Did you accept the T&C email right after you ordered or did you accept it on the 15th? I heard that it wont start the actual process until thats accepted so maybe that is why the date is different? If you ordered on the website you actually accepted terms and conditions before you finalized the order

Premier Order - Confirmed 9/14 856am EDT
Current Status - Preorder Processing

Regular AT&T Order - Confirmed 9/15 100am (Credit Card charged)
Current Status - Pending Shipment, Backorder (1)

Spoke to AT&T Premier and confirmed I'll be receiving phone in 14-21 days. Complained and asked since I ordered it "in time" compared to some people who ordered later than me and getting a backorder of 0 on their regular AT&T Order, why did my order got pushed back since they're implementing a "first-come-first-served" policy.

She responds by saying, "Good point! But you're not the only one experiencing this. And we received so many orders for the phone it was overwhelming!"

I just responded, "Well, if Apple can better handle orders as much as 3x more than what you're handling, why can't you? It just shows how disorganized your company is. It's not an explanation, you're trying to give me an excuse."

And so on and so forth... In the end, I just decided I'll wait at the AT&T Store and see if I can get one. Then cancel this preorder since it won't ship until Oct anyway.

This is the 1st time I ordered thru AT&T. I woke up at 230am and was trying the Apple website for more than an hour. I did it because when I finally got through on the Apple website, it already showed a 2-week estimate and AT&T still shows a Sep 21 delivery.

Oh well, this is the 1st and last.

Just checked my order now... And it now has a backorder of "0" ... Ok, now I'm stoked!
 
A few hours ago I reported my order went from b/o to ordered. Now I've rec'd my CSS -- grandfathered unlimited data & $5 text plan in tact. Still not able to find a tracking # on UPS or FedEx. I suppose that's next.
 
So pissed at AT&T. Called them earlier found out my order wasn't placed till the 16th by premier even though I ordered it early morning of the 14th. Wanted cancel it and the guy left me on hold for 30 min. I hung up and called back. That guy was a little bit more helpful...promised me he would go find out what was going on and try to cancel my order so I can pick one up in store. Hasn't called back yet. Waste of time.
 
Pressing F5 like crazy. Seems like alot of the 7-10 am EDT Premiers are finally coming off of backorder. Hopefully I'm soon!

Talked to a AT&T rep about shipping info they said use my order number on FedEx for tracking that it would tell me when it will ship.
Tried it and it don't work.
They also said FedEx will email me with the tracking when it does ship out.
All sounds like bad info to me.

Ordered 4am on Friday.

Mine also changed JUST NOW. I too have 9/15 and I am Premier. I guess they are doing the Premier now from 7-10. :)

Thought I would throw in my two cents as many of you have helped me out.

Friday
Ordered premier on Friday at 7:30 AM Central time. Immediately received email conformation.

That sounds very much like me... I ordered early Friday morning (apple's site wasnt working... every other iphone I've ordered there)... email confirmation right away...

I didn't bother checking the status though... but did get irate with a carpet bombing of 8 "call us" emails a few hours after close on Saturday... call anyhow.. get "call during our normal hours"

Sunday called in the morning... also had the "call volume" issue.. but kept trying every 15 minutes or so... finally got in and was on hold for more than an hour. Get connected... "your card info isn't right" ... verified every single bit of it "huh... well let me try" ... some hold later "it is still not working... i'll cancel your order "(oh brother) " and place a new one.... oh you cant keep your data plan " (wha??) .. anyhow... sometime later he hangs up on me while entering info. So nothing. Several hours later (actually after close time) I call back... on the original order number (as never got a new one) .. dont get the "call during normal hours" ... on hold for 45 minutes... get a guy... says it is just a glitch.. its happened all day... I ask to change the card just incase ... but he says he would rather "push it again and i'll get a conf email in a day or so and you will get it shipped on time"..

Called AMEX on Monday... they didnt decline any charges. Still 2 $1 pending charges from ATT in the online account. Today STILL dont see a pending full charge for it.

I can't see my order on any link OTHER than the one with the confirmation... which I chocked up to premier... but apparently that isn't supposed to be the case?

Maybe I should try calling them again... of course at this point I am about to just say "if it doesnt come i'll switch to verizon" ... came from them to get iphone... but sadly their coverage maps dont cover my house or work in LTE yet ATT does. But hours of wasting me time.... and why cant I make and verify changes like credit card online? I mean really... (of course it seems like they screwed up).

For me, while I would rather not want to wait for weeks... all I REALLY care about it knowing... are you even going to ship at all? (I mean it isnt showing up in any other location, I dont have a contract change online, nothing... only the premier order status that still says attention).
 
How are some of you guys that ordered later than I did getting changed to 0 in the backordered column? I ordered a 16gb white at 3:03 am est on the 14th and its still backordered. I called CSR and she gave me the number 888-333-6651 to track my order and it says that it is processing and already shipped to warehouse. But when I track with 611 it says its backordered.

She also said that people who ordered before 11 am will get their phones shipped out on the 21st so I don't think she knows what she is talking about.

FWIW I ordered at 5am est and a lot of people who ordered after me got their orders filled before me so I wouldn't be too concerned yet. If the phone system isn't telling you b/o thats good b/c it was telling me b/o yesterday. Now it tells me its processing but no mention of b/o.
 
The CSS is your Customer Service Summary. I ordered my phone Friday morning and received this email early this afternoon. The beginning of the email reads: "Thank you for choosing AT&T! This email confirms recent activity related to your wireless account and explains how to access your Customer Service Summary where you will find:
An outline of your services
An estimate of your next bill
Your calling plan
General account information

Seems like everyone who ordered before the cut off times will get there phones by Friday, you lucky.....

Soooo I gotta ask... Where is everyone seeing a "backordered" column? I've scoured around my account pages and see no mention of that.

The My Orders page only has Description, Item Status, Tracking Number, Carrier, Shipping Date, and Quantity columns.

Over the weekend I received a new email saying my status was updated and I wouldn't receive my phone for 14-21 days. Now this email just came in!!! Woohoo!!!

That is pretty sweet! I wish i could at least get a confirmation email sent to me lol.
 
I think I got shafted by AT&T. I pre-order through Premier at around 6:20am on the 14th. Went through got my order conformation email stating that I will get it as soon as the 21st. Check the order later that day and it showed processing. I was told premier support was not open over the weekend. So when I checked my status it showed attention on monday morning. I called was on hold for two hours before speaking to them. Order was not completely processed because my credit card did not match my shipping billing zip code. Changed that but was told that it would be processed but that it was going to be at the end of the line! :mad: I was very unhappy by this. I still had the order placed. My order through premier shows order as of the 14th and that its processing. However, the other status site. Shows 1 in backorderd. With an order date of the 17th. I think I was screwed out of a 21st ship. Opinions? Should I cancel and try my luck or cross my fingers and hope? If I cancelled how long before it showed I was eligible?
 
I ordered 1 16g black on 9/14 0400am pst through premier. However, on the order status on the regular AT&T site, it said that the order date was made on 9/15. Up until right now, I've been backordered. I just received an email from AT&T containing CSS information. Right then, I checked the order status again and noticed that I went off the backorder list. So, I'm guessing I'll be getting my product on Friday?
 
Ordered at 4:45am EST, but still have backordered=1.
Why do people who ordered after me have gotten more progress than me?
