Why does this need iOS9 anyway? Wifi calling has been supported since iOS8 which Tmobile has been using.

It seems to be enabled for me (Indianapolis), although I get a great AT&T signal at home - I'll try at work tomorrow where my office doesn't have much of a signal...unless someone has a way to force WiFi Calling...

Could you do any better? No.

One of the least valid counterarguments that are always presented on the Internet. You don't need to be a master of the canvas to appreciate when something is poorly drawn. You don't need to be a millionaire music producer to know when songs are almost universally panned as being terrible.

"I'd like to see you do better" is the laziest argument to criticism.

I wonder how the performance is compared to their MicroCell. Can anybody weigh in with their experience after they've tried it?

I turned it on through T-Mobile and I had some connectivity problems but I think they might be related to my router/setup and hopefully not a product of the wifi calling feature.

My AT&T microcell SUCKS. My iPhone constantly switches off the microcell to my local crappy tower. Can't wait for it wifi calling.

I was able to force it by turning on Air Plane mode, then turning on WiFi. Your phone's cellular connection remains off but WiFi works and you'll see an "AT&T WiFi" icon next to your WiFi bars.

Yes, i can confirm this. I have been doing exactly this with my T-Mobile WiFi calling for near a year now.

Weird, it must work different than TMO's implementation. On T-Mobile, it defaults to Wifi calling even if you have 6 bars of service on top of a cellular tower. That's how I'd prefer it. I would rather it use Wifi vs mediocre or even good cellular connectivity. Guess that's not how ATT's going to do it ehh?

Hopefully your work doesn't block most Internet access like mine does. lol If it's not HTTP or HTTPS, it's pretty much blocked.

Luckily we're pretty lax about what's blocked. It's generally just spammy sites that we can't access (which is fine by me) haha

I think this narrows down which areas/devices get the trial run....gotta have AT&T HD Voice and only 6/6+ support it...

AT&T Wi-Fi Calling allows You to make and receive calls and text messages through an existing Wi-Fi network. To use Wi-Fi Calling, your device must be set up for AT&T HD voice and You must have access to the Internet through your device’s Wi-Fi connection. Your device will only make and receive Wi-Fi calls and texts when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable (for example, in poor coverage areas or when your device is in airplane mode with Wi-Fi enabled). If You lose your Internet connection while using Wi-Fi Calling, your call will disconnect unless You are also within AT&T HD Voice coverage. You can disable Wi-Fi Calling by toggling it off in your device settings menu.

Any word on Verizon enabling this soon? I remember when the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus came out that they would do so in 2015..

Hey guys do anyone knows if this work with the 450 nationwide with unlimited data ? Just trying to make sure before I try and turn it on and mess my plan up
