ATT told me about an hour ago that my Iphone 5 would ship Friday (9/21) overnight...they told me yesterday it would arrive on that day.....ordered mine at 3:05am edt on 9/14.....still showing processing on order status and my card is still pending......they seem confused...wish I had just waited and went to the ATT store.

What does tracking number say for people with backordered products?

ok update, the sup just told me it may be delivered this Friday but the latest would be on Oct 6th. This is just BS when their website put in big bright bold letters that it would be delivered on the 21st.
Whatever, i'm over it. Like someone else said, i'm just gonna let it be and not try to think about it. But I will tell you this, this whole charade has left a very sour taste in my mouth with ATT.

Did you order online thru "Business" or was it over the phone or was it as a regular customer?
I actually have two separate orders. The order I placed online thru the "Small Business" link sent a confirmation email with just a long order number and the only way I can see the status is by clicking a link and logging into small business premier.
The other order that seems to be getting the proper email confirmations, including one that looks like the posters confirmation and allows me to see my order status with backorder info, etc. was placed over the phone with a premier business rep that is supposedly the designated rep that handles orders for my business account.
Both of my orders are 64GB Black iPhone 5's and they each have different order status info and have to be checked by different order status methods. (Not sure why the difference)
If you have a backorderd product it won't have a tracking #. That's the state I'm at.
right, i was wondering if it said anything, i.e. pending, in process, or something like that. trying to differentiate b/o and non b/o phones
I was going to do the same (take off Friday); excited for a new toy (sad I know)
But I'll just work part of the day and leave early, figuring it wont hit my doorstep until 3pm any way.
My black 32gb just changed to 0 backorder, it was ordered at 11:10am EST.
My black 32GB ordered at 7:59am EST still shows backordered. Makes no sense that some later orders seem to be moving faster than earlier orders.

Sounds like the black phones are being taken care of first? Not seeing a lot of movement for the whites, white 32 here

That will let you know if your phone is backordered.
That seems to be the consensus (scripted to say 14-21 days).
I think most everyone's still says IN PROGRESS or PROCESSING.
Goto www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status
enter your info there (look up by wireless number works for me-order number did not).
See if it says 1 or 0 under QTY BACKORDERED.
The consensus is if it says 0 your in good shape to get it on Friday.
I would assume you should get it Friday based on the time you ordered it. You ordered it earlier than I did. I ordered mine at 7:20 am est and, I'm looking poised to get it Friday (fingers crossed).
Nice!!! Thats better than my Final Confirmation email stating my phone will arrive on 9/21!!!
