AT&T Pre-order status

AT&T Preorder

I placed an order for an iPhone 6, 64gb in Space Gray early afternoon on Friday. Also went through AT&T Premier. The delivery estimate on the email was anywhere from 10/13-10/31.

Spent over an hour on the phone trying to get through to customer service to find out about updated delivery estimates. When someone finally came on the line, her words were "we don't know, and her attitude was "we don't care". Just to make things a little more annoying, AT&T Premier won't take my standard log in and won't let me create a new account. So I can't just check with online customer service.

I checked the three local Apple Stores for availability. None of them expect to have any units available this weekend after pre-orders.

Chalk it up to just another piss poor Apple product launch.

I could but on my account it means I need to pay the full price as well as signing a 2-year contract. Which doesn't make sense at all.
 
Here's my story:

I stayed awake until 2am Central to place an order with Apple for a 64GB Silver Plus, and as we all know the apple store was not working. I tried to order via the apple store apps on both my iphone and ipad, but neither worked. It wouldn't let me add it to my cart. 3:30am Central rolls around and I start to panic that I won't get an order in soon enough to get it on 9/19. So, despite my lack of desire to order from AT&T, I was able to get their site to load and place an order on both lines of my account by 3:45am Central, so I just did it and went to sleep. My Silver 64GB plus is now scheduled to ship 10/2-10/10 and my wife's 64gb Space Grey Plus is scheduled to ship 10/13-10/22. I'm hoping both of them will change to 9/19 soon, but we'll see.

I wonder though, if it turns out I don't get mine on 9/19 from AT&T, can I go to the apple store that morning and stand in line for one even though I've got an order placed with AT&T already?
 
Just out of curiousity what is a Premier business customer? My order went through them as well. Are you a Premier Business Customer when your company offers a discount on your monthly bill?

Premier are accounts assigned to small & medium business corporate accounts. Not sure it makes a difference whether you get a discount or not.
 
I ordered a 128GB Silver iPhone 6 on Sunday at 10AM EDT and my Expected Ship Date is 09/23/2014 To 10/02/2014 Status is still Preorder Processing. FWIW
 
I am so glad I am not a customer rep for AT&T at this time. I'd go nuts and probably would get fired after snapping at some of you.
 
Preordered through AT&T at 12:04 PST, email confrimation came through at 1:47 AM. Email body said phone is expected to arrive on or around 9/19. BUT:

Clicking the order status link in that email lists the order status as "pending" with an expected ship date of "pending confirmation."

I have a $1 charge "pending" on my credit card from AT&T.

There is no trace of the order when I log in to my account on AT&T.

Should I be worried something is up? I'm not so much worried about getting my phone on Friday, just about getting it eventually. It sounds like my "pending" order status isn't the norm, as most of you are posting delivery dates. I also find it odd the order doesn't show up under "My Orders" from the "myAT&T" tab on att.com, and still says my number is "eligible for an upgrade"

I work for a Fortune 500 company and have Premier status (which I didn't know until this iPhone 6 order). I just knew I got a percentage off my monthly bill.

So it's not just small/medium accounts.
 
anyone gotten another bump from sunday??? in the right direction???...i went from 10-13 - 10-22.....to 10-02 - 10-13....anyone seen a second bump? i wanna know if apple's made any adjustments to anyone's orders since yesterday.

Nope, I'm still at 10/2 - 10/13 for the 6+. It makes me kind of sad because that's the original ship date that I've had all along, which makes me think that I was truly one of the first to order, but yet several dozens of people who seemed to have ordered later and had later ship dates are now all coming up with the same 10/2 - 10/13 date. What about those of us who ordered a 6+ and originally had the 10/2 date? :confused: Bump us up, too! Yes, I'm jealous :p

Maybe by some miracle we'll all get our phones on release day... somehow, I doubt that :( [for the 6+... it seems like all the 6 users are getting a release day launch, no problem]

Yup, I got bumped from 9/23 - 10/2 to 9/17 - 9/18.

I was wondering about this. This was my first time doing the purchase myself through AT&T. I went to att.com, went through the motions, checked eligibility, logged in, and placed the order. I got an email confirmation roughly an hour later from Premier (and our account is part of some FAN group so I guess that makes sense from what I've been reading?). I can check from both the "business" and the "normal" AT&T order status pages, but the business page lists a different order number (ID?) than the normal page. I also can't seem to check order status by simply logging in.

It all seems so confusing... but my estimated ship date is the 17/18th so I'm not complaining (too much). I'm certainly not going to tempt fate by summoning the AT&T gods that could "accidently" change my order in such a way I have to wait until 2015 before I get my shiny new iPhone.

Does the fact that the full charge has been taken out of my bank account vs a $1 hold charge, or a tax only charge, matter in the slightest?

probably not. it just means youre getting your phone...eventually

and just to add to the same thing everybody is saying.

Ordered space grey iphone 6 128gb around 430am EST (lost track of time playing destiny) received a confirmation immediately, and then a second saying i will receive it on the 19th around 9am that morning. ive been checking status daily and still the same, ship date 9/17-18.
 
Question: I'm toying with grabbing a 128 SG iPhone 6 and I don't want to lose my grandfathered unlimited data or text. If I do that I might as well up and move to T-Mobile and sell my AT&T account. I have a 20% discount through work and hit this page while going through the two year upgrade via Premiere:

I don't understand the whole "Preparing to ship" status with expected dates 2-6 weeks away. How the Hell long does it take AT&T to prepare shipment?!?!

Just a guess but it probably means as soon as inventory is allocated, it will change to shipping.

my dad did, he is on some ancient data plan (i was on the same and stupidly changed when i upgraded to the 5) youre better off calling and seeing if the rep will upgrade without changing your plan. its possible...if you find a rep that isnt stuck on reading a script. hes been upgrading since the 3g and has kept his old plan.

I ordered the exact same phone except on Saturday and got that same ship days and status on the premier site (wireless.att.com). However, my status on AT&T.com is "Preparing to ship".
