If you want to trade in at the store do not fill out the form online. Simply take the phone in an mention you purchased the new phone and want to trade in your old one for the $800 credits. Ask for a print out as well to show the deal.
Oops. I got so nervous about what the store told me that I printed out a form, I guess I have to mail mines in now.

I did my trade in at the ATT store Saturday and processed my credit for my $800. Just now I got a text saying ATT processed a credit for $30. Strange.

This deal will still be around for those phones. The deal will change to be only $700 for the current released phones (12/12 pro) down from the $800. So basically once those phones release you will receive $700 for any iPhone 12 you order on att installments.

You missed my point. It is wrong to not give iPhone 12 Pro Max buyers an opportunity for $800. No one could buy a Pro Max during the $800 promo.

The $800 promo was never listed as including the Pro Max. From the day of the announcement, it was listed as only being eligible for a $700 credit.

Not sure how you know this, when I was at the store I asked if same deal would be available for 12 Pro Max - as I will be ordering two - employee said they have not heard anything about a promo on that phone.

We know this because the $700 offer was on the Apple website from day one.

Here it is being discussed back on October 13.

So how long is this $800/$700 trade-in deal going to last and how do you lock it in? I understand you have 30 days to turn in your old phone after activating your new one but what if you already bought the iPhone 12 when it launched but are waiting for someone's birthday or Christmas to activate?

For those that went the AT&T mail-in trade-in route: Does it mention if the return label has an expiration date?

AT&T store employees are morons. That's why they didn't know.

It sure that’s true - have never seen anything like that about Max. Your reference was someone’s comment, not a link to Apple site. My assumption is that there will be an offer - though doesn’t seem to make sense that trade in would be less on a higher price phone.

Trade-in is less because there is a greater demand potentially for the Mini and Max models.

I just wanted to make sure...if I preorder my 12 Pro MAX this Friday will I be able to get the $350 for my iPhone 6s Plus trade in with At&T trade in promotion?

How long ago did you get your phone? Also did you already send in your trade in?
Hi! I just got my iPhone 12 Pro phone on release date 10/23, so I still have until this Friday to start the return process - however I want whatever system knowing that I'm returning it so I'm eligible for the credits on the 12 Pro Max if I preorder this Friday 11/6. I have not yet traded in my old iphone XR, so I'm hoping that helps me now wanting to switch out the 12 Pro for 12 Pro Max?

Thanks! I just saw on the att website the promo ends this Friday. I hope if I order from apple.com (preorder) it will be fine to meet the deadline!
UP TO $800 OFF APPLE SMARTPHONES

Get up to $800 off an eligible smartphone when you add a new line or upgrade an existing line.

"Offer ends 11/5/2020"

So you need to purchase the new phone before that date? The only other information on that page is that you need to trade-in your eligible Smartphone in good working condition within 30 days of activation. It doesn't say you have to start the trade-in process before that date.

WOAH.

Did not expect the $800 offer to be so brief. Wow.

So - I ordered a 12P thru apple on att installment last week. I also have an 8 to trade in. My 12P won't be here for another week or two (did not preorder), and thus will miss the deadline for the $800 credits dropping to $700.

Does anyone know if ATT will honor the $800 amount, given that the phone was ordered before the publication of the end date? (Obviously can document with emails, etc.).

I’m certain that the offer is tied to order date not date you received the phone. Wouldn’t make sense if it wasn’t.

Receiving a discount is a privilege, not a right. They can choose who they want to give the deal to.
