Just as an fyi all (and mind you I am NOT affiliated with Atomic, but I have been in touch with them frequently) I spoke with Unni regarding some of the concerns everyone has been bringing up...here were some of his responses:
1. Regarding the gap in the delrin - Atomic has been made aware of this, and with their new CNC machines they are now able to address this issue and produce a much more precisely cut piece. Unni has stated that he will send out a replacement case to anyone who wishes to request one - and that you can then send back the old case, regardless of condition.
2. Delays in shipping - With the new machines, they have been able to start cranking out a lot more cases. The estimated is that in about two weeks, orders placed before 3 PM will ship the same day.
3. The silverback - still in prototype form while they iron out design issues. Wont be out before New Year
4. F1 Carbon Plates - they are ironing out some issues with this as well. Apparently putting a logo onto that particular part causes the carbon fiber to melt...so they're working on correcting this before selling the item.
5. Issues with not getting responses - Atomic basically has had one dude answering all emails. It's safe to say he's been getting hammered (thats my editorial on this) - they've apparently hired 2 new customer reps who will be responding to emails. They're also changing email setup (going to exchange) to avoid some issues that they believe may be caused by their GoDaddy mail.
6. Color spare caps - 2 weeks and they should be available
7. Screen protectors - expected in 30 days approx.
As an add, they are also currently (in case anyone here cares) engineering cases for HTC Evo and BB Torch.
Finally, they've established an email address strictly for escalations/matters that require IMMEDIATE attention (other inquiries, I've been told, will be ignored) - this address is
AtomicEscalations@gmail.com
I know that a lot of folks here have had a lot of complaints, especially with the customer service - it seems that at least they're trying to address them, which IS nice to see.
