I ordered mine at 12:04a.m. on the 14th and got an email confirmation pretty much immediately. I am not going to worry about it too much as I had to be one of the first as I literally sat there and watched the AT&T site countdown to when it said you could order, and did so. My tracking just says pending but I will assume my phone will be here on Friday...or I won't be a happy "AT&T" camper:)
 
Happy to see the backorder number going down to 0 for all the Premier fellows :). Guess, most of us will eventually be getting it on Friday itself.

Yeah, I just ranted at the Premier reps telling them why should my order be pushed back when I ordered it "on time" per their cutoff.

Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore. If the statement from an AT&T Warehouse insider is true, that if you're status is "0" backorder, then we should get our phones on Friday. I've already scheduled a day off that day! LOL
 
Well its not looking good for me..... Ordered 64G Black @ 3:40am CST and att site still says processing. I did a live chat with them and the agent told me 14-21 days after the 21st is my delivery date. Maybe they are just instructed to say that but we will see.....

So.. I ordered my iphone 5 white 16gb on Friday, 9/14 around 9.30am. I immediately got confirmation email along with the order number (premier order#) and stating i should get my phone as soon as sept 21. I didn't get any email from ATT after that one. In the confirmation email, I saw a link to check the status on sunday, it had changed to "Attention". I could only see my order on the status website (from the email link). I wasn't able to pull any information for other order status sites as many of you are.

So, on Monday, I called Premier line 3 times and after waiting for almost 1 hour each time, I got someone to help me. The lady informed that they needed to verify my address and process the order. She took care of everything and immediately I saw status change to Preorder processing. I am now able to see my order on the other order page (where you can see backorder status), however, the date of order is listed 9/17 and the phone is on backorder. On the premier website link, the date of order is 9/14.
I called them again today, and according to them everything is ok and if my phone was delayed then someone will email me.

my questions:
a) Did anyone else was in same bucket?
b) Which status should I really follow? the premier link one or over all order one? I have 2 different order numbers. The premier starts with 1010... and the other starts with EKTP.
 
It seems like all of the white ones are still back ordered.

I wonder if that is the case and the white ones are maybe already either in the US and staged or they are en route from China and once in the state will get a status change.

I'd go by the AT&T Order#. I ordered mine roughly 40mins after you and had the date change by a day from premier to AT&T. From reading other posts people that have ordered around us and getting a 0 instead of 1 in the backorder slot. Mine still hasn't changed.
 
The second one I ordered is off of backorder. The one I ordered about 15 minutes earlier isn't. Same color, same size, same shipping address. Weird!
 
Frack ATT! A CSR entered my order wrong on 9/14 and I called daily to correct it, today I was told now that it's corrected I am on the wait list 2-3 weeks.


I asked for a supervisor and after 2 minutes I was told the manager said "This is an apple problem." I asked to speak to the super and was told it would be 1-2 days for them to get back to me.

How is it an apple problem if ATT messed it up? you cant not tell me they do not have some stock set aside for issues, or at least direct me to a local store who will hold a phone.

So putting them on blast right now.

I ordered white 64gb and it's been off back order since yesterday.
 
Since I ordered on 9/14 before the cutoff and but it seems like my order didn't even start the process until I accepted the T&C on 9/15 and now shows that as order date. If it doesn't ship this week I am going to try to make them waive the upgrade fees. The guy told us we just had to make sure it was accepted before it would ship on 9/20.

ATT is getting me on my last nerve right now! Their whole ordering system is an absolute mess! I am on the phone right now on hold to try to get to a supervisor. They are trying to tell me now that my order is indeed on backorder (even though previous reps have told me otherwise) and that I won't get my iPhone until Oct 4-6 SCREW THAT!

I stayed up til 3 in the freaking morning that night trying to order my iPhone so I could ensure that it would be delivered by Friday. I have PROOF my order was placed an hour and 15 minutes after midnight.

I have not gotten one email since my order to let me know where my order is. If it wasn't for me having to call and check up on things, I would be completely left in the dark.

Initially, they said I needed they to do a "Deposit check" which is why my order initially got held up. Yeah a deposit check since i've been a customer since 2003, never missed a payment, and have spotless credit right?

Finally the girl gave me the go ahead and my card was finally charged but she said this would NOT, and I repeat, NOT place me in the back of the line!

This is utter BS! I am so over this company now. This was the tip of the iceberg for me. The facetime over cellular was something I could tolerate but this just did it for me.

I got that same email after I accepted the Terms and COnditions on 9/15. Mine still is backordered and still shows 9/15 order date even though I ordered 9/14. It was my 2nd email I received and nothing since then.

I am in the exact same boat as you. I ordered through premiere at 6:30am EST. Got the email with the link to check the status and all... Checked it on Sunday morning and it said Attention for both my orders... Called the number and was on hold for 2 hours... got through to someone who said the address needed verified... then of course the call dropped... (AT&T). Called back and talked to someone Monday morning who pushed my card through and I saw both charges in full at that point and the status went to "preorder processing" and showed my order date of 9/14. I just called AT&T to see if they could tell me if I was on backorder or not because I can't check the other order status sites and she said that since my order wasn't made until 9/17 that my iPhone would ship between Oct. 5 and Oct. 16th... I went to retentions... Who proceeded to tell me that on his end it said the 17th but since my end said 14th he didn't know if there was an issue or not.. He literally didn't know what to tell me...

Long story short, I'm going to hold out until Thursday evening and if it doesn't say shipped at that point I'm going to cancel and go stand in line at the AT&T store at about 3:00am. What sucks is that I have to work at 8:30 Friday... It's gonna be a long day if it comes down to that. Is anyone else having this type of issue? I'm thinking about contacting BBB if I can't get some type of credit after this whole mess.. The whole thing is on AT&T... Not me.
