, it says

I think tomorrow/tuesday will be the sweet spot for actual ship days. Ive said probably 47 times before Ill worry when thursday night comes and I don't see a tracking number.

I'm with ATT and the date moved from expected 10/13-10/21 to 10/02-10/13. Hopefully it keeps moving up!

MyATT and ATT Premier have the same order ID. Is it the same for you?
Both MyATT and ATT Premier order statuses show my mom's name on both billing and shipping address instead of my name...

I ordered my 128GB 6+ Space Gray at 12:02 am PST and I have a shipping date of November2--27th!! My original confirmation email says it will ship within 14-21 days like many others on this board, but I actually received an earlier email telling me it would be shipped in 7-10 days.
I WILL tell you that the same thing happened to me when I pre ordered my IPhone 5 and I got it on the delivery day.
Realistically I don't see that happening with those of us that ordered the IPhone 6 Plus, but I am really getting the shaft if my delivery date is accurate.
Hopefully it will be updated in the next day or two--I remember the status changing daily with the 5.

It all depends on when I receive the product. My date already changed once... it may change again.
SO I was using multiple computers and sites the night the pre order became available. I casually had ATT's page open but was expecting to use Apple's site to place my order. However around 1136 my ATT page went live and I was able to preorder the iPhone 6 plus 128 space grey. I got a confirmation email time stamped at 1140. However, my shipping date had always been 10/2-10/13. The next day I received the congratulatory text message like many others, today my order status changed to back order and just about 20 minutes ago it changed one more time to the original shipping date of 10/2-10/13......I'm. not overly hopefully to get a phone on launch day even though I was able to place my order a solid 20 minutes before official launch time. DAMN YOU ATT
I wonder if the different sizes make a huge difference. I ordered the 64+ and mine moved up but it seems the 128+ people are getting their dates shifted around a bit. I guess they didn't expect the demand for them as much? Also, I suppose color is a big deal. Everyone seems to be ordering space grey as well. I got silver. Time will tell I suppose.
that's really my complaint about this whole process, the lack of transparency. And in all fairness that is probably as much Apple's fault as ATT.
