My 'sacrifice' arrived today (iPhone 8 64GB gold). $210 shipped on eBay.

verified it takes calls, and all functions work. No cracks.

Put in IMEI on trade in site, and coming up $100 wooo

Got a nice little thing to trade in tomorrow.

Even if for whatever reason they didnt take it, I think I'd live if I had to use an iPhone 8 as a backup (its jailbreakable forever since A11 too) and trade in my SE2, but keeping my SE 2 was obviously the goal from the start since its a re-packaged iPhone 11.

This is not true. The iphone 12 pro is eligible for the full $800 in credits. This is literally on the ATT homepage:

This is in the trade in details. I said an iPhone 12 Pro 256gb. the price puts you over the max, so you will only get a $700 trade in. The 12 Pro 128gb, would be $800 trade in.

i interpreted that fine print example as an 12 mini though which only ever qualified for $700 (same with max)

no 12 pro is 850

but if what you’re saying is true, sucks for 12 pro 256
People. It wouldn’t surprise me either

The trade in dollars are not affected by the price of what one buys unless it is less than $800.

Nah. When I entered my information for a 12 pro, and then entered my trade information (iPhone X), my payment amount was $6.67 which is exactly $200/30. You get the $800 on the 12 and the 12 pro, period.

A 12 Pro 256gb puts you over the max at $36.64/mo. for 30 mo. or the 512gb at $43.30/mo. I don't now, but that is how I interpreted it. Maybe someone can verify with ATT?

Was that for a iPhone 12 Pro 128gb? Because that would be $800 trade in. I was talking about 256gb or 512gb

Yes. Well above in your example pic, that doesn’t seem to even pertain to this offer, it is apparently suggesting “$850” or higher phones only get $700 in credits.

AT&T has been very clear on which phones get $800 and which get $700. I think you either misinterpreted what you were reading or reading something that was for a different promotion.

I ordered an iPhone 12 pro 256gb. I’m definitely getting the 800 credit, my cost on top is $10/month

So my new iPhone 12 shipped today with a return label and box...

is this to return the iPhone 12 if it’s defective or to return my old iPhone 6S to get the tradein deal?

or should I just go to the ATT store to trade it in?

The only time I ever got a return box with my new phone is when I was turning in a device that was part of a payment plan. Is your 6S your current device or do you have one you're still paying on?

Hey guys.

If you want to do this promotion, you can always pay off whatever remaining balance there is on the phone at any time, right?

Wonder what would happen if trade in phone then return as far as credit or payment. What if returned and then bought max. Or vise verse. Two different return values.

it’s my current device that I selected to trade in for their promotional offer

I got an email from AT&T saying the trade-in box was shipping separately.
It specifically said do not use any of the return labels that come with the phone for trade-in.

Stupid question, but are phones available at stores now or are all of you doing the mail order route?
