Ha.....so after everything that happened yesterday... I managed to make it an entire day on 2 1/2 hours of sleep. Placed two pre orders yesterday morning around 3:15 when all said and done. Wifes order ended up going through around 7. I got an email from bank asking to verify charges ( 2 x $317 ) for fraud. I approved both charges. My order was still pending. Last night.. get an email from Premier around 9:25 that my order was pended because they were having problems with my card. Called the 800 number and used the automated system to fix credit card info. Everything goes through. Look at order status...now dates of 10/13-10/31. I look at my bank account .... 2 separate authorizations. $317 again and then another for $299.... they took out $616 last night on authorizations in addition to the $317 earlier. So i asked to get connected to premier representative and they are having "technical difficulties" for the remainder of their available time.


Meanwhile....i can still go to apple store online this morning and pre order for guaranteed delivery on 9/19..... WTF

Received: Confirmation email at 0456 EST confirming order stating it would arrive on or around the 19th.

AT&T's site: Will ship 09/23 - 10/02 "preparing to ship"

Same deal for me, exact same but I ordered mine 0430 EST. 0515 EST I received my thanks for your order email that said delivery 9/19. Received a text at 2037 EST saying order processed, checked my order status and got the same delivery estimate.

Wonder what changed? Wonder if/hope it will change back?

Apple store is still 9/19 but the plus is three to four weeks. Less supply and lots o demand

That's the same thing I have...same model exactly. I just hope that is some kind of placeholder shipping date that updates when things start to flow. Otherwise, October is gonna be a loooong month. I ordered as soon as they started taking orders, so I wonder if our model is in particularly short supply?
 
I ordered a 16GB Silver iPhone 6+ through at&t at about 2:45 AM EST (11:45 PST) and got a confirmation email at 2:47 exactly. Original email and when I ordered said 14-21 business days. On the online portal, I'm in the 10/2-10/13 range. That's the highest range I've seen of anyone who ordered the plus through at&t so I'm hoping I'm a part of the release day batch. And also, yesterday around 4:00 EST I got a text from at&t with a "congrats! we have processed your order [order number] and it's been sent to warehouse for shipment". So far, its looking good :cool:
 
I've never received a text from AT&T but I did get an email. I'm really thinking about canceling the order with AT&T and doing it through apple but idk how quick the system updates
 
Had my preorder done with AT&T before the preorders were even supposed to go live and my order status now gives me an expected ship date between November 9th and November 27th.

Any of you guys who ordered after me and complaining about your early October ship dates want to trade?
That happened to my husband's order which he placed BEFORE he placed mine that's supposedly coming in October. They are both 128GB Space Gray 6+ models on the Business Premier account.

I can't understand how mine gets an October date when it was placed after his order and he gets stuck with mid to late November. Looking at other people's dates and times ordered it looks like we got bumped to the back of the line despite ordering identical models. It's weird.
 
I cancelled my preorder via ATT for a iPhone 6 64GB and ordered it through Apple for 9/19 delivery

I agree that our model might be in short supply hence the long wait. But if i knew at that time of ordering this info, i could have stucked it out with continuing to try to order at the apple website because at that time shipping was estimated at 7-10 business days for our model. I just couldnt push through the final step of th order thats why I went to AT&t.
And just like you said, October definitely will be a looong month indeed.

called 611 and spoke to a representative to cancel the order even though it was a premier account.

Went to apple.com and was able to instantly place my upgrade order (kept att rep on the phone just in case)

Called bank to tell them that a 4th charge for ~317 was not fraud(just in case) explained to them the situation and they told me if they could verify from ATT that the authorizations should be cancelled that they can remove them right now

Called ATT back... verified that pre order was cancelled merged in with rep from bank still on other call and was able to get $617 available to me again instantly!!



TODAY IS SHAPING UP TO BE GREAT!!! (much better than how I felt yesterday) and guaranteed myself a launch day unit.
 
I was disappointed when I saw the 10/13/14 ship date but now as I read this thread, I guess I should be glad it isn't November.

also..if you check the order status from the first premier email on a desktop (or desktop view) where it asks for order number and zipcode.. it will pull up a cancel button

Then I get a confirmation email at 10am eastern saying 10-31 to 11-11. My card has been charged, but I haven't gotten a text or anything. I guess they sold out in less than 8 minutes.

honestly..this happens every year... i wouldn't be too worried about dates..they always work out... they just have everything on backorder... so when they associate your order with an actual phone it will change.

I furiously called AT&T about it and they said my actual ship date is September 19th, and that the ship dates in the e-mails are computer generated and not the actual date. They also told me half the calls they were getting were about that same problem. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

yeah like I said... all the dates will switch over to 19th for the most part..they just have to associate your order with an actual phone... until then everything shows backordered... i was more concerned that I got double charged for a single phone and had an opportunity to make it easy for myself...i kept the other upgrade with ATT
