Some have picked up. I looked up inventory and the model I want isn’t available at an Apple store within 200 miles.Stupid question, but are phones available at stores now or are all of you doing the mail order route?

I'm so confused - looking for some help.
I was previously on an ATT next plan with a "new every 12" feature. I had paid $676.65 of my $1249 iphone 11 pro max installment plan. I purchased an iphone 12 pro on a "next up" plan.
I haven't gotten anything from ATT (I bought the 12 pro from Apple) on a trade-in, but suspect I need to trade in (outside of the tradein.att.com site / promo offer). Is anyone else in this same scenario?
Interestingly enough - the myAtt app shows "contract upgrade" for my 11 pro max and only shows a remaining installment of $52.05; but also says "this installment plan is paid off, no payment is required". I assume, though, if I don't send this device in correctly - I'll be charged?
This has been so confusing this year - why couldn't I have just remained on my "new every 12 months" plan??
No it isn't. I just walked in and they took my name and called me when it was my turn to go in. You do have to wait outside until an associate is ready. Is an appt. required for in-store trade in of old device?
Hey guys.
Can I pre-order a 12 Pro Max, pick it up at the Apple store using this promo on launch day, and then trade in my 8 Plus at my local AT&T store on the same day immediately after?
Where did you get the iPhone 12 from? I just want to make sure I can pick it up at the Apple store on launch day before my trade-in locally.I traded in my Iphone X within 2 hours of powering my new Iphone 12 on, so I don't see why not.
It first depends on the value of the phone you are trading in for the iPhone 12. If you trade in a phone worth $500-$600 then you need to keep the iPhone 12 for at least 20-24 months to recoup the value of the phone you traded. If you trade in a phone worth $300 or less then you will recoup that value within a year of credits. So quick question: if I think I may want to upgrade to a new iPhone within 30 months, am I better off just doing the apple upgrade program or would ATT still make sense and I buy out my phone?

Where did your order your 12 Pro from? AT&T or Apple? If Apple, delivered to your home or in-store pick up?I took my 128gb XR to a corporate store a few hours after I got my 12 pro. It had a crack in the glass, albeit a small one. Qualified for the rebate, in and out in ten minutes. Great deal.
So can I be in the apple upgrade program and still receive the $800 credit to ATT by trading in my iPhone X? Meaning I can continue to upgrade through apple as long as I'm locked in for 30 months to ATT?
Correct. IUP is financing just with apple
Has nothing to do with the carrier

How would I go setting up the trade-calling or just walking in store? Does it matter if I activate the new phone first before trading in?
Yup. That's my plan. Pre-order and pickup at the Apple store. Then drive to the AT&T store immediately after for the trade-in promo.in store pick up at the apple store. Easy
Ok, I’m hoping my print out is pretty standard, but it has the actual trade-in value of my phone but then says $800 in a separate line on the receipt. The guy at the AT&T store assured me I’d get the $800 but I’m a little nervous because...AT&T.

I just took mine in and got this exact same receipt, plus a thermal paper register receipt. I feel confident that this will begin the $800 in credits once the phone I l gave to the store is shipped in. Same here. Mine was a three-year-old 64GB X that was showing $95 in trade when I ordered my 12–so had me a bit concerned that any issue at all would drop it below the $95 threshold for getting the full $800. But the in-store system valued it at $200 so I was happy. Got the two receipts.I just took mine in and got this exact same receipt, plus a thermal paper register receipt.
