ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Ok this is my first time pre ordering a phone online.
I pre ordered on the AT&T site the 32 BLK Iphone 5
Got confirmation order email at 3:06 am
Processed email around 3:00 pm that same day...
My order is still in backordered..
Just want to know if i will get it on the 25th...
this is making me desperate...
 
Mine just changed as well to 0.

Ordered 16gb black at 7:20am est 9/14 on premier. ATT site showed 9/15.

Must have just changed to 0 in past 2 hours.

I would ignore the CSS Agent for now. I have been told both 9/21 and 14-21 days in both emails and over the phone. If you see my post 2 pages back, there is hope as I received a "Final Confirmation" that is now guaranteeing mine will ship 9/21 and I ordered the same 64GB Black iPhone 5 a few hours later than you did. My order still says processing.

So I would still keep hope.
 
First time poster, wanted to get in on the action.

Ordered 16gb White at roughly 8:50est. Currently my order is "Pending Shipment" anyone else have something different in the tracking number area?

Most people coming off backorder have the 16gb model so I would be patient. I ordered at 2:07am central time and I'm still on backorder for my 32gb. If nothing changes by Thursday evening then you have a problem....
 
Wow, why is everyone getting so mad at AT&T? Systems cant keep up with the amount of orders that there were. Quit complaining and stop worrying, if come Friday night and you dont have your phone then there is something to complain about. How has AT&T dropped the ball on anything? So what your phone says its on backorder? So what your order doesnt match the date of the day your ordered? So what you have pending charges on your credit card? So what the pending charges on your credit card have dropped off? Its Tuesday, come on people quit complaining and calling customer service because its not going to do anything. The customer service reps are not at the warehouses, theyre sitting in a cubicle with the same information that you have.

Quit complaining about nothing. Wait until there is something to complain about. Like not having your phone on Friday. No one has their phones today not just you.

I hope mine, like a lot people, gets shipped on time. The white looks so much better.
 
I ordered 16GB black on Sept 14 via Premier Online Store around 0735 EDT

2 min later got email stating

"Your iPhone has been reserved and should arrive as soon as Sept 21, 2012."

Pending charge on card on Sept 15th for $209.99 from AT&T Bethlehem Penn

thought the amount was kinda weird?? but anyway

Had Been backorder status until sometime tonight when backorder went to "0"

Think I'm good for Friday!:) Here's to hoping you all get the same!

One question though.... I know Apple has a paper you can print out and sign for delivery to leave at the door bc they require a signature. Anyone know if ATT requires a signature or if they have an authorization form to leave the box?

AT&T premier was totally dead. Got up in the morning and before leaving for work tried once more. Success right away for a 16GB black on the premier website at 06:42. Got a confirmation email within seconds. My card was hit for a $199 authorization the next day at 00:40. Status shows Processing on premier and in progress/1 back ordered on AT&T.com

The email says it is reserved and "should arrive as early as 9/21". Think I'm good to go for Friday. If not, that's fine. What's another week or two?

UPDATE: Mine went off backorder sometime between 15:00 and 18:00 PDT today. :)
 
I'm tired of checking my order to see if it's off backorder but can't stop. What time is the intervention?

That is strange. The only thing i received is something that said thank you for your order, and we will email you when the item has shipped also. But it looks nothing like that. It had an estimated ship date of on or after 9/21. Which is the vaguest thing i have ever seen!

but i'm still waiting for my other iPhone white to change to 0.

Noob here also.

What I have gathered reading other's posts, most if not all still say pending shipment on ATT.

The trick is, goto UPS and FEDEX and go "tracking by reference" on both sites. Try using your phone number attached to your order or your order number as tracking numbers.

Mine doesn't show up right now. It may tomorrow.

We were both in the same exact boat. Relieved it changed to 0 tonight.
