FINALLY got my iPhones unlocked today :D:D:D

Submitted two cases on the 9th, and got one email and one phone call today.

I was never an AT&T customer. Got these phones off craigslist. Never asked for proof of purchase or anything. So awesome!!! :]


It sucks though cuz one of my iPhones is still stuck on that lame 6.15 iPad baseband.. still need to use custom ispws to restore, and still cant use gps :(

i think if u restore it to stock ipsw the baseband will be changed!! u can give it a try!
 
Does anyone know a website to see the unlock status of an iPhone? I use imei.info but they have a 2 imei limit and I have about 150 imei's to check. I am not affliated with imei.info I am just telling you in advance that is the only website I know of. Thanks

there's no way of going back\forth the IPAD BB in 3GS according to JB community.

for the record i just get my 2nd case created 12th resolved today, so any body was given 20/04 resolution date will be unlocked today i guess.

are you AT&T customer?did you buy ur iPhone at full price?
 
This is really frustrating... All the AT&T chat specialists keep telling me that the unlocks are for AT&T customers only. Can someone help me with this please? :( and it says "Thanks for contacting the AT&T business support" thing... I used the chat link given in this thread.

I believe they stopped giving support to non-customers over online chat.

You're supposed to call them.
I did two requests over the phone and was never rejected.
 
Use the chat on att.com/global i am not an AT&T customer and have unlocked my 3 phones over the chat.

that chat asks for the number as well!!anyways i am trying to inquire about my case lets see what happens!

update nope they arent helpful unless and unless you have an Account with AT&T!

I have unlocked 3 phones from Europe, every time I entered my local phone number, not ATT one.

Since I am unable to authenticate your account, you will need to contact AT&T Customer Care at 1(800) 331-0500 or 1(916) 843-4685 and Press Option #1 to have your iPhone unlocked. Agents there will be able to provide assistance.
 
This unlock endeavor is getting really frustrating now. I had my friend (who is an AT&T customer) call them.

Using my IMEI, AT&T was somehow able to determine that my phone was jailbroken AND unlocked, running on T-Mobile, and for that, they couldn't unlock my device. WTF?

just restore it and then try again!!
 
I would, but my power button is jammed and i need to restore to 5.0.1 with the baseband I'm currently at until the unlock goes through. I would need DFU mode to do this but I can't get into it.

isn't there an app you can run on a mac that knocks it into DFU mode?

What happens when you try to use it on a non AT&T carrier?
 
So i received an email from att last tuesday about my uncle iphone 4 which is overseas. We contacted them over email.

Anyways how long does it usually take to received the email about plugging into itunes to get it unlock? In the email that i received it stated it could take up to 14 days.

Should i wait for the itunes email confirmation or go ahead and try it with itunes?

Ps:i dont want to loose the sam unlock on his iphone by disactivating to try if itunes will unlock it!

in the email i think they are just telling you about their case and inquiring you to wait for 14 days! so my advice is to wait till 14 days and then do something!
