Talked to AT&T again today (about my plan, not the iPhone) but we did bring up the iPhone. The woman said my 10/2-10/13 date (was originally pushed back to 11/1-11/11) is at the far end of delivery and that I should expect it much sooner than the 10/2 date.

exactly what the lady i spoke to about my order said. She said all systems were messed up and they were giving worst case scenario times. Just curious how long did you wait on hold before you got ahold of someone?
 
Just checked my order status, dates stayed the same 10/2-10/13 but the "Last Updated" has changed to "Last Updated: Sep 16, 2014"

Bad sign of launch day delivery?

Don't Freak Out if Shipping Date Doesn't Say 9/19
I am seeing everyone freaking out about their emails or order status saying the estimate is 14, 21 or greater days out. Don't freak out, Don't cancel your orders, otherwise you will get delayed.



Historically speaking, those days are estimates based upon the amount of phones AT&T estimates being delivered from Apple.



If you ordered your phones right at 12AM PST/3AM EST (some were even able to order 15 minutes early including myself because AT&T had it up early) you will most likely get it on launch day.



Last year with the launch of the 5s, there were so many posts in this forum with everyone complaining about the same issue. The majority of all the orders had also said the delivery date would after the launch date and they were indeed delivered on delivery date.





The important thing to do is keep an eye out for the Order Status next week. Don't freak out if you see it stuck on Processing on Tuesday or Wednesday. For those orders that get delivered on launch date, you should see them change on Thursday (it might be late Thursday or even Friday morning early) to reflect SHIPPED then it will have a tracking number.



Everyone needs to understand that there are millions of phones being ordered and everyone at Apple and AT&T are working very hard to get all these fullfilled and they will get done and you will be a happy camper when you get your phone next Friday. Because of all this volume, the order status will be delayed and not updated in real time. I think those order status get batched or update once or twice a day etc.

Minutes at most. I have called 3 times today, been having hell with my plans pricing and trying to get it fixed, and the longest wait for me was 5 minutes.
 
I'm sure they lied to me but i called apple just to see if they were going to receive any phones for purchase on release day seeing as it said pick up in stores on 9/19 on the website and he told me only preorders were gonna be at stores not new purchases

yea has to be a lie. especially coming from an actual apple retailer.

try your local att. every1 that i went says they will have stock for walk-ins. everybody at my job is going to the Att store close to the job and picking up before work, and ive always had more luck at the store vs apple since most people run to apple first. (last year i actually left the applstore line when i heard the att across the street only had 10 people waiting at 7:50 when they opened at 8am)

im going to be so jealous while i wait for mine to be delivered later that day lol.
 
just got off phone with premier customer support...she told me that my order has already been completed and ready to ship even though my EST is 10-13/10-22...it's an 6+ Space Gray 128 GB ordered 3:31 am 09/12...she told me that i would have my phone friday....so that's something i guess....also i see no info on the UPS tracker
 
FWIW, i just called the 1-877-782-8870 ATT number and entered my info to the automated system and it said "sorry could not find your order" needless to say after I recovered from passing out, I spoke with an actual advisor and he was adamant that I would get my phone on the 19. (currently I'm showing a 10/13/-10/22 shipping date, and I ordered the iPhone 6+ 64 SG 5 at 2:55am EST) He said the shipping dates are very conservative and are done so they can't get yelled at/sued etc. I gave him my other order number for my account and he said that would also be on the 19. He said I should expect a tracking number by wed or Thursday at the latest.

Im skeptical of this info, but I honestly gave him so many opportunities to soften his stance on the 19th release date but he did not. So....heres hoping he is right.

damn your lucky. I had a problem with my credit card (because i stupidly typed in wrong zip code) and i couldnt get ahold of premier at all on friday, waited 50 minutes and gave up on saturday and finally got ahold of them after another 30 minute wait on sunday. Needed to call them again yesterday and waited another 25 min. You better believe I Made sure i asked everything i needed to know that my order was all set and just waiting for shipment lol
 
Due to a shipping address snafu, had to cancel yesterday and reorder this morning. Proposed ship dates between mid-October and early November.

That's fine.

The delivery estimate rose a couple of days, but it's nothing in the grand scheme of things; although I will look forward to sacrificing the Go flip phone I got as a temporary replacement when the 6 arrives. :D

The only time I get fidgety with ship and delivery dates is when I buy a new Mac as that requires taking at least a day off to make sure everything is working.

Hope that bodes well for me then, too... I ordered the same phone at ~3:10am PST.
 
I have the exact same status from UPS. I ordered two phones (iPhone 6 128GB), but only see one MyUPS notification. The weight is 1.30 lbs just like yours. How many phones did you order?

(Just not sure if both phones I ordered are in same shipment).

I just have one phone, I've seen a lot of people here posting 1.3 for a single. Sounds like you are getting two shipments, and perhaps the other one just hasn't updated to the MyChoice? Don't know. But because this is a 'staged' or 'planned' delivery effort made between AT&T/UPS for the delivery of these on Friday, they are probably just using pre-determined weight labels and slapping them on boxes. You might get both in the same box. :eek:

I would expect you'd be doing cartwheels knowing your phone might be delivered a month earlier than expected. The tone of your email sounded pretty dismissive of the AT&T rep you were talking to. Smug even. LOL :apple:

I hope so too. I ordered a 128 gig 6+ Gold and 128 gig 6+ space gray one around 3:05 am EST and one about 3:07 am EST. The gold has an estimate of Oct 12-28 and the gray Oct 2-12

Where does it say "last updated"? i cant see that anywhere on the page I'm looking at on ATT.
 
Man there's going to be a ****storm of calls to AT&T on 9/19 if the first wave preorders aren't delivered on that day. I really hope that AT&T customer service aren't trying to blow people off by making empty promises about launch day delivery. It will be a PR disaster if they are.
 
It will be a PR disaster if they are.

I agree their phones will be blowing up, but PR disaster, never. Only way is if NO ONE received a phone on Friday, which ain't gonna happen. I can nearly guarantee that no major media outlet will be running out looking for people promised delivery on Friday and they didn't get one. Response from the average American, "you should have ordered quicker/sooner/faster"

yea mine has shown those date. no tracking, no mychoice

FWIW between yesterday and today. tracking has changed from "pending shipment" to "preparing to ship" and back and fourth several times. im done refreshing lol.

Honestly i've had a terrible experience with my preorder this time around. I'm going through apple in 2 years when contract is up and iphone 7 is out. as i said previously i waited on hold for so long for 3 different days, when i fixed my credit card info they said i would keep my spot in line where i pre ordered phone then next day i was moved to showing i ordered 2 days later and live chatted with someone who told me that yes even if i just had a small payment problem my time would get moved to end of line even though i was told it wouldnt. so then called and waited forever again ready to cancel order and the person told me that i was actually still in my original spot and everything is just whacky. I swear every different person you talk to tells you something different. Should be pretty plain and simple the rules and how things work.
