All of us with T-Mobile would like to welcome AT&T subscribers to the 21st century.
The thing is, I actually could do it better, and better in 4 minutes, no 3 minutes...haha. But your post is great, and very true. One of the least valid counterarguments that are always presented on the Internet. You don't need to be a master of the canvas to appreciate when something is poorly drawn. You don't need to be a millionaire music producer to know when songs are almost universally panned as being terrible.
"I'd like to see you do better" is the laziest argument to criticism.
That AT&T WiFi calling icon looks like an art intern cranked it out in 5 minutes.
That was my thought when I first saw it. The decision to combine the well-known WiFi and Phone iconography makes sense (even if it is obvious). But the symmetry is horribly out of whack.
Any word on Verizon enabling this soon? I remember when the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus came out that they would do so in 2015..
Aren't they great!!! Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile has NONE of those limitations. Works any time you are on Wi-Fi, Does not require you to use HD voice (although why not?) and does not drop your call as it switches back and forth. We don't even have a HD voice switch setting-it just works. Not to mention that T Mobile is the only carrier that provides Apple's Wi-Fi continuity even during the beta.I think this narrows down which areas/devices get the trial run....gotta have AT&T HD Voice and only 6/6+ support it...
AT&T Wi-Fi Calling allows You to make and receive calls and text messages through an existing Wi-Fi network. To use Wi-Fi Calling, your device must be set up for AT&T HD voice and You must have access to the Internet through your device’s Wi-Fi connection. Your device will only make and receive Wi-Fi calls and texts when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable (for example, in poor coverage areas or when your device is in airplane mode with Wi-Fi enabled). If You lose your Internet connection while using Wi-Fi Calling, your call will disconnect unless You are also within AT&T HD Voice coverage. You can disable Wi-Fi Calling by toggling it off in your device settings menu.
Available in Mpls
Yes except with the ATT implementation it 's more like the 20th century. All of us with T-Mobile would like to welcome AT&T subscribers to the 21st century.

The only limitation T-Mobile has is that if you leave Wi-Fi and you're in an area that has very spotty or no T-Mobile coverage (which applies to a lot more places than it does with AT&T), the call will drop.
Verizon does have wifi callingCome on Verizon... This would be so handy at work where there is literally no reception in 80% of the building, yet wifi throughout...
