I've bought two iPhone 8s now from BackStreet and had no problems at all.
Both looked great. The screens looked new, and both batteries were over 80%.
Clean IMEIs.
These were both to trade-in but if I actually needed a spare phone to use I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Just got my iPhone 8 processed. When I sent it to them it was in perfect shape. Now they are trying to say the screen doesn't work. I completely tested the unit before sending it to them. What could be my options? I'am planning on calling AT&T and speaking to whatever department I have to but my hopes aren't high after talking with them before about other issues in the past. Now the phone is only valued at $50 so they won't give me the $800 credit. When I went into the store to trade it in the guy said everything was great with the phone and it qualifies but they couldn't process the in store trade in because I had already did the online label.

Oh, wow, that sucks, and now I'm nervous as hell. I sent in a perfectly fine X and even sent it in the original box and used the box that Apple sent my 12 Pro in.

I think you will be fine, my issue was that it barely qualified for the promo at $100 but now since they are saying it has a bad screen it lowers the value to $50. that's what sucks.

I'm really sorry about this. This is why I hate mailing back phones for trade-ins.

It says major burn-in and bruising. I know what burn-in is but I’ve never heard of bruising. You say you tested the phone. Was it not your personal phone but one you bought just to trade?
Would you have considered it in good enough condition to give to your mom?

Yes there was no burn in or bruising. I had the phone for 2 weeks before I could trade it in a played with it several times to make sure everything worked. It literally had just a few scratches nothing that would’ve been worth noting.

Has anyone had any success with trading in at an authorized retailer store instead of corporate store? I traded in my perfect 8+ at one without realizing it wasn't a 'corporate' store (they make it so hard to tell the difference!). But the rep was helpful and took my trade, answering yes to all questions and giving me the same print out seen in previous posts. I also got an email from "AT&T" thanking me for coming in and listing my trade-in id and receipt number in it.

I feel like it will be ok, but started second guessing when literally every poster stresses going to a corporate store and not an authorized retailer.

I’ve been trying to get online chat with ATT with no luck, and I’ve never gotten a legitimate answer on the phone with them. 2 questions hopefully someone can answer for me.

First I filled out the online form and applied the special trade in code. But ATT just sent me a reminder to mail in my iPhone X. And that email says only get a $200 credit. Not the $800 I signed up for. Anyone else get this?

And second, I’ve never received my mail return package and receipt. Is this been running late? Nice that they remind me to return it, without a a return package!

Anything $95 or over valuation is $800

or $700 now if you somehow didn’t lock it in

Thanks for the info. I submitted the trade in offer on Oct 24th.

Now if I could get a return package.

Why wait for return package? When I submitted online I printed the shipping label. Got my own little box. Packed up the phone nice and safe. Shipped it. AT&T already received it. I got confirmation from them they received. Credit should start applying soon. So again why wait for a return package?

why wait for a return package? it sucks anyway, its a bubble envelope. Print the label, ship in your own sturdy box.

Where do I find the Shipping Label? I’d be glad to print it out.

And would the outer cardboard box my new iPhone shipped in, be ok postage wise to ship it back?

I used the box from Apple that my Pro 12 came in and UPS didn’t say anything to me when I dropped it off. I printed the label off from AT&T website under the trade program site.

I love how smooth this process went (for me)

Pre-ordered 16th, at 7 am my time -- was a bit nerve wrecking since the app and site kept crashing for me but still got launch day delivery for 128GB 12P PB. Won the panel lottery

Gave an 8 I bought on eBay preorder day for $214 shipped into a corporate store launch day, phone received + credits confirmed by rep.

Also got an SE2020 from Walmart, paid it off right away - $250 for 128GB unlocked. Held onto it. Won the panel lottery on that too

It's been a good iPhone year :) something good happened haha

I’m nervous. UPS said my X was delivered and verified by ID and left on the dock. I know its only been one day since it’s arrived but I’m anxious and just hope no mishaps happen.
