Has anyone else ordered through the ATT store website successfully (got to the order confirmation page) but have not received a confirmation email?

I placed my order this morning (around 10:00 CST) but have not gotten any kind of confirmation email. When I try to check my order status on ATT's website, it says it does not recognize the order number (possibly due to the fact that it states orders within the last 24 hours may not be available). But I thought I at least should have received a confirmation email by now.

People can complain about AT&T all they want. Do they actually think Verizon would do any better. The Verizon network has never been tested the way AT&T has with the iPhone and iPad. If you want Verizon, then get an Android or Blackberry.

I don't think anyone expected the volume of pre-orders that slammed the service today. No matter how you plan for a flood, it still going to be a disaster. I can't wait to hear what the number of orders actually is and what the opening day sales numbers are going to be. But I'll bet the Android forces are not happy.
 
The real bullshit here is that NEW AT&T customers can waltz right on into their ordering system no problem, but existing customers are subjected to the retarded server from hell.

Not true. I'm a new customer buying 2 iphones for two people who are also new ATT customers. It's still not working for me. The problem I'm having with the ATT site is the old phone number transfer which does not work at all.
 
What are you talking about? After trying apple.com and AT&T.com all day I just used the apple store app. Took a couple of tries but I got it to work. There is a note right in the store saying I have a phone reserved until the store closes on the 24th. I also got an email that says the same thing. Yes it skipped the At&T check but I have known for weeks I am eligible for an up grade so I don't care.

If you know you are up grade eligible use the app.

Where "in the store" does it tell you you have a phone reserved? I got the e-mail, but I don't see anything in the store.

This what me and a bunch of other people have been saying since the whole "hey everyone, just "pre-order" on the app!" hoopla started.

The sad part in my case is that I did this last night at around 1 AM .... oh well. what can you do, eh?:(
 
Just went through on ATT

I'm kinda in disbelief at the moment that it worked, but I do have a confirmation number...

Best of luck to the rest of you still dealing with this mess.
 
I think I just ordered one from at&t! We'll see...no email confirming it yet but I have a receipt. I'm just afraid it won't come in on the 24th.
 
just came from three att stores and pre-ordered a 32gb after 30 minute wait should have done this earlier.
 
These guys should at least pull the sites down until they have this problem fixed. It's a joke they leave the sites active, forcing people to try over and over again to no avail.
 
Finally purchased one through ATT.com
they seemed to ahve rebooted/upgraded something
 
My girlfriend and I got ours reserved on the apple store app for the iphone with no problems! I got tired of trying every 3 minutes waiting for the online crap to go through. iStore app litereally took less than 2 minutes and got email confirmation a minute later. :D

As long as you realize its just "reserved". When you get there on the 24th, you'll be one of hundreds in line waiting for their "reserved" phone. Meanwhile, the store only got 50-100 phones in shipment. So you'll be SOL. Should have just went to att.com and ordered it and had it shipped to your house. You'll be assured of getting one then. As they ship those out first then ship remaining stock to at&t stores.

I was able to place my order on att.com in about 5 mins.
 
Just got through on the Premier site and successfully ordered! :D

Keep trying everyone, I think it might be easing up!
Did they hit you for the $18 upgrade fee on the Premier site? They did to me for some reason. I'll worry about that later. Just wanted to get my place in line.

I hope that AT&T took their system offline when they discovered the security breach. I’m no lawyer, but I know how to say willful negligence and class action. 

According to Gawker, no testing was done after system updated this weekend. As a project manager, all I can say is this weekend…no testing…whhhhaaaaa?????
 
so i reserved an Iphone through iphone app. I clicked the $199 iphone. i picked the store and etc... anyways it went through and got a confirmation email. look carefully it says that i ordered the $599 non contract iphone????? that was not even an option. can someone tell me whats going on can i just go there on the 24th and tell them Im buying a plan and pay the subsidized price????

Hey guys, i called radioshack and they took my information on the phone and they even checked my upgrade eligibility on the phone as well. You can confirm with them by getting Radioshack to give you the PIN number once the pre-order goes through: I have 2 PIN number because I reserved 2 iPhone 4. Here are my PIN numbers: 2200000033989, 2200000041164. LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANY LUCK CALLING RADIOSHACK AND PRE-ORDERING WITH THEM!!

i called radio shack too but they said that they have no idea how many they will be getting in or what size they will be, etc. that is why they aren't making you pay upfront.
 
Went to a local AT&T store...

I got sick of trying on both Apple.com and ATTwireless.com and went to an AT&T store about two blocks from where I work. I waited for maybe 20 minutes to be waited on and the process took about 15 minutes.

I was with the store's manager and he told me that I picked the best way to pre-order my phone. He knew that both ATTwireless.com and Apple.com were having issues with AT&T's servers. He said that, "AT&Ts internal system takes precedence over anything online." I forked over my credit card and got confirmation that I will indeed be receiving my new iPhone 4 black 32GB on the 24th in the mail via FedEx. The process definitely was delayed and the system even kicked back my credit card a few times before it went through.

Other things to note were that he seemed to be pretty sure that Verizon won't be getting the iPhone until 2012. Also, that the white iPhone won't be coming 'til later this summer. No exact dates were given to him.
