One other note with canceling online orders is that once the order is processed your contract date gets changed to that date. Canceling the order may not mean that the contract date resets immediately so you may go to Apple on Friday and not be able to purchase at discounted price
I did order late though. 5PM EST.
I hate to bring it up again, but all of my orders placed at or around 3AM EST were cancelled. So yeah.
Went online this morning about 5:30 and pre ordered the iPhone 6.

How do you see when your order was entered into AT&T. I know round about what time I ordered, but I am trying to find a solid number somewhere that shows what time they 'think' that I ordered.
So I ordered 2 128 Iphone 6 at 2 am central (12 pacific). Got the email saying that I should expect delivery on the 19th. Did the "My Ups" deal that folks suggested and "wella", there is my tracking number with a departure scan from Memphis with delivery on the 19th. Awesome.
So here is my question...I was sleepy and had them deliver the phones to my house. I didn't think about the fact that no one would be home until about 3:30 and as of now, I don't know of any neighbor will be at home. I can't re-route delivery where I work (Downtown Nashville) from where I live (Franklin about 30 min away). So I have an option of delivery, for an additional $5, to a UPS Access Point. Has anyone done this? My problem is when it is normally delivered to the Access Point (a UPS store). Should I have them deliver it to a UPS Store near where I live and risk them closing before I can get home from work (I work to 6 atleast, but often well past) or do I have them deliver it to a Access point close to my work, but then risk having to hang around downtown until they deliver it. I know I've waited until 7 or 8 sometimes on UPS deliveries at home.
Any advice?

I know that is what time I placed the order. Confirmation message came in at 5:58AM
I have one order slated on MY UPS, but ordered 2 phones and the shipping weight is 1.20 lbs. My assumption is they are sending both phones on one order.
In my experience the shipping dates are usually correct.
What sucks is that preorders get pushed to the back of the line and people who go to the store on release day will likely get a phone while preorders wait days...weeks...months..
They can increase sale counts that way. Count sales for inventory that doesn't exist yet. (Presales) and count the sales for in store sales.
I not saying no preorders will get filled on opening day, but I'm guessing most won't. Especially 6 pluses.
I woke up at 1:52am Central Time and then promptly set my phone down and went back to sleep until 2:57am. I placed my order via AT&T because I used NEXT and ordered my 6+ 128 and my original ship time was 14-21 days. My email confirmation came with a 21-28 days. I logged in to find my expected ship dates as October 31st - November 11th. As of yesterday it was updated to October 13th - 22nd which seems to be what most 6+ orders are seeing. I would be shocked to see any carrier pre-orders for the 6+ delivered Friday and I expect the only 6+ purchases will be made in store day of launch. I think all our 6+ phones will travel over in a few weeks on the same plane from China.
Yeah.. They still have plenty of supply for 'some' of the configurations of the 6. And several people 'bailed' on their online orders and are standing in line Friday. So that reallocated some supply as well!
Well if you remember the original rumors for release time was about 1 month later for the 6+
I placed an order at 11:40 PST on 9/11 for a 6+ silver. My first status said 10/2-10/13 and then changed to 10/13-10/22 on Sunday. Very frustrating that I ordered 20 minutes before the site was supposed to go live and I won't get my phone until the end of October

Just moved into a new construction condo and UPS has my address listed as commercial, I am unable to find a tracking number. Bummer. Oh well, I am just going to have a little faith in AT&T. Never really trusted their wireless department, but having UVERSE now has given me a little hope. Best of luck everyone, and remember deep breaths - we will get our phones soon enough. Fingers crossed for the 19th though

I ordered 4 different phones for different lines on our plan. 1 of those was 128gb 6+ Silver. That phone listed as 10/13-10/22 as well. Order was finalized by 3:45 am (EST)... and was the last of the 4 orders I placed (thats the timestamp on the PDF I made of the order confirmation page)
I think this is the 'second bucket' of 6+ deliveries, with those who ordered between 2:45 - 3:15 EST getting shipment dates of 10/2-10/13 and then our bucket of 10/13-10/22.
