how am i lying? i am not tied to alumacase in any way shape or form. i cant control what they do with their facebook. and i already appologized and started a thread that got deleted. and i emailed the site to sponsor and they havent replied. so feel free to start a thread where you bash me and i'll go defend myself on it. thank you
I have no intentions on bashing you. Never have, just wanted you to stay out of this thread and start your own. We were discussing a case and you come in and start promoting your case in it. But why would alumacase honestly have a link to your facebook on their facebook? Why promote another vendors case on their site? It makes no sense, that would be like Ford promoting a Chevy on their site but whatever you say. Start your own thread and I will look forward to reading the reviews on your case although I already know exactly what they will say, but goodluck.
Its actually delrin and the price of delrin is higher than aluminum by itself. Let alone to have it finished and what ever other composite is in it. I actually researched delrin and seen what the cost of it is because I thought it was a little high too but when you look at the material cost it's really not. They probably make less money on these cases than they would on their aluminum case. Plus you had bought a vapor didn't you? So if you think the atomic is ugly but looks like the vapor then what are you saying? You buy ugly cases?

In short, if your not interested in the case then don't bother posting in the thread. So far your the only one who has said anything about the look of the case. Everyone else thinks it looks great. Man, I really, REALLY hope you're "bringing it" with this case because I gotta tell you, pissing off macrumors readers is not the right place to start if you're looking to get people ordering. Look forward to seeing the finalized product.
Back to the hybrid - there's really very little point to arguing element vs vapor: they're essentially the same case. If you want to argue that the vapor looks better...well, I can't argue that because I haven't gotten my hands on one, or even an opportunity to order one. That in itself is a big plus to atomic in my mind
Add to that the fact that they've taken the reports of signal problems and come up with a solution that doesn't "maybe sortof deal with it" - but they've put out a new case that DOES address it. I consider that to be another tremendous plus in Atomics favor. At no time did Unni suggest I go buy lucky labs stickers to make their case work - he took a return with no questions asked and even more: I was able to buy the case within a week of deciding I wanted one.The hybrid case is something which I'm sure more companies will start cranking out down the road. It's true, it's not 100% aluminum...but you know what? I think it's been proven that 100% aluminum flat out does not work. Of all the popular aluminum cases mentioned on this site, not a single one has been tested and shown to NOT screw up the signal for those in less than 5 bar territory (obviously there have been individual reports, but this is a general statement). So next best thing: something that retains the look that everyone wants while getting rid of the signal shredding. Atomic, so far, seems to have done that and then some. They've stepped up their customer service, they have a website that is simple to navigate and easy to order from (You listening Alumacase?), and the aren't selling stuff they don't have ready to sell (Element, how baout you, you listening?).
Once you have pictures, make sure they're not too big, 300kb in quality will be just fine.
Upload them onto a free image hosting site like photobucket or imageshack (you can google these).
Once they're uploaded, there should be an option to post these pictures to the forums, you'll notice this because they will provide you a line of text with
Then all you have to do afterward is to copy/paste that line of text into your response here in the forum.

Honestly once its on the phone you can not tell its even composite. To me, it feels no different than the metal side does. It really is solid, you couldn't accidentally break it, you would have to actually try to and it still has enough to protect the phone probably as good as some of the others do if it was dropped. To me it kind of has the ar15 feel to it. But that it just me, wait until others chime in and give their opinions. Like I said, I am happy with mine, it does everything they said it would, they have answered my emails fairly quickly. There are a few others on here that have one also, maybe they can give their impressions on the feel of the case and so forth.
What has the shipping/delivery transit times been like so far? I'm tempted by all the positive reviews and just curious as to how long the wait time is from order to actual receipt.
I ordered mine on 11/11 and it shipped from Hollywood Fla. on 11/12. FedEx tracking shows it as expected delivery on 11/18 to NY.
