Seriously, who the F raised these 20 somethings? Whiny entitlement and utter lack of regard for others is like a freaking epidemic today.

*EDIT* All is revealed in the brah's Instagram feed. Everything makes sense now. LOL.

Some hilarious **** right there that explains everything about this thread :D

Back on the subject, I'd love to see what ends up happening to the OP by the 19th. Hope he keeps the thread updated.

No they did quote some termination fee + prorated something but that was just as I was escalating.

That some termination fee is just the cost of you ending the contract before time. Its normal, pay your obligation out, fulfil the contract, is that so hard to comprehend? Pay your dues

Its not that technical. I just wanted a simple upgrade dude. Ive been a customer for like a decade. Its not unreasonable to ask...

No its not unreasonable to ask, so pay the ETF to break your binding contract, then get the new iPhone, simple really.

Im not waiting two months!! I want to get it tomorrow night with everyone else thats a huge deal and part of the whole experience to have it on the first day! Church that Sunday will be so hype!

so pay the ETF to break your binding contract, then get the new iPhone, simple really.

I did! But ultimately the third guy I talked to was so nice and reasonable saying that "yeah I know we used to be able to do this, I would love to be able to help you but we can't, even if you speak to a manager they can't do it so yeah Im sorry I know you used to be able to do it but they changed the rules and its strict now..."

so pay the ETF to break your binding contract, then get the new iPhone, simple really.

Im surprised it took so long for a reasonable response. Im not a bad person. I just wanted to have my upgrade moved up like they used to do it for us.

so pay the ETF to break your binding contract, then get the new iPhone, simple really.

.

Suck it up and deal with it it's what you signed up for. You're not entitled to any special treatment.

AT&T was super rude over the phone when I tried to get my upgrade pushed up j...

Lol. I can't believe the OP wants AT&T to bump him MONTHS. I can see if it were a few days or maybe a week, but over a month? Lol. No one force you to sign the contract, buddy. If you want upgrade every year, then get AT&T Next.

If AT&T is reading this...DON'T give in to this BS regarding people asking for early upgrade eligibility!

I waited my 2 years, am now eligible, and would really like to get my 6+ in the first batch without a hitch.

Thanks.

A patient customer who "did his time".
;)

ATT lost that "warm and fuzzy" feeling several years ago.

I actually have had the opposite happen.

Had a friend go to South Africa for World Cup in 2010, got an international data plan that ATT apparently didn't correctly institute, and he came home to a $1400 phone bill. He had to scratch and claw to get them to admit they made a mistake, but in the end he got his bill adjusted about -$1000.

When I first got my 5s in January of this year, my IMEI # on my phone didn't match the one on my account so LTE didn't register on my phone. Long story short, ATT phone support said it was an Apple problem which totally wasn't true. Took my phone into an ATT store and had them check my account, they found the problem and good to go. After I did an online chat with ATT about the issue and how unsatisfied I was with their phone support, they credited me almost $300.

So over time, I feel they are trying to keep customers with the cellular wars raging right now and are actually doing a lot better than just a couple of years ago.

Imagine if you had renewed last time in September instead of November.

Such entitlement. I bet Customer Service reps for all the carriers in the world hate septembers. So many people ringing up crying how they want the new iPhone that ain't out yet. "I needz itz noowww. Give me more geebees".
