FWIW...

I pre-ordered two iPhone 6 128 GB phones and online, they both show as "Preparing to Ship" but one is 9/17/14-9/18/14 and the other is 9/23/14-10/02/14.

I have spoken to and chatted with a few different ATT reps who all say that both devices should arrive on 9/19.

The automated number on the order status page (877.782.8870) tells me the first order has been processed and the second is backordered.

However, when I spoke to a rep, she gave me another number to try - 866.391.0749 and it tells me that both orders have been sent to the warehouse for shipment, which agrees with what the reps have been telling me.

Anyway, the second number seems to have more info than the first, at least in my case.

Have you tried signing up for UPS MyChoice? See my post from the last page, took me 5 minutes and I got to see my tracking # and delivery date of 9/19. It's the only way I could get tracking info, my AT&T status shows the same as yours...ship date of 9/17-9/18 delivery on 9/19. I was a little concerned seeing some people reporting getting 'bumped' out of their 9/19 date, but with the UPS utility, you get a tracking # and it verifies your delivery date if there's a concern. Just an option

When you track it, it should show the Reference Number(s).

Would you mind letting us know what piece of info they're using for the number(s)? (myAT&T order number, AT&T Premier order number, upgrade line phone number, main account line phone number, email address)

If it's a phone number, does it have dashes or parentheses?

It's none of those for me (and I don't have premier). I have three reference numbers, one is a 20-digit #, one is a 9-digit #, and one is 15-alphanumeric (with two dashes). I don't recognize any of them.

I placed the orders minutes apart but the rep told me that the second order did not go through for some reason, so she pushed it using another system and guaranteed that it would arrive on 9/19 as well. Let's hope so!

I really should resign myself to the fact that the Plus won't be arriving anytime soon.
 
iPhone 6, 64GB, Space Grey was originally said to ship in "7-14" days, then 10/13-10/31 and as of two seconds ago 9/23-10/02. Do I still have a chance of it getting even closer to the 19th or is this as good as I'm going to get?

Mine consists of the following format in the Reference line:

Line 1: 20 digit number, starts with 0000 - # doesn't match anything related to my account or order

Line 2: 9 digit number - # doesn't match anything related to my account or order

Line 3: 13 alpha-numeric in the following format "A123-BC-4567890" - # doesn't match anything related to my account or order
 
just cuz im bored at work. i called both of those automated numbers and both say have been sent to the warehouse and ill get an email when its shipped.

corresponding with the site saying 9/17-18 ship date.
 
I tried the 866 number as well and it isn't working for me either. The optimist in me thinks that is because my order is in flux and it doesn't have the new date yet. The other part makes me think it just has no idea when I'll get this phone.

Yes ! kindly help the ones who are unable to get any tracking info from UPS mychoice by giving the specific reference number you are getting while checking your shipment details.

What time did you order? :apple:

Around 8 or 9 am Eastern. I then had to call the next day and verify I was who I said I was and then got a confirmation email. I just tried both automated numbers. 877 didn't know where my order was, but 866 said it's been processed and sent to a warehouse for shipment
 
Because the E-Mail with that delivery date came last Friday. The order status has yet to change except for yesterday when it went all blank and said "processing". If FedEx or UPS doesn't have it by now then it can't look good...

No, its just processing. Be patient.

Anyone figure out what time AT&T updates their servers? I know my bank rolls over pending to posted around midnight. I've used my chose and fedex apps for a while now and there sometimes is a lag between label made and server updates (deliveries are usually ~3 hours behind)

I've order my 4 and 5 on presale day. 4 was though artiste and 5 through apple, unless the 866 is is retrieving information that is 4+ years old, I'm stumped.

Just for kicks I hopped on the old iPhone 5 preorder thread and it was like I was reading this current thread. Same issues. I have a feeling if we got in early enough, we will be playing with new gadgets on Friday!
 
has anyone had their order number changed? I ordered 64 plus spg at 12:31 pst. got order confirmation email with the original order number then the second email status update. shows a different order number. the order number actually has my phone number in it with letters.

Mine is showing a 10/2 - 10/13 shipping estimate. it toggled yesterday from that date to back ordered then back to 10/2 - 10/13.

Basically no one knows what the UPS Reference Numbers correspond to yet. Thanks you two for posting the format for us! I wonder how they're coming up with them.
